Jason chuckled lightly 'Ahh well... Us Rentons.... Are tougher... Than we look.' Well at least the shapeshifter part was... He certainly wasnt as strong as most of his family... Shame he didnt have their regeneration, that would come in handy right now. He nodded as he heard Edward talk about Damienne, he smirked 'Damienne's always been... the good kid... she deserved more... than the drama' It was true, she deserved to have a quiet trouble free life away from the shifters in the family. A normal life, well as normal a life as she could get knowing that her Brothers and sisters could turn into wolves.
He nodded to Carlisle 'Much... Thanks' He still took deep breaths, but they were deep breaths now, not the constricted shallow ones from before. He chuckled to Carlisle's comment about children 'Crazy sometimes no?' He had never thought Carlisle to be the sort to have children, but he had said they had been fostered. 'Though your kids dont seem the type to cause trouble.' unlike his children... Jason shook his head slowly to Carlisle, he didnt want Dorian to get involved, and he knew Damienne couldnt talk to Edward about it all. 'Its all a little complicated' Well that was an understatement. 'Dorian is the eldest, he lives in Seattle, one of the more understanding siblings...' He looked to Edward and smiled slightly 'I am sure Damienne would appreciate it Edward... I worry about her, she hasnt many friends here...' He could tell Damienne liked this Edward, and he could see why.

His eyes met Carlisle's for a moment and smiled, he knew he had been abusing Carlisle quite a bit lately. He appriciated everything Carlisle did, even if he didnt always show it. This situation was dangerous for all of them, yet Carlisle was still willing to help. He looked back to Jason 'Things like this happen often?' He enquired carefully, but curiously. It would be another reason to why Jason would want Damienne away from Tobias if he could hurt his own flesh and blood this way. Edward knew what Carlisle meant and he turned his head away from his gaze. He had hurt Carlisle and Esme so much when he had gone his own way, yet after the monster he had become, they still took him back. He always felt guitly about that, he would never forget the sacrifices his parents made for him.
He wanted to be there for Damienne, it seemed she needed him more than he imagined. Though she probably didnt realise what kind of trouble she was getting herself into. He wasnt sure if it was a good idea for them to interfere, but he wouldnt be able to stay away from Damienne, he wanted to do everything he could to make her safe. He didnt know if inviting more shapeshifters into their territory would be such a good idea... After all he was sure that even this Dorian wouldnt be happy about Damienne being around the Cullens. 'She'll be alright Mr Renton' He would make sure of that 'Dont worry about her, just worry about getting better.

Alice chuckled and nodded 'Trust me you have no idea...' Edward was famously stubborn, though Damienne seemed to be bringing out a different side in him. Alice may not have seen much about Damienne's future but she knew that they would become friends. She was glad, she liked Damienne a lot and it really looked like Damienne needed a friend right now. She was so young and already had so many secrets she had to bare.... It wasnt fair. 'Edwards just trying to protect you, its a little out of character... He must like you a lot' She beamed to Damienne, it was true that Edward never paid any attention to the girls, normally they annoyed him, like that girl Jessica. He simply ignored them, but Damienne was different. Alice simply nodded, Carlisle was certainly that. His services were much sort after at the hospital and she doubted there was any human injury he couldnt do something for.
Alice grinned a little as Damienne managed to slip up as well, she liked this game, she wondered if she would be able to get anything else out of her... Perhaps she would be able to see if she knew anything about them. 'Oh no... They are totally the opposite... Not fluffy at all' She giggled lightly looking into Damiennes eyes with a look that could melt butter. 'Well I only know him as a brother, but hes a real softy when you get to know him.' She listened to her explain about Dorian and she considered the information she was giving her. So Tobias wasnt the pack leader, neither was Jason for he was human... 'Why whos normally in charge?' By the size of the family she would have gathered they had their own pack, eacj pack had a leader, if Tobias was that leader they were in trouble...

