Edward shook his head slightly 'I'm glad I amuse you...' He smirked slightly as she blushed and said that he distracted her, it amused him greatly seeing her battle with herself. Of course he knew any human would feel uncomfortable, the vampire pheremones were built to draw in their prey. Though it amused him it also worried him slightly, it seemed that Damienne had enough trouble in her life without having to worry about having a vampire in it too. He could also be dragging his family into a war without even meaning to, he was sure they wouldnt be grateful for it. However he was drawn to Damienne, he had never been drawn to anyone before, he had only just met her yet he could feel that he wanted to be there for her and protect her.
'Is it blue?' He questioned conversationally, knowing her mind wasnt really working in a straightforward manner. He chuckled as he heard her thought about the view, though cursed himself for letting him react to her thought. Perhaps she wouldnt pick it up though. He saw the blush, and smiled, he forgot how telling the human form was. The rush of blood to her cheeks made her scent even more alluring to him and he swallowed as the constant burn flared slightly. He could tell that she really cared for her dad, he wondered though how much she knew about their situation. He knew her father knew there were Vampires in Forks, but did she? He hadnt detected any thoughts suggesting such... Did he really want to drag her unwillingly into his world when she was already having trouble with the dogs? Her thoughts of her dad touched him, she was having a hard time that was for sure. Humans with their emotions, he was finding it hard to cope with all of them, he certainly wished he had Jasper around to help control them... He hesitated a moment before he rather awkwardly put his arms around her and pulled her gently in for a reassuring hug as Esme did with him when his thoughts troubled him.
He had meant everything he said, about her being worth more than she thought she was. She was down to earth and caring, which seemed to be rare, she really cared about her family, he admired that. He gently released her as he took the wood, heading back to the house. There was a frown on his forehead, he didnt understand the feelings he had for this human, the feelings troubled his thoughts greatly. He turned round as she called his name tilting his head in question. 'Sure... And let me go see how he is, I'm sure he will want to see you...' He turned back around and continued to the house, of course for him it wasnt like he needed it, he didnt feel the cold like a fragile human like her did.

Carlisle smiled when Jason finally agreed with him. It seemed to be a little difficult to get the guy to agree to anything. Considering the situation, Carlisle understood completely. “Finally, something we can agree on,” he commented in an amused tone, when Jason agreed with him being right about finding a reason to miss work. “I'm sure Damienne is as well,” he replied. “But, it's my job. You don't have to be grateful. If I didn't help, I wouldn't be doing my job. It's what I do,” he offered. He smiled. “I'll have Edward pass my number onto Damienne for you. I'm sure that will be easier,” he replied, with a smirk. The smirk wavered for a moment when Jason questioned the mention of Tobias being from La Push and getting the police involved. “They have different ways in La Push, I'm sure you're aware of that,” Carlisle offered as efficiently as he could. “La Push kids don't tend to pay much attention to the Forks authorities, unless they need to be here more than just to cause trouble,” he went on, hoping Jason would see the logic. Otherwise, he and Edward would be screwed for bringing it up. 'Edward...' he thought in a slight panic.
“I'm sure she thinks you made the right choice to begin with, listening to her request...” he replied. “I'm sure she struggled to make herself heard with Tobias around, am I right?” he questioned conversationally. He wondered briefly how many other children he had and if they were all shape shifters. Of course, the bloodline had to come from somewhere, but it clearly wasn't from Jason's side of the family, so there was a chance he had daughters who were shape shifters, logic saying the gene came from the mother's side of the family. Damienne had to be the youngest, surely. Though, something worried Carlisle. She would be barely seventeen, he'd wager, judging on how she knew Edward. She was at the end of the danger zone. He tried to shake those thoughts away. He didn't want to wish Edward ill in this situation by reminding him about that fact. He did see something in Edward's eyes when he mentioned Damienne and it would be devastating to see that disappear. He let out a slow breath, covering up the sigh he really wanted to let out.
“I'm sure she's made a good friend in Edward,” he offered with a smirk. He was trying to be encouraging and it wouldn't look good if he made Edward sound like some sort of jerk that would abandon her after all this, even when he said he'd make sure she was taken care of. It was encouraging that Jason could stand and he didn't seem to be out of focus. “I'm sure she worries about you just as much,” he called from the bathroom, with a smile on his face, still unsure whether he was being the doctor or the friend now. He couldn't tell if this was common courtesy or friendly conversation. He looked around for the things he would need to make sure that Jason looked a little more presentable before they brought Damienne upstairs. “I'm sure she deals with it better than you'd think,” he went on, having grabbed a cloth and running it under the tap. “Your children will amaze you from time to time,” he finished with a smirk. He offered Jason the cloth, allowing him the freedom to get most of the blood off, whilst he rummaged for bandages in his case.
He continued to look through his case as Jason continued to speak. “Well, considering how long she's managed to keep Damienne downstairs, I think Alice is enjoying the company,” he offered with a slightly laugh. He considered Jason's view of how Damienne was feeling. “She's not completely settled yet. Give her time. She'll adjust,” he went on with a smile. He had every faith in Damienne adjusting well, considering how her father was about this whole situation and, with Edward on side as he had near promised Jason, he was sure that Damienne would feel better, even though, Carlisle knew Edward would start to be over cautious as he sometimes did. He continued to smile as Jason referred to himself and Esme as 'very selfless people'. This point would be where the average human would have blushed and had trouble with their words. “In some cases, we couldn't help ourselves. We couldn't just leave them behind,” he replied. He was good at keeping things covered up. “I think I'm just very lucky,” he replied with a laugh, standing up again, bandages in hand.

