Jason heard Edward talking, he wasnt concerned with himself though, he just wanted Damienne to be safe... He heard Damienne call, she was there... He didnt want her to see him like this and he was greatful when he heard Edward telling her to stay downstairs. He didnt know who Edward was calling, an ambulance? He didnt want all that fuss, he certainly didnt need Frankie freaking out about it. Though he knew she would know Tobias had done this, he knew it would anger her. Tobias was a determinded to ruin Frankies life and try and contol her... Jason wouldnt let that happen though, he knew it wasnt what she wanted. His breathing was getting harder... he felt like he wasnt getting enough air.
The next thing he knew he heard a familiar voice... He remembered doctor Cullen, he had met him when Gary so expertly put that bolt through his hand. He had remembered how nice a doctor he had been, so young yet so wise and talented at the same time. He winced as he was helped up, everything was hurting, and leaking. He groaned and tried his best to smirk 'Kids huh?' He gasped for air 'Damienne.... Is she... okay?' He managed between breaths. He needed to make sure she was safe.
He looked to Carlisle, he knew ho couldnt tell the whole truth... He couldnt know the truth behind his family, that his son, a shapeshifter had done this to get to Damienne. 'Family trouble...' He winced, he was trying to put on a brave face but it was failing, the pain was too great. 'Tobias... my son.... Is very strong...' He lifted his head back and gasped for air, every breath was painful and unforfilling. He felt dizzy and sleepy, he was fighting though, for Damienne.

Edward was relieved when he heard Carlisle... The smell of Jasons blood was strong, but he was holding up. He just wanted to protect Damienne, he couldnt help but feel this Tobias character was involved... He moved back to let Carlisle get to Jason, he gritted his teeth, Jasons blood covered him. He felt helpless but at least Jason would get the help he needed. Edwards suspisions were confirmed, all of them, he felt a growl rising in his throat, so Tobias was a shapeshifter... But Damienne and Jason werent, they were human, if that was the case the surely they knew about the Cullen family? He didnt have long to think over that when Carlisle told him to get his bag.
He hadnt heard the first time and he nodded as he exited the room, he knew Carlisle was just getting him away from the blood, but it already covered him, and he couldnt face Damienne looking like this... He walked to the stairs and called down to Alice 'Alice! Get Dad's bag!' He knew Alice would find the blood hard but he didnt want Damienne to see him covered in her dads blood, it wasnt the kind of image he wanted Damienne remembering... Especially with dog blood in her family.
As Alice placed the bag at the bottom of the stairs he rushed down to get it before taking it to Carlisle. He took a deep breath so he wouldnt find the smell so tempting. He pushed open the door and passed the bag to Carlisle 'Here Carlisle... How is he doing?' He wanted to make sure he was safe, and he was there if Carlisle needed his help...

Alice looked to Damienne and nodded, she knew that Carlisle would be able to help... He was able to heal humans, unlike Vampires... She was worried that she hadnt seen this coming, she didnt understand why she hadnt seen anything... She nodded slowly as as she asked if Carlisle was her dad. 'Carlisle is our Foster father... Hes also a doctor at the hospital...' She didnt know if that was the wisest thing to tell her, but it was the truth. 'Sometimes some things are more important that others Damienne...' She knew Damienne was angry, but it was a good think Edward had wanted to leave early.
She place a hand on Damiennes shoulder, she wasnt very good with emotional humans. She had never been in a situation like this before so she couldnt really say she knew how Damienne felt. She heard Edward call and she ran to the car, at human speed, opening the boot and grabbing Carlisles medical bag. She knew things couldnt be looking good, she raced inside and left the bag at the bottom of the stairs... She saw Edward and she gritted her teeth as she saw the blood, now wasnt the time. She turned and headed outside, back to Damienne.
'He will be fine Damienne... Please trust us... In the mean time, I think theres something your hiding...' She looked to the broken door 'Did Tobias do this?' if the answer was yes then that meant Damienne was related to the wolves... That wasnt a good thing at all.