Carlisle smiled as Jason spoke. At least he wasn't finding it difficult to talk to him and Edward. That was encouraging to say the very least. “I can see that now,” he admitted with a smile, still trying to keep things mellow, so that conversation would flow better. He smirked again when Jason repeated Edward's words. He straightened his expression when he said that she deserved more, scowling slightly as he listened to them speak. “Drama,” he mumbled mostly to himself. He smiled once again when Jason said that it was much better and thanked him. “It's my job,” he replied with a smile. “You seem to be breathing easier, which is a start,” he said in an analytical manner, looking him over again. “And the bleeding seems to be stopping on it's own,” he said, glancing over him further, noting the healthy clotting that was forming. He smiled at Jason's reply to his comment about children and the things they would do for them. “You're telling me,” he jested with a light laugh. He glanced over to Edward with a smirk as Jason said they didn't seem the type to cause trouble. “They try to stay out of the lime light,” he said in a low tone.
“Well, like I said, you might not need him here, you should just let one of them know perhaps, just in case,” he replied to Jason's head shaking. 'Complicated?' Carlisle thought, trying to stop himself from prying the point. Things seemed complicated enough right now, how could they be worse? Though, Jason couldn't imagine what the Cullens had worked out about the Rentons...not yet, not in his state. He nodded as Jason explained who Dorian was. “Well, he may come in useful, perhaps if you and Damienne chose to go away for a few days...” he suggested. It probably sounded ridiculous because no doubt, one or both of them would have wanted them to come back sooner rather than later. He smiled softly at the exchange between Jason and Edward: from the sound of Jason's voice, Damienne was already taking a shine to Edward. It also seemed that Jason was liking the fact that someone around here was making friends with her. Carlisle remained silent as Edward spoke to Jason. He smiled when he told him not to worry. Edward was being very grown up about all this.

Damienne chuckled lightly as Alice spoke. “I guess I'll have to really trust you on that point,” she joked, laughing lightly still. She then sighed heavily, staring off into space. Today was turning out to be one hell of a day for her and for everyone else it would seem. She refocused on Alice as she heard her speak again, feeling a furious blush spread to her cheeks the instance Alice mentioned Edward 'trying to protect [her]' and how he 'must like [her] a lot'. “I've only known him for one day,” she offered in a low, slightly shocked and flustered voice, unable to look at Alice's face now, but she could see the smile on the other girl's face without even having to look at her. Alice seemed super happy about that little piece of information. “I'll have to be sure to come to Carlisle with my injuries in future,” she said, keeping the conversation light, despite the topic matter. “I HATE hospitals,” she mumbled with a shiver. Carlisle would definitely be a pleasant alternative to the probing doctors she'd had before.
Her eyes flickered over to Alice as she other girl said her family were the opposite 'not fluffy at all'. She couldn't help, but laugh as Alice giggled. “You're lucky,” she mumbled, feeling as if Alice was trying to get something out of her, but Damienne wasn't sure where to start. She brushed a hand through her hair, still clutching her head band from before. She looked up at Alice again, a small smile forming on her face as she other girl spoke about Edward. What a way to distract her. It was definitely working like a charm. She laughed when Alice referred to him as a 'softy'. “I doubt he'd appreciate that 'sentiment',” she offered with a smirk. She considered Alice's final question. Had she worked out what Damienne had been talking about before? She swallowed. 'Calm as you seem, Damienne,' she told herself. “Dorian, I guess,” she offered. If Alice had worked things out, she would be aware that her father wasn't the one that got to be in charge. Even so, with the family they had, Dorian really was in charge. “Mom was always in charge...” She trailed off her last sentence.