Damienne swallowed before letting out a short, steadying breath. He was winding her up. He had to be trying to wind her up. “Yeah, very amusing,” she said slightly breathlessly. 'So much for staying composed,' she thought to herself, not even angry with herself anymore. She couldn't help herself. There was no excuse for it and she really couldn't help it at all. What was he trying to do: give her a heart attack or something? “Yeah, it is, funnily,” she replied when Edward conversationally questioned the colour of the shirt, scowling, slightly confused. Maybe it was just a good guess. He was trying to distract her now and make out like he wasn't driving her crazy, wasn't he? 'So much for the 'nice guy' theory,' she thought to herself in an amused tone, though smirking slightly. He was still a nice guy, he was just on the wind up. She tried to smile her way through her embarrassed blush as Edward watched her, smiling. She chewed on the inside of her lip, trying to get rid of the blush, but not to much affect.
She was surprised when Edward hesitated and then, albeit slightly awkwardly, wrapped her arms around her, pulling her closer to him in a hug. She didn't tense this time, as she had done with Alice, even though she had been expecting this even less from Edward. She tried to avoid touching his bare skin with her hands, though, again, she couldn't help herself. She reached her hands to his back, pressing them against the hard muscles of his shoulder. “God, you're cold,” she commented softly. “Maybe you need that shirt sooner rather than later,” she added with a smirk as she forced herself to pull away. She followed him out of the garage, having pressed the button on her key fob to shut the door. She brushed a hand up into her hair. “Shoot,” she outburst. Distracted by Edward as she was, she'd forgotten to pick up her headband. She ducked under the garage door, quickly grabbed her headband, having to bend down lower to get back out before the door shut. 'That was close,' she thought.
She was slightly taken aback as Edward turned around when she called his name. It was just the way he tilted his head, looking at her. She partially froze where she stood as she spoke and then listened to his response. “I gotta go get the shirt from my room, so I'm gonna have to come upstairs anyway,” she explained. “I guess you could just stand in my dad's door way and I can run passed?” she suggested. The mention of Edward standing in any doorway made her heart jump. She shook the thought from her head before following Edward further into the house. She stopped, spinning on her heel to face Alice, who was still stood on the outside of the house. “Oh, ummm, Alice, could you grab my bag from the car, please?” she asked politely. “I gotta help Edward,” she fumbled. “You can come straight up to my room,” she said enthusiastically, being able to focus more now that she wasn't looking at Edward. At least then, if Edward came into her room, Alice would be able to bring her back to reality.