Carlisle saw Jason wince as he sat him up, more blood coming out. Gravity sucked sometimes. He heard the humour in Jason's tone, but was still concerned. 'A kid did this to him?' he thought, almost frantically, to himself. He rested a hand against Jason's sternum, trying to gauge what could be bothering his breathing so badly. “I think the last thing you need to worry about at the moment is Damienne, my friend,” he said, voice dripping with concern. “But if it makes you feel any better, my daughter is outside looking after her as we speak,” he added softly, trying to listen to Jason's breathing. It didn't sound right at all, not only was it staggered, but there was something else too. He didn't want to mention it just yet because he felt that more panic would make things worse. He understood Jason's concern of his daughter, but felt he should focus on himself, at least for this moment. He withdrew his hand, looking over Jason's various other injuries. He couldn't tell if they were worse than they looked or not.
He narrowed his eyes as he looked him over, considering Jason's words more than his injuries. 'Edward, are you hearing anything?' he questioned the boy in his head, knowing he would hear. Carlisle couldn't help, but have a sneaking suspicion as to what was going on, but he couldn't just straight come out with it like that. It might deter Jason from accepting his help. “I didn't realise you had any other children,” he said conversationally. He knew that Jason was in his forties at least, but some people didn't have a lot of children in their life time. He personally hadn't had any actual children in his life time and was now only blessed with them through chance. “But some kid...considering...” he then offered, nodding to Jason's injuries. He saw that Jason seemed to drop his head back, gasping for air and something about him just screamed 'dizzy'. “I think you might have a concussion...did you hit your head at all?” he questioned. “I'm going to have to ask you to stay awake where possible, just in case,” he then went on.
He hadn't been paying attention to much else than Jason's injuries when Edward returned with his case. “Thank you, Edward,” he said softly, looking up to his son from his spot on the floor, wondering if Edward had heard anything in the other man's mind that would shine any light on the situation. He turned back to Jason, snapping open his case, shaking his head slightly. “I'm going to have to get him to the hospital,” he commented in a low tone, chewing on the inside of his lip in thought. “I simply don't have enough with me that can help you right now,” he told Jason softly, figuring that he would eventually argue about the hospital trip. “It's the hospital or...well, you won't like the 'or',” he went on, his brow furrowed heavily, regretting having started that sentence in the first place, but he knew Jason was a 'no nonsense' sort of guy. “Have you called the police?” he questioned up to Edward. 'I'm sure Chief Swan would love this,' he thought to himself and, inadvertently, to Edward as well.

Carlisle did seem nice enough. He had been considerate enough to ask her if she was alright, even though he didn't really stick around for much longer than Alice's return and directions to where he needed to be. 'A doctor,' she told herself. 'He HAS to be a doctor,' she thought, panic setting in a little more now. Why did they need a doctor? She felt her jaw tighten as she ran over all of the scenarios that would end up with a doctor being at the house. 'He HAS to be something to do with Alice and Edward, otherwise, how would have he had gotten here so fast and in his own car as well? This HAD to be something to do with Tobias. He had been, hadn't he?' she thought angrily. The conflict was largely between her siblings and her father, but that was only because she couldn't understand why her siblings hated Forks so much. Until today, she hadn't been sure of the place, but Edward made things seem more interesting around here. It was just unfortunate things had gotten off to a bad start with him.
She lowered herself to sit down on the door step, back to the inside of the house, looking down at Edward's Volvo, trying to distract herself as she brought her knees up under her chin, resting it there, wrapping her arms around her legs and rocking slightly. She lifted her head as she heard Alice speak, explaining who Carlisle was. She nodded slowly as she listened. “Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry,” she replied softly back to the girl's last point about some things being more important than others. If Edward hadn't faked the call, if that was what he had done, they wouldn't have gotten her on time. That's what the situation seemed like. She didn't even understand what was completely going on. Her father was hurt. That seemed like a given now. She heard someone coming to the top of the stairs, only when he spoke to Alice did she realise it was Edward. He didn't sound the same. Maybe that was because she thought he was mad at her, so the silky tones didn't have the same resonance in her head anymore.
She just wanted to look at Edward and have him tell her everything was ok, but something told her that wouldn't be a wise move, considering how he had sounded before. She continued to rock where she sat, staring down at Edward's car. It was pretty impressive now that she took the time to actually sit there and look at it. It was one of those cars that you wouldn't imagine being particularly fast, but it was all hidden under the hood. Great. She was distracting herself with car shop talk. Well, that was better than trying to distract herself by thinking about Edward himself, considering she thought he was mad at her. She buried her head into her knees. She heard Alice move passed her and then someone running on the stairs. She hadn't liked the tone in Edward's voice one bit. She refocused on Alice as the other girl came back outside to take care of her. She nodded slowly as Alice began to talk “But I do I trust you,” she said softly. “You, Edward, Carlisle,” she listed off. “I can't help, but feel like I should trust you, so I do,” she added.
She looked to the door as Alice did, kind of guessing what the girl was going to ask, considering previous conversations and Alice's lead up to the question being related to hiding something. “Sometimes, some things are more secret than others,” she replied, using Alice's words from before, only needing to change one of the words she had used. She wanted to tell Alice just as much as she had wanted to tell Edward the full story about Tobias. She then heard Alice's final question and she nodded slowly before replying properly. “I'd wager so,” she replied, her voice breaking up again as she then continued to rock where she sat on the doorstep. “If not, it was Jamie, but my money is more on Tobias,” she continued. “He did try to call me earlier...” She trailed off, suddenly needing to take in one big sharp breath. “This is my fault,” she said, her voice in a steady, miserable monotone as tears before to slowly and silently fall down her face. “This is all my fault,” she repeated in the same tone.