Jason was greatful for Carlisle and Edwards help, after all they were saving him from having to explain this big mess to the Police. 'How long do you think I'll be out of action Doc?' He didnt mind all that much, apart from the fact he was the only one bringing in money. They would survive somehow though, they always did. He chuckled lightly 'Perhaps some of that might rub off on Damienne. Not that shes a bad kid of course' If anything she was too quiet... a teenager should be moody and shouting at him, stamping their feet... Then again she got enough of that from her siblings, she didnt need to do it herself so much. He looked to Edward as he asked his question 'You can never tell with Tobias, hes got a bit of a short fuse...'
He nodded slowly 'Yeah, I'm sure he'd want to know...' Though he was sure he wouldnt be too happy to hear Tobias still couldnt accept their choice. He was glad Dorian saw the same as Jason, that the Vampires were not a threat to them. If only they could get Tobias to see the same as they did. He sighed a little he didnt want to take Damienne away from school right now 'I dont think taking Damienne out of school is a good idea, shes only just settled.' He didnt want Tobias to get the impression they were running from him, he was not going to threaten them from their home.
He watched as Edwardmoved from the room, he was still worried about Damienne. He looked to Carlisle 'Do you think I could see Damienne?' He wanted to see her, he was sure she was worried sick. He wanted to apologise to her, he should have been more careful. He must have put a real downer on her day, he hoped she had a good day apart from all of this. Though by the way Edward was talking he was guessing so.

Edward was glad that Damiennes dad was pulling through, though he had a lot of healing to do. At least he knew he was out of the danger zone, he could breath and his bleeding was slowing, all they needed now was a splint for his arm... He had learned a fair bit from him and his thoughts, he smirked a bit when he asked how long he would be out of action. So eager to get back to work it seemed, though his thought bothered him. He was right, with Jason not earning how were they going to survive? Unlike them Jason and Damienne needed food and heat and nothing was ever free... Though he was sure there would be some sort of solution to it all.
He nodded slowly to Jason as he spoke about Tobias, though his sudden thought about the 'vampires' suddenly made him alert. Then again if he was thinking like that Jason obviously hadnt worked out they were the vampires this Tobias seemed to hate so much. He gritted his teeth slightly, so thats what all the fuss was about, though he wasnt really suprised. He wondered though if Damienne knew... It would only be a matter of time until Jason worked it out... Then what? would his view of them change at all? Edward was troubled by it, then again he couldnt let it show.
He looked to Carlisle 'I'm going to see if I can find some wood for a splint...' He stood and left the room, he pulled off his bloody shirt and threw it on the ground. He didnt really want to freak Damienne out any more than she was already. He walked down the stairs, listening to Alice and Damienne chatting, they seemed to have hit it off rather well... 'My ears are burning... have you two been talking of me?' He smirked a little looking to Damienne 'Do you have any wooden boards?' He gathered Damienne would know if they did...

Alice chuckled 'You will see in time' She winked lightly and giggled. Alice could see Damienne was thinking about something, though what she said next confused her. 'Does that matter? I mean, I knew when I first saw Jasper that I would die for him...' Once again Alice had missed the point. But Alice didnt understand human emotions or logic. Love for her was instant, she knew about Jasper from the moment she woke up so meeting him was a minor thing, she already loved him before that... All Alice knew was that Edward felt something for Damienne, Edward had never paid attention to any woman. Infact its one of the reasons Rosalie was so resentful of Edward...
'Oh I'm sure Carlisle would be more than happy to help out' She smiled, she wasnt keen on hospitals herself... it was all that blood. She shuddered slightly, she was amazed how resilient Carlisle was around it all. She chuckled a little as she said she was lucky 'IOh I dont know about that one... Perhaps one day you'll see how wrong you are...' She giggled, she was sure one day Damienne would find out... There was no doubt about that. She shook her head 'Your probably right, he would kill me if I told you his nickname' she winked to Damienne.
So Dorian was the 'pack' leader... She nodded slowly and was going to probe further when a shirtless Edward came down the stairs... 'Its rude to eavesdrop you know Edward...', she looked curiously to Edward wondering if Jason was okay, she hoped so, though she didnt know the extent of the damage. She had heard snippits from upstairs so she knew he was certainly stable for now at least...

