Alice watched Edwards face with interest, she was interested to know what he had heard in her thoughts to cause such a reaction... She tilted her head a fraction looking to him seeing if he would shed any light for her on the situation. Sometimes Alice wished she could read minds too. At least she could understand then what was going on. She was guessing it was something to do with her brother Tobi, perhaps there was something bothering Damienne about him. Alice shook her head slightly hearing Edward mess up again, his concentration certainly wasnt there today. She was guessing it was being around Damienne, Alice was taking very shallow breaths to avoid smelling her. She didnt really want to be tempted by the human that was going to make Edward happy.
She smiled and shook her head as Damienne offered her Burger back. 'No its okay... As Edward said I've already eaten, I shouldnt be greedy, you need it more than me.' She knew Edward wouldnt be too happy if she took the burger back, though its smell had been a welcome distraction to the smell of the humans surrounding them. She understood more now how hard things were for poor Jazy, she felt guilty for leaving him home alone whilst she went out. Especially after what had happened the day before. She shuddered slightly at the thought.
Alice looked to Damienne and smiled thinking of polite conversation 'So what brought you to Forks?' She doubted much work would get done, and Alice was curious about this girl. There were blanks in her mind, she couldnt see right and it bothered her greatly, perhaps using the 'normal' way would help fill in some gaps.

Edward listened to what she had to say about her brother, though it seemed she wasnt going to let anything else out and he wasnt going to push his luck and slip up again. It was frustrating to say the least, he looked to Alice and moved his head up to look out the window then down to the table, very slight movement but she would know that was a nod from him. He was sure he would be able to talk to her properly later, he wasnt really liking the sound of it though. It was also something he would talk to Carlisle about, perhaps he might know the Renton family, seeing as it was such a large family.
He smirked a little, knowing at least she didnt put his slip up to anything but good hearing. He shook his head slightly as she asked Alice if she wanted the burger, he still couldnt believe she had ordered the thing in he first place. 'Its not...' He smirked and pulled out his books 'But you need to finish your food first.' Perhaps he would be able to learn more from her if he kept the atmosphere social. Plus he didnt want her starving or anything. Humans were so frail and fragile...
'So where did you move in from?' He wondered how much of a threat this Tobi was, if he was far away he wouldnt have to worry. He was getting more and more curious about this humans life, she facinated him and he couldnt place why exactly. He felt drawn to her in a way he had never felt before. His eyes rested on her, trying to read her, trying to gather what it was that made her so interesting to him.

Damienne watched Alice closely as the other girl responded. “As long you're sure...” she responded, still not quite believing Edward's actions that left Alice food-less. She picked at the food in more of a daze than anything else. Butterflies battered the inside of her stomach and she couldn't be sure if she could keep the food down if she tried to eat it. She picked up her soda, taking a long drink before placing the nearly empty glass back down on the table, tearing off a piece of the food and popping it in her mouth. She chewed slowly, looking around the small café, various conversations buzzing around them still. She returned her gaze to Alice as she heard the girl speak. She politely covered her mouth as she finished chewing and swallowed. “My dad thought the change of scenery would do me good,” she replied to the question Alice had posed. “Well, do us both good,” she went on. She tore off the next piece of food pre-emptively as she considered how continued to her question.
“He got offered a great job at the garage and, well, he just thought a new home would help us both move on from a lot of difficult stuff,” she finished, popping the piece of food in her mouth, chewing it and swallowing it down quickly. She didn't want to risk having her mouth full when it came to her time to speak again. She didn't want to embarrass herself in any way, but something told her that she wasn't going to be out of that hazard zone until she was home alone. She turned her attention to Edward when she became very aware of how much attention he was paying to her when she had spoken about her brother. “Tobi didn't want us to move to Forks, me especially,” she went on, trying to shed some light on the situation. “He wouldn't explain why though, but he did get pretty bitchy about,” she continued, a confused smile gracing her features. “My dad seems to know why, but he says it's nothing I need to worry about,” she finished with a soft smile. She would have to quiz him again about it, once everything died down again.
She laughed nervously at the smirk on Edward's face after the exchange about her being hungry. “Oh,” she mumbled, slightly disappointed, eating more of her food, chewing on it as she pulled out a notebook and pen. She figured his books would be more useful than hers. She ate another mouthful of food as Edward questioned where she came from. She repeated her actions from before when Alice had spoken to her, politely covering her mouth and she finished chewing and then swallowed in order to answer. “La Push,” she responded simply. “The old house stopped feeling like 'home' when...” she stopped herself, scowling slightly. “...when my mom died,” she finished in a low tone, looking down at the table. “Even more so when my dad's second wife divorced him last year,” she continued. “Hence the move,” she said, slightly brighter as she lifted her head to look at Edward again. Look at his face made her feel a lot better. She didn't know why she was telling him all this. She'd known him not even a full day and she was spilling her crazy on him.
She considered her last words, thinking how she wouldn't have met Edward if they hadn't have moved, so that oddly made her feel better about all the bad things that had happened to her. She mentally shook herself, looking down at her food again, feeling her stomach sort of clench. She had eaten the better part of it, which was more than she'd probably eat when she was out with people. She tended to disregard food, wanting to talk more, so considering how much she had eaten, she was doing well. “I think I'm done with that,” she commented, looking around. She could go for another soda though. She considered this as she drained the last of her soda from her glass. 'Where did the waitress go? She couldn't pull herself away before...' she thought slightly irritated to herself. She imagined Edward would get her attention in an instance, even if they couldn't see them. “You guys want anything?” she questioned, considering getting up and going to ask for her soda because it might come quicker.