Edward felt a growl escape his lips as the flurry of thoughts from everyone bombarded him. It was all too clear now. Tobias was a dog, Damienne and Jason knew about it too. However it didnt seem they knew about them... It was rather odd to know about one but not the other. As he entered the room he heard Carlisle's thought... He was hearing more than enough. He kneeled down beside Carlisle, he needed to help somehow though he wasnt sure how. Edward growled again as he heard his fathers question and thought. 'Charlie wont be any help here Carlisle...' He looked to his father'Tobias is from La Push' He was sure his father would take the hint, this was not Charlies fight, it hadnt been theirs either until he had met Damienne. He was angry with her, but more with himself, it wasnt her fault who she was related to. Now however he had dragged his family into it all.
He didn't like the idea of Jason going to the hospital. If he did there would be an investigation and thats the last thing they all needed if the dogs were involved. 'We have to make do for the moment Carlisle' He moved to Carlisle's bag, he needed to think of a plan to get his breathing stable. He wasnt half the doctor Carlisle was, but Edward was desperate, and with desperation came ideas. He listened to Jasons breathing, it was getting more laboured, they wouldnt have time to get him to the hospital at this rate. He ripped open Jasons shirt to get a better loot at his chest, he didnt like going against Carlisle but there was certainly no way he was going to get anyone else involved in this mess now he was involved.
He watched and listened to his chest.'Carlisle... His lung, I think its collapsed' Pressure... he needed to relieve the pressure in his chest. He rummaged through Carlisle's bag and found an IV needle. He passed it to Carlisle, he knew he would do a better job of using it to relieve the pressure than Edward. He was too wound up and worried to do anything as delicate as puncturing Jasons chest. He could hear Damiennes thoughts and words downstairs... He had no idea how this was all going to play out, but he knew Damiennes secret, it wouldnt be long before she found out his. He looked to Carlisle, first Alice now this? 'Carlisle there must be a way to sort this out here?' He didnt care what it meant, even if it meant him going to the hospital himself and getting things.