Carlisle brushed a hand back through his hair as he considered Jason's question. “Well, the lungs will take a couple of weeks. They're wasn't worrying the most. I'm going to have to replace that needle because that will cause you further discomfort,” he began to explain, considering the other injuries. “The longest in maybe six weeks and that's on a minimum. You might want to give it seven weeks...to be safe?” he offered. “I trust the time off will be easily taken at work or shall I put a word in for you?” he questioned. He would happily talk to the manager at the garage if it was needed. He smiled at Jason's mention of the lime light avoidance rubbing off on Damienne. “Edward's a good enough influence, I think,” he offered, glancing at the younger vampire. He watched Jason closely as he answered Edward's previous question. “I think we can understand that,” Carlisle offered calmly. “Well, you can borrow my phone if you like,” he offered, adjusting the way he was sat to pull his phone from his pocket. “It is still just an idea, so don't feel you have to,” he went on.
“That was also just a suggestion,” he offered, nodding slowly, when Jason said that he didn't think taking Damienne out of school would be a good idea. Carlisle took his 'children' out of school all the time, but they had been through several times over the last century, so they knew what to expect and they could catch up at a better rate than the average even if they didn't know what was going on. “That is understandable, though, it's taken her this long to settle?” he questioned. It did occur to him that Edward and the others hadn't returned to school until earlier that day, but surely other people would have made her feel welcome. Then again, it had taken them a little while to get themselves established, but once they were, that was it, no one would shut up about them. He nodded when Jason asked if he could see Damienne. “I think we should try and get rid of the blood first,” he suggested. “She'll panic much less,” he added, knowing that was what Jason wanted and what Edward wanted, remembering his reluctance to go downstairs covered in the stuff.
He heard Edward grit his teeth. 'Something wrong?' he thought concerned by the sound. He was soon distracted by Edward speaking. “Good idea, Edward,” he replied when he said he was going to find some wood. “Then once you're all cleaned up, we can fetch Damienne?” he explained to Jason. He figured that the guy would understand the need to clean him up if he wanted to keep Damienne happy. He heard Edward pulling off his shirt before he went downstairs. 'Was that one of your better ideas?' he thought in a humoured tone, considering the reactions Edward seemed to be getting fully clothed most of the time. “You could meet Alice as well, my daughter,” he offered, realising Alice had spent the better part of her time downstairs. Then it occurred to him that she may have already made herself known earlier, figuring Edward had picked Damienne up, due to previous conversations with Jason suggesting that Damienne hadn't really been out much around town. “That is, if you haven't already?” he questioned. It just seemed like a friendly gesture to him.

Damienne chuckled lightly at Alice's words. “I wish I was half as confident in things as you were,” she replied with a smile. Alice seem so self assured in a lot of things. Though, of course, she did know Edward better. The wink Alice gave her made her blush slightly. Either Damienne was missing something completely or Alice was just very good at interpreting unspoken reactions. The blush didn't fade away when Alice asked if the fact she'd only knew Edward a day really mattered. On surface value, Damienne had thought he was pretty attractive and, over the course of the day, he had seemed better and better to her, being a good conversationalist, with a good personality and a lot of intelligence, more than she'd imagine for someone their age. She didn't think she'd confidently say she'd go as far as dying for Edward, not yet at least. “Jasper?” she questioned when Alice had mentioned the name. “He must mean a lot to you,” she went on with a soft smile. She wondered how that felt.
She smiled when Alice said she was sure that Carlisle would be more than happy to help out. “Well, he got here quick enough. I don't think I'll ever be able to thank him enough for that,” she went on. “Or Edward for having the smarts to call him in the first place,” she added in a low tone. She tilted her head, watching Alice as she spoke. Clearly Alice knew something more than she was letting on. “Maybe,” she mumbled back, partially daydreaming. She snapped out of her mini daydream when Alice mentioned Edward having a nickname. Her eyes twinkled as she smiled. “His nickname?” she questioned in an amused tone, figuring Alice would have the best insight on little things she could tease Edward with. She was about to press on with the topic when her head snapped up at the sound of someone coming down the stairs. The velvety tones had returned. She smirked to herself as Edward said his ears were burning, asking if they had been talking about him. She bit back a laugh, turning to look at him now.
Her urge to laugh was quickly drawn away, feeling her jaw drop slightly at the sight before her: Edward wasn't wearing his shirt. She half heard Alice's dig at him for eavesdropping. Though, them talking about him was on the same level as him hearing what they were saying if she really thought about it. She was so lost in staring that she barely heard his question. “Huh?” she replied, shaking herself out of her daze. She cleared her thought to focus herself. “Oh, yeah...” she went on in a mumble, getting to her feet as well as she could. She dug into her jacket pocket again, pulling out her car keys. Her dad's newer truck sat on the driveway, blocking in her car, which meant he'd not even done anything with her car as he had planned. She shook off the thought as she used her key fob to raise the double garage door. She ducked under the door in one fluid motion before it had even opened properly. “What sorta size d'you need?” she questioned, looking around for the trunk where her dad kept the spare wood from decorating.
She turned to Edward, focusing as well as she could on his face. Then it really snapped in her mind that he wasn't wearing a shirt and here she was in her coat still. “Do you want a shirt?” she offered. “I know there's a new one in the house. I was gonna give it to Dorian, but I can just get him another,” she continued to offer. “It can't be good for you wandering round like that when it's this cold,” she went on, feeling like she was rambling, but at least she hadn't looked his his torso again yet. She would figure her capability of speech would go straight out of the window if she did. She awaited Edward's answer as she moved to the trunk she had been looking for, which unfortunately was behind Edward. She had forgotten about it being there. Having spotting the trunk, she accidentally looked at Edward. 'Dammit,' she thought to herself for the umpteenth time of the night as she moved passed him. She scowled at the trunk, having to pull the clasp with all her might, stumbling back a couple of steps as she got it up, flipping up the lid.