Edward listened as Damienne spoke to Alice about why they moved, his eyes watched her closely, there was something in her past... There was something that was odd about her, but he didnt know what it was yet. Though when she answered his question he had to stop himself from growling, his eyes darted over to Alice, La Push... Fuzzy... Not wanting to move to Forks, Edward seriously hoped he was wrong about what he was thinking. Though if she was here and talking to him he doubted she knew everything... Of course he could be reading into it totally wrong... He was keen to find out sooner than later... He reached slowly into his pocket and being as discreet as he could sent a text over to Alice's phone. He needed to get away and talk to Carlisle and he needed an excuse to end their little date early. He was hoping he was just being paranoid.
It certainly sounded like Damienne had a lot of pain in her past, 'Sorry... It must be hard to think about...' It was hard to think that humans lives were filled so full of pain and sorrow when you lived for an eternity. Most of his human memories had faded, though of course he knew his story, Carlisle remembered all of it. Human memories were so fragile, so easily lost as a Vampire. Though they hadnt moved far, and if Tobi was what Edward was thinking he was sure that Damiennes dad would know about the treaty, then again if that was the case how come he hadnt stopped them? It didnt make any sense to him at all. He was getting frustrated, he wanted answers but he wasnt going to get any out of Damienne it seemed.
He looked to Alice as Damienne finished her drink and gave her a kick under the table, his eyes looking from the glass of soda to Damienne. He knew Alice wasnt going to drink it, he had already slipped up once and he wasnt going to do it again. He knew Alice would take the hint, at least he hoped she would. He shook his head as she asked if he wanted anything. He did want something, answers but he couldnt get them from the Cafe. His fingers hovered near his pocket, waiting, waiting for the oppertunity he needed to get out of this situation, to get to Carlisle and find answers.
As soon as his phone started ringing he reached in his pocket and flipped it open. 'Father?' He paused, of course he knew it wasnt Carlisle, but he needed to act as best he could. He frowned as he pretended to listen on the phone, look worried he thought to himself, he let his gaze rise to Alice as he counted in his head, enough time for Carlisle to have said something to him. 'Of Course... Alice and I will come straight back... I just need to drop Damienne back first...' He looked quickly over to Damienne before flipping the phone shut. 'I'm sorry looks like we are going to have to cut our study date short...' He stood and headed to the counter to pay for their 'food'. He had so many questions buzzing around in his head, he needed the answers...