Jason was relieved to hear Damienne was okay, of course now he thought about it he knew he had recognised something in Edward. The flawless, white skin, the strange eye colour and the manner in which they spoke 'Edward... Is your son?' He should have seen it before. He seemed like a nice guy, just like his father. He had been impressed with Carlisle when he had met him that time, it looked like Damienne was in good company with Edward. He chuckled but had to stop himself, it just hurt too much 'Yeah... Just one or two more' He smirked through his pain, he had many children, though they rarely saw eye to eye.
He heard Carlisle ask him if he had hit his head, he couldnt really remember 'Possibly... Its a bit... of a blur...' He nodded his head slowly, he knew he couldnt give into his sleepiness. He looked up to Edward as he said Tobias was from La Push, Damienne rarely spoke about their past, though it seemed she trusted Edward enough to talk a little about their family. 'Please Dr Cullen... No Police...' He watched as Edward looked through Carlisle's bag, it seemed he had a very talented family.
He never dreamed Tobias would go this far so soon, he needed to protect Damienne, she deserved better that this. He felt sick knowing she was downstairs worried about him, he knew she would know Tobias was to blame for this. Their family was filled with drama, just something he wanted to avoid. 'Tobias... Doesnt like.... Our new Home...' He knew why, well sort of. He knew the tales of the vampires, but Jason didnt see them as a threat. He knew they were 'different' from the normal vampires. Not that Jason knew who they were. He was sure Tobias would. Perhaps moving Damienne further away from La Push was a better idea... Seattle maybe...

Alice shook her head slowly 'Theres no need to apologise Damienne...' She went to her side and wrapped her arms around her gently, she had seen humans do it so many times to calm each other. She could smell the blood but she ignored the burn in her throat, she wanted to make sure Damienne was safe. She owed Edward that after all the trouble she had been causing. Alice wasnt good at the whole human thing, she knew that but she was doing her best. She was greatful though the Edward had been impatient to get back, if not Alice dreaded what might have greeted them when they had come back. At least with Carlisle there Damiennes dad was in the best of care.
She smiled slightly as Damienne said she trusted them, though Alice knew part of that was their vampiric pheremones... Making humans see them not as a monster, but an item of facination. Then again Alice liked to think that it was because of who they were too. They were not bad people, they tried their best to be good. Even if sometimes things went a little wrong. She smirked a little as she used her own words against her, though she now knew that Damienne definatly knew that Tobias was more than just your average brother... She bit her lip a little, what did she do? If she asked more deeply about Tobias being a shapeshifter then she would ask questions to why she knew. She heard the conversation upstairs... So Edward had told Carlisle about Tobias, she looked to Damienne and sighed slightly. 'I know what you mean...' They were two sides of a raging war and Damienne didnt even know it, so it seemed.
Alice squeezed her gently 'Its not your fault Damienne... You didnt know this was going to happen...' Neither did Alice, that bothered her even more. She should have seen it, but she was getting nothing. She closed her eyes and tried to focus on Damienne and Edwards future... she got a flash of something, a car... she gasped slightly as another shot ran through her head. She gritted her teeth, why couldnt she see things properly? She felt a trickle down her nose and she turned away wiping the droplet of blood away. There was something odd about all of it, she could see Damienne, her father... But not her family and she didnt know why... 'Our main priority at the moment is keeping you guys safe...' She dreaded the thought of an entire family of shapeshifters coming to town... She hoped it wouldnt come to that though.