Jason sighed a little, of course he had little choice about it all. Though 6 weeks of being unemployed was going to hit them hard, though he was confident they would get by somehow. 'As long as I can find a good enough excuse' He chuckled a little, he didnt think being beaten up by his son was really going to cut it... A car fell on him maybe? That probably would have hurt less than Tobias's beating... He shook his head as Carlisle offered his phone 'I think I will ring him later... when my heads a little clearer, but thankyou...' Either that or he would get Damienne to ring for him?
He nodded slowly as they spoke of Damienne 'Well lets just say todays the first day shes been happy after a day at school...' This Edward must be special for Damienne to respond this way, especially since from what he gathered she only met him today. But as long as she was happy he was happy. He chuckled slightly 'That is perhaps a very good idea...' He looked around, wow there was more blood than he had thought. 'Did I really bleed that much?' He sighed slightly. At lease he had plenty of clean clothes to change into... And with a doctor there he was sure he would be bandaged up nicely. 'Then again I think she is going to panic no matter what state I am in' He sighed, he didnt want Damienne blaming herself for this.
He shook his head slightly 'No... I dont believe I've had the pleasure' So he had fostered more than one child 'Its a generous thing for someone so young as you to Foster.' He couldnt be older than 25, either that or he simply looked really young for his age. He had never fostered, he had been blessed with enough natural children... Though sometimes that was a curse too. 'You must be a very good parent to juggle such a challenging job with raising teenagers' He smirked, having one teenager was normally bad enough...

Edward looked to Alice as he decended the stairs 'Utter one more word Alice and I will personally make your life a living Hell' He glared at her, though there was the hint of a playful smirk in there. Though his smirk widened a little, amused as he noticed that him being shirtless seemed to be distracting her. He chuckled silently, Carlisle had obviously found the idea of going to see her like this amuzing too. 'You okay Damienne?' He questioned in that smooth voice that only Edward seemed to manage. He followed her as she headed to the garage, of course the cold didnt bother him at all. Though he didnt really think about it, he wanted to get Damiennes dad to a state where she could see hilm without freaking out. 'Any length is fine' He could easily make it shorter if needed.
He smiled at her request... Was his shirtless body really that bad? Of course he knew it wasnt bad, but he was finding it amusing none the less. 'Sorry, do I distract that much?' He teased slightly, he was finding it all rather amusing. 'Perhaps it might be an idea once we get back to the house.' Her thought as she looked up to him made him smile, he was used to thoughts like that from girls... But for some reason with Damienne it was different, it didnt annoy him like it did with others. Trust him to finally feel comfortable with someone and for them to be related to the dogs.
He watched her open the trunk and he moved over peering in at the wood they had in there. He leaned over and selected some pieces he thought best for the job. He looked down to her, their bodies close as he looked into her eyes and spoke. 'Your dads going to be okay' Those deep golden pools, just as hypnotising as his voice, tripled with the fact he was showing off his toned muscular body to the world. He searched her eyes for anything, something telling him he was wrong, that this girl was just the same as the other girls out there... But she wasn't, she was something more, the tension between them, he had never experienced that before, her scent was alluring to him.
A frown formed over his perfect forehead as he didnt find what he was looking for, quite the opposite. He leaned in closer for a moment before opening his mouth to whisper to her 'Your worth more than you think you are Damienne...' His soft honeycomb voice coating each word like honey before he stood straight and headed back to the house, the wood tucked under his arms.