Alice smiled and nodded 'Of course I am' she didnt want her to starve after all, Edward would never forgive her for that. She listened to what Damienne had to say about her past, she looked to Edward curiously, it was obvious that he had picked up something that she had not. She wanted to know what was going on... This certainly wasnt how she had imagined the evening going... She saw a flicker across Edwards face as she mentioned La Push and she stiffled a cry as pain shot through her head... Not again... she shook it off, there was no vision.... Nothing different, but she was suddenly broken from that thought by her phone buzzing... It was probably Jazzy checking up on her to see if she was okay. She reached into her pocket and raised an eyebrow when she saw a text from Edward. 'Ring me in 5'.... She looked up to Edward but his attention was back on Damienne... She slipped her phone onto her lap so she could do as he asked... She was even more curious to what was going on now...
She looked to Edward as he kicked her and looked to Damienne and her glass, right, okay... 'Here have the rest of mine...' She smiled pushing the full glass towards Damienne... She looked like she needed it and Alice certainly didnt. She was saddened by Damiennes past, it was strange how human history was filled with such sorrow, she couldnt even remember hers though. She often wondered about it though, and she wondered why she couldnt remember. Then again she wondered deep down if she really wanted to know...
After waiting a bit Alice reached down and dialed Edwards number discreetly, watching as he answered and pretended to talk to Carlisle... Edward really must have seen something to want to get out of there so fast, Alice was dying to know as well, her eyes looked curiously over to Damienne, poor girl was even more clueless than she was. She watched Edward make his apologise and stand to pay the bill, Alice sighed slightly 'Family drama again no doubt' She offered her an apologetic look, she might as well keep up the act as best she could.

Damienne watched Edward closely as he watched her, not wanting to miss a moment. He seemed very focused on her words and finding out more about her. It was kind of cute. She smirked to herself. She looked away when neither he or Alice spoke, feeling a little on edge. Had she bothered them with her responses? She couldn't help them. She'd just wanted to be honest. She felt like she had to be with Edward. She would have to spend most of her time at school with him and blatantly lying to him would not help them get along. He seemed a little on edge, but that might have been Damienne getting a little paranoid. She had started to think she had offended them or something. How, she wasn't sure, but it was one of those weird paranoia things she got from time to time. Edward would definitely be someone to keep her on edge, not wanting to upset him or make a fool out of herself in front of him. She felt that would come with some dire consequences in the future if she started out their friendship in a bad way.
She shrugged at Edward's words, never having thought about it that much when she had started to speak about it. It seemed sweet that Edward seemed concerned about her feelings about what she was saying. “Yeah, I guess,” she began in a low tone. “It feels like my mom was such a long time ago...then again, I was only young,” she went on, looking to Edward again. She shifted slightly as he seemed to fall quiet about the Tobi thing, even though he had seemed eager to find out about her before. “You'd have to talk to my dad about it. He might be more willing to tell you rather than telling me,” she continued, adding to the Tobi and the move topic. “He seems to be opening up to people more around here, he's more at ease,” she began. “And you saw how he was at the house...” she went on with a smirk. “I think he likes you. I think he also likes the fact that someone's talking to me finally,” she added, sounding a little irritated about the behaviour of most of the other people in Forks.
Damienne continued to look around as she put her empty glass down on the table. Where was that waitress? She relaxed back down into her chair. Maybe she should focus on the work, not the fact that her mouth felt kind of dry through her nerves that were piling up inside of her still. She nodded in thanks to Alice when the girl offered her the full glass, pulling it towards herself. She smiled pleasantly at Edward when he shook his head in response to her question regarding whether he wanted anything. She turned to Alice, awaiting the other girl's response. Her attention was drawn back to Edward when she heard his phone ringing in his pocket. She only knew it was his because he reached into his pocket quickly and flipped it open, looking considered. It was his dad on the line and that look didn't bode well. She chewed nervously on the inside of her lip. She looked away and grimaced as she heard him saying that he and Alice would go home, they just needed to drop her off. Disappointment filled the space the nerves had. 'Great, they have to go now?' she thought to herself.
She sighed, straightening her expression before she looked back to Edward, having heard the boy hang up his phone. She shrugged, swallowing. “It can't be helped,” she said, trying to sound pleasantly still. She couldn't help, but feel totally disappointed though. She did, however, feel the butterflies return at his apology. 'Cut our study date short?' she repeated in her head. There was something in the way Edward said 'date' that made a shiver run down her spine, even though it was coupled with the word 'study'. She sighed as she watched him walk over to the counter to pay. She didn't even think he'd let her argue about paying for her own. She looked to Alice as she spoke. She shrugged at her words. “I know how that is,” she replied in a low mumble, smiling softly, still feeling heavily disappointed. “And we didn't even get started,” she said, trying to sound cheerful still as Edward came back to the table, nodding towards his books. She gulped down the drink Alice had offered to her before packing her notebook back into her bag and standing up, ready to leave.