Carlisle continued to look Jason over. He nodded slowly when Jason asked if Edward was his son. “Foster son,” he offered for an explanation, figuring Jason as another one of those people who would be amazed that he had children. He smirked when Jason said he had 'just one or two more' children. He glanced over to Edward as the younger vampire crouched down beside him, obviously wanting to help. He focused on Edward as he spoke, realisation falling over him suddenly like a ton of bricks. 'Ah,' he thought shortly and simply, barely being able to stop himself verbally responding. That wouldn't have been encouraging for Jason at all. 'So when he said his son was strong, he really meant it,' he thought to himself, turning back to Jason now. This meant that police and the hospital were out of the question. Edward didn't have to tell him anymore. That was all he needed to know to realise that this would be more difficult to deal with than he originally thought. “Well, as a precaution, I think we should keep you awake,” he looked to Edward for assistance there.
He nodded slowly, letting out a slow breath as Edward said that they would have to make do. They really would have to make do. The hospital seemed out of the question as much as getting the police involved. His jaw tightened as he considered what he could possibly do without giving himself away. He side glanced Edward as he ripped open Jason's shirt to help analyse the situation. Edward was learning and trying to think outside the box. That was encouraging, though it did make Carlisle feel like he was missing something in this situation. A plan began to formulate inside Carlisle's head. “As you wish,” he offered to Jason's argument about 'no police'. He wasn't going to argue with that now. “I don't think I'd be able to talk to them if any of my children were involved in a situation like this,” he said carefully, trying to sound like a father. 'This WILL work,' he told himself, taking another intentional breath. If Jason was from La Push and knew about Tobias being a shape shifter, as was hinted to before, then there was the chance that he knew about the vampires in Forks. He understood now why Tobias wouldn't be happy about their choice of relocation.
He glanced to Edward again as he explained what he thought was going on. “Pneumothorax,” he mumbled, more to himself than to anyone else in the room. Air was causing his lung to collapse. That was what he could hear. He took the needle from Edward's hand, shifting forward onto his knees now, steadying himself. “Now, Jason, you may feel a little more discomfort,” he explained, brandishing the needle out of Jason's line of sight. “But this should help you breath a little better,” he went on. He turned to Edward with a slight smile when he insisted there had to be a way to sort it out where they were. “You're absolutely right,” he offered, turning back to Jason. 'Things will be alright, Edward,' he thought. He let out another breath, leaning forward to press his hand against Jason's chest. “On the count of three,” he began, focusing on Jason's face, needle positioned as such that it would go straight into his side. “One, two...” As he said two, he broke the skin with the needle, leaving some out to allow the air to be released. He had used the same 'count of three' method with the other guy with the bolt. It seemed to distract them.
He listened to Jason as his breathing seemed a little better. He continued to listen as Jason tried to explain the situation as to why Tobias would do this. “Ummm...I think I noticed that,” he commented, trying to make light of the situation when Jason had explained that Tobias didn't like their new home. He understood why a shape shifter wouldn't be happy with Forks as a relocation for a human father and sibling. “I assume you had a reason to move to Forks and not further away...” he offered, trying to keep the conversation going, hopefully allowing Edward more information. Maybe it was something to do with Damienne, not wanting to keep her away from the place she knew. It seemed slightly unfair to do this, but there was something amiss and if Carlisle needed to relocate the Cullens, he needed to know sooner rather than later. “Do you have anyone else we could call? I don't think Damienne should be left to look after you alone,” he offered. “Because I think work may be out of the question for you, right now, and she does have school,” he went on. The last part was sort of an assumption, considering how Edward knew the girl.

Damienne tightened her jaw for a moment when Alice said there was no need to apologise. “There is,” she began, looking up at the other girl. “I'm getting angry at you and Edward and there's no need for it,” she went on, looking down again. She froze slightly as Alice wrapped her arms around her. She hadn't been expecting that. She didn't really know the girl. Oh, well. At least they were making fast friends. She tried the best she could to return the hug, if not feeling a little awkward about it. “Thank you,” she whispered as she let her go. 'I'll have to thank Edward too,' she told herself. She looked over her shoulder and up the stairs. There was no one there anymore. She slowly looked down the stairs and then turned back to Alice. “Carlisle's good at this, right?” she questioned, trying to make light of the situation. She hadn't really found herself trusting doctors, but Carlisle seemed different. Like her unexplainable need to trust Edward and Alice, she trust Carlisle and he'd only said a few words to her.
Damienne had this great urge to just tell Alice what the hell was going on with Tobias, but she didn't know if she could. She trusted the girl, but she thought that this would just make things more confusing. The urge to tell her was getting more and more unbearable. 'I wish I could tell you,' she thought to herself. She felt Alice squeeze her and she was about to burst when Alice spoke again. She scowled heavily. “But it is, Alice,” she offered, reaching up with both hands to wipe her cheeks dry. “I didn't want to move far away,” she explained. “I didn't want to be away from my mom,” she added, lowering her head, thinking of the spot in the forest where her mother's ashes had been scattered and the little wooden marker now remained. She had never known why they chose that spot, but it at least gave her somewhere to go to from time to time. She sighed as she listened to Alice speak again. She nodded slowly. “Thank you,” she said, barely able to hear herself as her voice broke. “I should call Dorian,” she mumbled.