Carlisle smirked slightly. “I'm sure breaking your arm and having a few less than ideal chest problems would be excuse enough, don't you?” he questioned. He wasn't sure that Jason would have a suitable story other than 'oh, yeah, my son did this'. Carlisle didn't see that going down well and being honest with his colleagues about something of this nature may only cause more chaos for him. He had been adamant about not hospital trip or any police involvement, so Carlisle doubted that Jason would want the people he had to work with knowing exactly what happened. “It may be easier if I explain, then you don't have to tell them about Tobias?” he offered. “Well, if you're sure,” he said, not sure he was convinced at all by the situation and letting Jason deal with it on his own where work was concerned and, if this kept happening, this certainly wouldn't look good on his work record. “I'm sure you'll work something out, if you're so sure you don't need me to step in in this instance,” he said in a low tone, an eyebrow raised. “If you need me, I can give you my number,” he went on to offer. He felt he may end up seeing more of the Rentons.
He couldn't help, but smile when Jason said that today was the first day Damienne had been happy after a day at school. “I'm sure that makes you feel better about the move,” he replied, still smiling. “I hope Edward's being a gentleman, helping her out and the like,” he went on, still smirking, knowing Edward probably was doing just that anyway. He slowly stood, offering his support down to Jason to help him to his feet to help him get cleaned up. “It's surprising how much people can bleed and not notice,” he commented offhandedly. “Bathroom?” he questioned, needing to find somewhere to clean up the blood before changing the needle for a tube and change Edward's makeshift bandages. “Careful with that arm,” he reminded as he helped Jason move. “I'm sure seeing her father cleaned up will be more reassuring that this,” he said, waving an arm at Jason. “Well, I'm sure she'd enjoy the visit as well, she's not been out a lot lately and she enjoys talking to new people,” he reassured about Alice with a smirk. He shrugged when Jason said he thought he was pretty young to be fostering.
He reached up and rubbed the nape of his neck briefly in thought. He couldn't exactly tell the truth on how he acquired so many children and he knew he didn't look old enough for them all to be his, considering they were all in their mid to late teens. “It's something my wife and I enjoy, in a roundabout fashion: giving a home to those that need them. Esme loves them all,” he explained with a gentle smile. It wasn't that far from the truth really. He laughed lightly when Jason said that he must be a very good parent to juggle such a challenging job with raising teenagers. “I think I was just blessed with some of the more well behaved teenagers I've ever known,” he replied, laughing still. He was laughing at both Jason's comment and what he could hear from downstairs. It seemed the girls had been caught out a little more than either of them was expecting. Edward really was getting drawn into something here, he could tell. Things were going to be a lot more interesting with the Rentons around and he was sure that Edward or Alice had no intention of keeping them out of their lives, so that inadvertently meant they were in his as well.