Edward wasnt going to take no for an answer with Damienne, not at the moment, he was glad when she didnt kick up a fuss, but a smirk played his lips as he heard her disappointed thought... As troubled as he was about her it was nice to see how she felt, even though there was this sudden uncertainty... 'There will be plenty of time for that...' He smirked to her, he couldnt help but like her... But her thoughts bought him cause to worry, if what he was suspecting was right then he wasnt only putting his family in danger, but Damienne as well. He was hoping he was terribly wrong, only time would tell however. He picked up his books and shoved them into his bag as he made his way out to the car, opening the door for Alice and Damienne before getting in himself. He somehow knew there was going to be more trouble down the line, why wasnt life ever simple?
He started driving, his usual fast pace, he felt impatient, he wanted answers and he wanted them now. His eyes were focused straight ahead, his thoughts troubled. He didnt realise the night would be so... troublesome. It really didnt take long to get back to Damiennes home, but there was yet more trouble ahead. As they reached the drive he stopped the car and his eyes narrowed as the filthy smell of dog reached his nose, he glanced back to Alice in the rear view mirror, he was very sure that what he suspected was true now... He looked to Damienne 'Stay here...' He looked to Alice You too...' He wasnt going to take no for an answer as he stepped out of the car. He felt a growl press through his lips as he made his way up the drive, there had been a dog there for sure.
As he reached the door he saw it had been broken into, he pushed open slightly and was greeted by the smell of blood... He took a breath then held it... calling out first 'Mr Renton?' The dog wasnt there, he could tell, he moved quickly looking for Damiennes father, he ran upstairs, pushing the door to his room open. There he saw him slumped over the bed, he was bleeding heavily, moving quickly over to him and kneeling down 'Mr Renton... Can you hear me? Its Edward...' He flipped open his phone and quickly sent a text to Alice before he dialed Carlisle's number. Edward knew some things about human medicine but he knew Carlisle was the man for this job, and he needed answers too.

Jason had managed to crawl up the stairs to his room, he knew it was bad... Broken ribs most probably, his arm too perhaps, he could feel the blood trickling from his mouth, taste it too. God he didnt Damienne to see him like this, he should have expected it though. No matter how much he tired to protect her he always failed. He tried reaching for the phone but couldnt find the strength, he was bleeding heavily from his chest, and he was having trouble breathing. He wondered how far Tobi would go to get Damienne back, he hadnt been expecting this so soon. He closed his eyes and breathed out slowly, every move was so painful and he felt so tired...
Next thing he knew he could hear a voice... It was Edward... That meant Damienne was back... 'Edward... Damienne?' Is she okay?' He needed to know she was okay, he heard Edward starting to talk on the phone, he tried sitting up but it just hurt too much. He was frightened that Tobias might come back and then there would be trouble, he didnt want him anywhere near Damienne 'Its too dangerous Edward... Get out take Damienne...' He just wanted to protect her....

Carlisle pulled up at home, leaving the car on the road because he was going to return to the hospital later for a few more papers and perhaps some more blood for Alice. Picking up his case, he left the car, slamming the door and locking it with his key fob. He made his way up into the house. “Hello?” he called, concerned by the silence. There was only one person he could here. That couldn't be right. That was when Jasper had walked into the upstairs hallway, the most irritated look on his face. “Jasper?” he questioned, confused. “Where's Alice?” he went on, dropping his case by the door before shrugging off his coat. 'She went out with Edward,' he explained, his Southern drawl tainted with the sound of irritation, concern and pure boredom as well. “Where did they go?” he continued to question. 'Alice shouldn't be out,' he told himself with a scowl. Though if she was with Edward, she would probably be safe. He would have taken her for a reason. He looked up at Jasper, who crossed his arms over his chest.
'How the hell should I know?' he replied irritably. 'No one tells me anything around here,' he said, resent tainting his tone now as he gave Carlisle a significant look. “Jasper, don't you think we've tried to apologise enough for that?” he replied in question. That's all he seemed capable of. “You know how you get. We know how you get...” he offered, to a slightly complacent look from the Texan vampire. 'You're right,' he began, sighing, before adding in a mumble, '...as always.' His expression fell neutral now, making Carlisle feel a little more settled. Yesterday had taken is toll on Jasper the most. Maybe it was better that it was Jasper at home, though home alone didn't seem right. 'But like I said, I don't know where they've gone,' he offered with an apologetic look before disappearing back into his room. Carlisle watched the top of the stairs where Jasper had been stood, wondering where on Earth Edward would have take Alice that was so important. Emmett and Rosalie had mentioned something about a day trip out and by the sounds of things, Esme had gone as well.
He sighed, concerned about Jasper, but just as he heard his phone ring with the familiar sound of Things That I've Done by The Killers. That could only mean that Edward was calling him. He dug into his pocket, pulling out his phone and answering the call. “Edward?” he greeted, knowing it didn't really sound like a greeting, but he couldn't work out why the young vampire was calling him, unless... “Is Alice alright?” he questioned, reaching for his coat and hoping beyond hope that Jasper hadn't heard his question. He pulled on his coat, while listening to any form of response from Edward, which he didn't seem to be getting. “Edward, are you there? Where are you?” he asked. “Do you need my help?” he questioned, looking to the top of the stairs, noting how Jasper was thankfully still in his room. He walked out of the door and down to his car. “Edward, where are you?” he questioned again, quite sternly this time, trying to stop the panic that was threatening to set in. Jasper would know instantly if something was wrong if he was panicked.