Jason was relieved when Carlisle agreed to not get the police involved. Not that they knew the full reason to why he didnt want them involved. He smirked slightly 'Will do my best... Doc' he winked lightly, even through the pain he was trying so hard to be light hearted. He braced himself as he heard Carlisle tell him he would feel some discomfort, he stopped himself chuckling, the exact words he said to gary when he removed that bolt... How Ironic. He felt the sting as the needle pierced his skin, he flinched slightly, but then he felt as if his chest was having a huge weight being lifted off it. He took in a deep breath, he still felt like he wasnt getting enough air, but he no longer felt like he was being crushed and he didnt feel so short of breath.
Jason nodded slowly at Carlisles question 'Yeah, Damienne...' He sighed slightly, he had wanted to take her further away, but Damienne refused to move further away from where her mothers ashes were. 'Her mothers ashes are on the border to La Push, she wanted to stay close to them.' Jason would do anything to keep Damienne happy. He thought about Carlisle's question 'Possibly... my son Dorian' He didnt want to call on his family though, he didnt want to tear the family apart, it wasnt worth it.

Edward nodded slowly to Carlisle as he heard his thoughts, Tobias was certainyl strong enough to kill Jason on the spot, he had a feeling that wasnt his intention. This was his warning to them... Edward felt a growl leave his lips... He didnt know why but he knew he had to protect them, he had to keep Damienne safe from all this. He felt like running down there and whisking her away, far away where Tobias could never find her. He moved to Jasons side, he knew he had to keep him talking, keep him awake. 'Damienne's fine Mr Renton... Shes just worried about you...' He knew what it was like to feel useless whilst a family member suffered. He smirked a little 'Shes a good kid, she really cares about you.' If he just kept him talking then not only would he stay awake, he might give him some more clues to their situation.
Edward had faith in Carlisle to help Jason through this without resorting to hospital aid. Carlisle had seen it all when it came to human ailments and Carlisle had his vampire senses to help him if he really needed them. At least now Carlisle knew exactly how delicate this situation was. They could never be too careful when shapeshifters were involved... Edward didnt know how much Jason knew about them, if anything at all. He hadnt reacted badly when he had turned up to pick her up, then again he could not be aware of them or the treaty... Or simply that he didnt know Edward was a vampire. He had no hints from Damienne that she knew anything abour Vampires at all, but then again her thoughts seemed to hide a lot from him still.
Edward was relieved that Carlisle has seen that taking him to the hospital and calling the police was a bad idea. They really didnt need police poking around this scene... Humans and dogs didnt mix, especially when they were angry. He was hoping Carlisle's thoughts were right... Carlisle had been saying everything would be alright a lot lately, although he trusted Carlisle there was some doubt after the whole Alice thing... He wanted to believe that Jason was going to be okay though. He watched Jason as Carlisle inserted the needle and he heard the hiss as the air drained from his chest cavity. He could hear Jasons breathing become less laboured. He was relieved that at least he wouldnt suffocate now.
Edward listened to Jason as he talked, he really did love her. He was putting his life in danger for her. Then again he could understand why Damienne wanted to hold onto her past. Things like that were important for a human. He looked up to Carlisle then to Jason, it was obvious he loved his family, not wanting to create a rift between them all, at least they got on with some of them. 'I will help... where I can' He meant it too, he wanted to protect Damienne, and her father meant a lot to her so he would protect him to. No Fluffy dog was going to get anywhere near Damienne whilst he was around.