Damienne was still amused, even when she heard Edward threatening Alice about making her life hell if she said anything else. The look on his face gave him away, even if he tried to keep his voice straight. She nodded shakily when he asked if she was okay. “Never better,” she mumbled in a dazed tone as she got to her feet. The combination of his voice, his stunning good looks and now the added bonus of him being shirtless made her feel more than okay right now. She should have known that any response to her question would have made her giggle at this point and Edward saying that any length was fine just made the giggle burst out in a short, sharp sound. “Sorry,” she mumbled, hoping he didn't think she was that immature. She tried to stop the giggles when Edward asked if he distracted her that much. She chewed on her lip, resisting the urge to look him up and down. “Yeah, you do,” she said offhandedly. “I mean...” she added quickly, cringing at her own words yet again, blushing like crazy.
“Yeah, I think it'd suit you better than Dorian,” she said absent mindedly. 'I'd say I'd feel much better, but then I wouldn't have the view...' she thought before blushing furiously. She did her best to smile up at Edward as he smiled at her without making more of a fool of herself and opening her mouth to speak again. That would not end well. The fact they were alone together didn't help her much. She threw her headband onto the shelf before opening the trunk. With the trunk open, she could distract herself a little, but not that much because she could feel the giggles returning again as she thought about the original question. She felt reassured by Edward's words. They could be whisking her dad off to the hospital with Edward as a distraction, but, right now, she wouldn't care in the slightest. Looking up into his honey coloured eyes calmed her right down. Where was he when she was spazzing out before? She definitely wouldn't have shied away from a hug from him. She brushed her hands back through her hair.
She felt herself to be just about composed when she saw the scowl on Edward's face. That was when he moved closer. She withdrew a sharp breath, focusing on Edward's face, eyes flickering between his eyes and his lips. Why did he have to be soon damn close all of a sudden? She blinked furiously, trying to bring herself back to her senses, but with Edward just inches from her face, she couldn't help, but be a little distracted. “I...uh...” she began, having heard Edward's words. “I'll have to take your word for it,” she said slightly breathlessly, just before he stood straight back up, having picked the pieces he needed and moving back into the house. She stood, trying to breathe steadily again. “Gosh,” she whispered to herself. She chewed furiously on her lip for a moment. “Edward,” she finally called, getting brave. She walked out of the garage, pressing the button on her keys to lower the door again. “Do you want that shirt?” she questioned as she followed him. “Can I go see my dad yet?” she went on to ask, trying to make it not seem all about the shirt.

Jason chuckled and nodded 'I'm sure your right there Doc' He was certainly grateful that his daughter managed to have gone out with the son of a doctor. He dreaded to think how the night might have gone if Edward had not been there. He was sure he could find an excuse to get off work, of course supporting themselves after was a different matter. 'I am grateful Edward happened to be your son' He smirked, Dr Cullen certainly seemed to get there quickly. He could see that having a doctor handy was certainly going to be useful. 'Thanks for the offer Doc, if I need any help I'll let ya know' He sighed slightly, what a mess this all was... He blinked a few times as he remembered something, looking to Carlisle 'Why has my son coming from La Push have anything to do with not getting the police involved?' His head was clearing a little and he certainly remembered Edward mentioning that... How could that have any influence, unless they knew something...
He smiled, he had only met Edward briefly bfore they went out, but he was sure he was being very welcoming to his daughter. 'Yes, it makes me think I did make the right choice in moving her here... Its been hard on her but I'm glad shes finally starting to make friends' He winced as Carlisle helped him up, he wanted to get cleaned up though so he could see Damienne, he was sure she ws still really worried. He pointed to the bathroom as Carlisle asked where it was, Carlisle was suprisingly strong, he didnt even feel him sag under his weight at all. Jason used his good arm to carefully cradle the broken one. 'Thanks... I worry about her a lot, she really doesnt need all this at the moment.' He just hoped she would be okay after this, he was sure they would be able to sort out the trouble with Tobias somehow.
He nodded slowly as Carlisle talked about Alice as they entered the bathroom, Jason looked into the mirror to see his bloodied and bruised face. 'Thats a shame... I am sure Damienne is greatful for the company too, I think she feels a little like a fish out of water here...' He turned on the taps and took a towel as he started to slowly dab the blood off his face with his good arm. He was sure Damienne would still freak out when she saw him. 'You and your wife are very selfless people, there are not a lot of people out there who would do what you have done.' He smiled to Carlisle, most people in the world were selfish in one way or another. He chuckled as Carlisle said he was blessed with well behaved teenagers 'Then your certainly very lucky. Or just a very good parent' He sometimes where his family went wrong, of course he knew... It was the whole shapeshifter thing. He loved his family, but they werent always the easiest to get on with at times...[/blockquote]