Damienne smiled politely at Edward as he seemed to smirk at her. She didn't know how to take his expression, so she was just going to smile it off. 'Dammit,' she mentally cursed to herself, being drawn in by his smile...well, not just his smile. Everything about him drew her in and she felt the butterflies in her stomach again. She laughed lightly at his comment. She reached up and nervously began playing with the chain that was hanging around her neck. “So certain?” she questioned playfully, a broad smile forming across her face. She, of course, felt herself knowing that she would give Edward all the time that he wanted from her. That was if he wanted any more time and didn't keep getting called away or whatever. She was surprised he'd wanted to be around her for this long. Maybe it was for the benefit of making friends with her, considering he'd have to spend most of his school time with her. She mentally shook herself. 'There you go again, beating yourself up about this whole thing...just because a really nice guy started talking to you...' she thought angrily to herself.
She watched Edward as he packed up his books and lead herself and Alice out to the car, opening their doors for them both. She smirked to herself as Edward moved around the car to get into the driver's seat. 'So polite,' she silently said to herself. She smiled softly at Edward before allowing him to focus on the drive. He looked slightly irritated as he drove, the combination of his irritated look and the speed bothering her for a moment. She didn't think to question him. If it was the 'family drama' that Alice had previously mentioned, it wouldn't be right or fair for Damienne to question it. She had only known him since this morning, although, she was more than happy to spill everything about herself to him if he wanted to know it. When he pulled up outside her house, she began fiddling with the belt release, only to have Edward look at her and tell her to stay there. She scowled slightly. “Something wrong?” she questioned a little too late as he had gotten out of the car already.
“Does he always do that?” she questioned Alice in slight awe, as she watched him making his way up the drive alone. That was when she saw the front door was already open. That couldn't be right. “Dad,” she whispered to herself in a slight panic. 'Screw Edward and his damn dazzling good looks and persistent silky voice.' She continued to fumble with the belt release her hands shaking. She could half hear Alice's protests from the back, though she was more focused on getting out of the Volvo and up into the house. She looked up to see Edward just disappearing up the stairs. She finally got herself free, jumping out of the car quickly, only to be grabbed by Alice. She struggled against the other girl for a moment. “Let me go, Alice,” she said in a strained voice, showing her panic. As she said that, she broke free from Alice, rushing up the driveway to the house. She saw blood high up on the front door as she reached it, forming part of a hand print on the wood. “Dad?” she called first, trying to keep calm. “Edward?” she called, her resolve failing as she stood there.

Edward looked to Jason as Carlisle answered, he didnt want Jason to move so he moved over and applied a little pressure on him to stop him trying to get up. Though trying not to hurt him any further... He knew Carlisle was waiting for a reply but he needed to make sure Jason stayed still. 'Damienne is fine... Please try not to move...' He took another breath, the smell of blood was strong, it was a good thing Alice wasnt up here thats for sure... When he was happy Jason was going to stay still he turned his attention to Carlisle 'Alice is fine... but I need you to get over here right now...' He could tell Jason was getting weaker... He needed Carlisles medical advice. 'I'm at the Renton house...' He gave the address to Carlisle 'Its her father... hes hurt really bad, and theres...' He trailed off and turned away from Jason and spoke fast so only Carlisle could hear 'A dogs been here...'
He cursed as he heard Damienne calling, damn Alice! 'Damienne stay down there!' He growled slightly, why couldnt girls do as they were told, he turned his attention back to Carlisle 'Get here now!' He hung up and ripped some cloth from the bed, trying to bandage Jason up as best he could. He couldnt let Damienne see her dad like this...