Carlisle smiled encouragingly at Jason. “Well, at least you've managed to do it so far,” he commented. “I'm sure a lot of people would have caved by now,” he added, trying to sound enthusiastic. He smiled slightly as Edward moved over to them, talking to Jason, trying to keep him awake. 'Thank you,' he thought to his son, knowing that the boy's words would be helping Jason. 'Good kid? Nice choice of words there,' Carlisle thought, smirking slightly to himself. He knew what Edward was up to, alongside his attempt to keep Jason awake. Carlisle wasn't the only one trying to get Jason to open up. He felt Jason wince as the needle pierced his skin, but he smirked at his work. “Better?” he inquired, watching Jason take a deep breath. He nodded slowly as Jason explained the short move. Humans had some strange customs and, even now, after many years of dealing with them, Carlisle would never be able to fully understand them. “The things we do for our children, eh?” he replied, smiling softly over at Edward now. He had gone through a lot with Edward, but they remained as a family, gathering a few more over time.
“You might not have to ask him to come here,” he offered, feeling as if Jason possibly didn't want more of his family involved. “It just might be wise to have at least one of them aware of the situation, just in case you need something,” he explained. “Something that Damienne can't deal with,” he added. He let out a shallow breath. “Though, I would like to think that she would have no problem talking to Edward about it, if she struggled,” he went on with a soft smile, having a feeling that Jason would have a lot of faith in his daughter. “Where is Dorian in the family unit?” he questioned, wondering how old and mature he should expect Dorian to be. Something about Edward made him seemed irritated about something. Clearly, there was something he couldn't quite get and it was annoying him. He had gone through enough of that lately and this seemed completely unrelated, so Carlisle could see why it would be aggravating. He smiled over at Edward as he offered to help. “I'm sure Damienne...and Jason would appreciate that,” he offered, turning to Jason with a knowing smile.

Alice smiled gently 'Honestly... Its okay, Edward wont hold it against you... Hes a stubborn git sometimes, but hes not an idiot.' She smirked slightly, she could see why Edward was drawn to her, though of course the whole shapeshifter thing was going to cause problems for them... Alice only hoped Edward wouldnt get cold feet over it all. 'Your welcome... See I told you we would be good friends' she giggled lightly before becoming more serious 'Damienne, Carlisle is the best doctor I know and I'm not just saying that because hes my father.' She knew Damienne might expect her to boast, but Carlisle really was good at what he did. After all he had hundreds of years experience... Not of course that Damienne knew that.
Alice noticed there was something on Damiennes mind, though of course unlike Edward she couldnt read her thoughts. 'We cant chose who or what our family are Damienne.' She bit her lip slightly, she had slipped up a little 'I mean look at me, Edwards not the easiest brother in the world...' She smiled warmly, hoping it might make her feel a little better. She sighed slightly, she wanted to stay close to her past, Alice had no past that she could remember 'I think your father understands that Damienne...' She watched Damienne closely, she was feeling close to Damienne, it felt almost impossible to not like her. 'Dorian?' She questioned, she guessed it was one of her brothers...

Damienne laughed briefly as Alice explained that Edward wouldn't hold it against her. That did make her feel about the situation. “He does seem a little stubborn,” she admitted. She could see how that was helpful in this situation though. She hadn't even seen her father, but the panic was still there. “He seems nice as well though,” she admitted, sounding a little breathless at the end of her words. She wasn't sure if that was panic or something else. She smiled at Alice as she replied to her thank you. She laughed lightly again. “That you did,” she replied lightly, still smiling. She seemed to have a knack for this cheering people up thing. “I just hope this doesn't make things start badly,” she commented, considering what could happen if Edward, Alice or Carlisle took this badly. She nodded slowly as she listened to Alice, a soft smile on her face, as the other girl told her about Carlisle. “He seems capable enough,” she offered, turning to look up the stairs for a moment again. There didn't sound to be a lot of panic coming from upstairs. That or they were hiding it well.
She burst out a laugh when Alice said they couldn't chose family. “You're not wrong, but at least your family isn't furry,” she replied before she knew what she was saying. She withdrew a sharp breath, pulling a face that just read 'oh, crap'. 'Oh, god, I didn't just say that,' she thought frantically to herself. “Edward seems like he'd be a challenge,” she commented with a smirk. He was a challenge she would happily accept. Her smile quickly left her face. Not only had she outburst about the 'furry' thing, but she had told Alice, and partially Edward, about her mother. She was just spilling more and more at Alice and, despite her internal conflict, she felt better for not lying to them about it. She nodded slowly. “I figured he did, otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen Forks,” she replied, scowling. “I just hope he doesn't regret it...” she ended. She let out a sigh. “Dorian's my oldest brother. He's lives in Seattle, but I think he'd like to know that Tobias is trying to take charge again,” she explained.