Carlisle waited patiently as he could for Edward's reply, standing by his car, one hand leaning on the car, keys in hand, the other holding the phone to his ear. He didn't have to strain to hear Edward talking, even though he could tell that he wasn't talking to him. He could hear the younger vampire in the background, clearly having instigated the call for whatever reason, but then talking to someone else, mentioning a 'Damienne' and asking whoever it was 'not to move'. That didn't bode well. At least, not to Carlisle and considering the recent events that had affected them all, especially Alice. If Alice was with him, what the hell was going on? “Just tell me where...” he began in an authoritative tone as Edward finally replied. 'What on Earth...?' he thought to himself as Edward replied, telling him that Alice was ok, but he needed him there. “Well, where...?” he began, being cut off again by Edward continuing to speak. “Who's father? The Renton house?” he questioned, recognising the name.
“Oh, you mean Jason?” he questioned. He had met Jason Renton earlier that month, Jason having come in with another member of staff from the garage, the other guy having a problem involving a bolt and his hand. 'Hazard of the trade,' Jason had joked as Carlisle had worked with the other guy to get the bolt out. Jason was just there as moral support and the fact was, the other guy wasn't going to be allowed to drive for a little while. “I'm on my way,” he said, in the instance that Edward had said there had been a 'dog' there, lowering his hand with the keys and opening his driver's side door and dropping into his seat. He knew where the Renton house was. Carlisle had commented on not having seen Jason before, which lead up to Jason saying he had moved into a house in the woods, not far from the Cullens'. Well, in terms of 'not far away' for a vampire that was. He heard someone calling 'dad' and then Edward's name, to have Edward shouting back at them and then growling. He ended the call just as Edward snapped at him.
He started the car, pulling away quickly. He could have gotten there quicker if he ran, but that would just look unusual. He focused on the road ahead, telling himself that Alice was ok, it was someone else who was in trouble. This didn't really settle his worry that much, just that Alice wasn't hurt. He couldn't deal with that if she was, not now, considering the last few days. He ran over the various scenarios in his head as he sped to the Renton's. He quickly found the house, pulling up behind Edward's Volvo, seeing Alice stood nearby. “Alice,” he said, a sound of relief in his voice for a moment. “Where's Edward?” he questioned quickly, looking up at the house, noting the strong smell already. He saw a slim figure coming back out of the house, looking so confused. That must have been Damienne. He glanced to Alice again. “What's going on?” he questioned before his gaze snapped up to the house again. He rushed up the driveway, catching the girl's elbow. “Are you alright?” he questioned softly, listening for Edward.

Alice didnt know what the hell was going on, but she was going to go along with it. There was something on Edwards mind and she really wished she knew what it was. She could tell he was distracted as he drove, but then again Edward was always distracted about something or other. As they pulled up to the drive she straightened immeditely... She looked to Edward, of course he had smelt it too, what the hell was a dog doing here of all places. Perhaps this was what was on Edwards mind. She nodded as Edward told them to stay put, though she wasnt keen on letting him go in alone... But he would want to make sure Damienne was safe. 'Oh yeah, thats Edward all over' She chuckled, though she knew there was little to chuckle about, Alice knew there was something seriously wrong.
She saw the open door and heard Damiennes words and knew exactly what was on her mind. 'Damienne Edward said to stay here...' She bit her lip a little, she didnt want to have to hurt her or use any force... After all she didnt want to give anything of her non human state away. She grabbed onto Damienne as she got out of the car 'Damienne... please...' She pleaded, to no avail... Damienne wriggled from her grip and Alice gave chase into the house. As she entered the house she gasped as the smell of human blood filled her senses, she leaned against the door frame and gritted her teeth, she couldnt be in there...
She heard Edward shout down and she turned and left, fighting the smell, it was too tempting... She heard the sound of a car approaching... Carlisle's car... She watched as he pulled up and spoke to her. Her eyes betrayed the horror and struggle she was feeling at the smell of Jasons blood. 'Upstairs...' She didnt know what else to say 'Carlisle... hurry...' She looked over to Damienne 'It'll be okay Damienne...' She was sure of it... she hadnt seen this... Why hadnt she seen this???

Damienne had barely walked into the house and called the essential words before she heard Edward shouting at her again. She didn't like this version of Edward, but she was thankful she was getting this now as opposed to finding out later that he could get quite grouchy. “Okay,” she half called, half said to herself as she turned and headed back outside. She couldn't face an angry Edward. That would destroy the vision of him in her head and that just didn't seem right. She sighed as she stepped outside again, the cold air hitting her face. It was so warm in the house. She saw another car pull up behind Edward's, a blonde haired guy getting out and moving to Alice in an instance. Damienne scowled slightly. Their father perhaps? He did seem to have that same look about them. Damienne couldn't explain it. There was just something that told her that this blonde had something to do with Alice and Edward and her best guess was that he was their father. She watched them for a moment before dropping her eyes to the floor.
She didn't like that she didn't know what was going on in her own house and that she was taking the brunt of whatever it was via Edward. She scowled, looking quite sad as her eyes flickered across the floor, analysing every little crack in the stone beneath her feet. She wanted to see her dad, but Edward's tone had scared her a little. She felt her hands shaking at her sides as she continued to stare at the floor, taking another step away from the house. She felt her knees wobbling now, threatening to buckle. She threw a hand up to her head, closing her eyes and brushing her hand from her forehead and up into her hair, dislodging her head band. She gripped the band and pulled it out of her hair, feeling her knees wobble again. Something told her Tobias had something to do with this. Hands shaking, she reached for her phone in her pocket, just as she felt someone grab her elbow, causing her to gasp. She looked up to see the blonde from before. She noticed how his eyes were a similar colour to Edward's. They couldn't not be related.
She shook her head, slowly at first, a grimace covering her face, her shaking increasing as realisation flowed over her, her expression dropping even further. She hadn't even noticed Alice coming up to the house. 'Carlisle?' Damienne repeated in her head as she heard Alice call the guy supporting her the name. So much for the father theory though. She slowly turned to Alice, hearing the other girl's words. “Are you sure?” she questioned, voice breaking slightly. She glanced up into the other girl's eyes, her own stinging furiously. “And who was that?” she questioned. “When he got here, I thought he was your dad...” she explained in a low tone. That was when a different realisation flowed over her. “Hang on, is that your dad?” she questioned, looking into the house. “Weren't you going to meet him anyway?” she questioned. She really couldn't put two and two together properly, could she? Had Edward faked the call before? She scowled to herself, feeling slightly upset at the thought of Edward having faked the call to get rid of her.

Carlisle was distracted by the shaking human that he hadn't noticed Alice going into the house. She was soon out of his again, pulling a face. He listened to her broken speech, before nodding towards Damienne, hoping Alice would be able to take care of the girl as he brushed passed them both and up into the house. “Thank you, Alice,” he called back to her as he moved through the house. All he had to do was follow the smell of blood. Desensitised to it as he was, he knew that this would be torture for Edward and Alice, so the moment he found Edward, he was planning on sending the younger vampire down to his sister and their friend. He moved swiftly up the stairs, finding a room with an open door, the smell of blood strongest outside the door. He looked into the room to see Edward helping Jason on the floor, who seemed to be in a great deal of pain. “Good work, Edward,” he commented as he crossed the room to them, crouching down beside Jason. “Could you go fetch my bag please?” he asked, giving Edward a pointed look, hoping he would take the hint.
He refocused on Jason. “Jason,” he said calmly, looking him over. 'Broken ribs...and arm,' he told himself mentally, as he scowled and continued to look him over. “It's Dr. Cullen,” he said, making himself known, if Jason wasn't totally aware of the situation for any reason. “You mind telling me what happened?” he queried as he helped Jason to sit up, supporting his back against the bed as they both sat on the floor. He looked at Edward again. “Edward, my bag,” he reiterated, sounding more insistent now. Surely Edward couldn't stand this for much longer and he doubted the younger vampire would forgive himself if he attacked his friend's father. He looked away from Edward to continue his examination of Jason. checked Jason's eyes. 'No concussion,' he told himself. 'Might be worth a check though...' he continued his mental examination of Jason's physical injuries. “Come on, Jason,” he insisted. “Edward's gone now. What happened? I can't help you if I don't know what I'm treating here,” he went on, curious as to the state he was in.