Jason nodded to Carlisle 'I think that possibly is a good idea, you know kids, so much better with mobile phones and the such.' He chuckled, it would come in useful having a Doctor on the network, though he was hoping this wasnt going to become a regular occurance, he didnt want any questions about his family being asked. 'Really? I never realised you guys got problems from the reservation...' He looked to Carlisle curiously, surely these guys couldnt know about the shapeshifters? He looked into his honey coloured eyes and a memory stirred from something that Tobias had said before he moved... He shook it from his head and chuckled shrugging 'Oh well, kids will be kids...' His head was certainly feeling better... though it was starting to raise questions for him now.
He sighed and nodded slowly 'Damienne has always had trouble fitting in with it all, being the youngest when her mother died, she is very different to most her siblings...' Well all bar one other that is. He always worried that Damienne too might have picked up the gene, he didnt know how he would cope if that turned out to be the case. He wanted to protect Damienne from it all, but he couldnt protect her from herself. He just had to hope and pray everything would turn out for the best. As he cleaned himself slowly but painfully up he couldnt help but sigh, he knew Damienne worried about him, but he didnt want her too. He just wanted her to have a normal life. He looked at his reflection, this was far from the normal life, his eyes stung as tear welled. He never showed any weakness to his children, but he could never do anything right for them. 'I'm sure she does... Damienne is a tough Cookie...' He reached up and wiped his eyes and face with the towel.
'I am sure she is itching to get up here though...' Damienne was the only family he really had at the moment, she reminded him so much of her mother at times it hurt, but he loved her so much and would do anything for her. He finished off wiping the smeared blood as best he could, he was looking better, still not great though. He had a gash on his forehead and his lip was swollen, bruises were starting to show too. He looked to Carlisle and smiled 'I am sure they are all greatful for having such caring parents. I think perhaps they are just as lucky as you.' He was finding Carlisles presence calming, it was nice to talk to another father figure, even if this man seemed a lot younger than him, he obviously loved his family. He stood up as straight as he could 'Ready for the mummification...' He chuckled looking at the bandages in his hand.

Edward was amused by Damienne's reactions to him, it was cruel, but her thoughts and reactions were entertaining. He smirked slightly when she told him it was blue 'My favourite colour... You sure you didnt know anything about be before?' It was cruel, a jest, but also a dig to try to see if she would let anything slip in her thoughts. He shrugged a little, she could tell he was winding her up a little, she was making it all too easy though. The blush looked so pretty on her, he couldnt deny that, he had never considered a human girl to be pretty, they had just been there... There was something about her though that just held Edwards attention. He wasnt sure what his family would think about it though. It was certainly something he had to talk to about with Carlisle.
Edwards muscles tensed as he felt her warm hands touch his bare skin. Damn it, she was really making him slip up a lot. He cursed himself, though he was suprised she didnt flinch from his ice cold touch. Getting him that shirt wouldnt warm him up, he was being reminded how difficult being a vampire around a human was. He sighed slightly looking back as she rushed to get her head band, his eyebrow raised slightly as the breeze picked up her scent and wafted it through her hair and towards him. He tensed again, his teeth gritting as his eyes widened slightly. Most peoples scent had very little affect on him, however Damiennes seemed to tease and taunt him in an almost cruel way. He turned away for a moment as the burn ripped through his throat. Getting emotionally attatched to what was normally considered food for his kind really wasnt a good idea...
He nodded slowly 'Let me go up first...' He turned and headed upstairs and saw Carlisle and Jason in the bathroom 'Here I think these should work...' he said passing the planks to Carlisle 'Just a warning though... Damiennes coming up so you might want to close the door...' At least Jason was looking better, battered and bruised but a lot less bloody and scary. He knew he was in good hands though.

Alice nodded and sighed as Damienne asked her about Jasper 'Jasper is everything to me... Though lately I don't think I've been showing it all that well' She sighed, she loved her Jazzy with her entire being, but the night before had made her realise truely how terrible she had been to him. She never dreamed she was capable of hurting him so much, yet she was managing it a lot lately. She only hoped she could make it up to Jasper some how, she knew he was angry at her for leaving him behind tonight. She wasnt helping things at all right now and that made her feel even worse. Her Jazzy was her world and her world was starting to cruble and fall around her.
Damienne's voice woke her from her daze when Damienne spoke about Carlisle getting there so fast. 'Carlisle would drop nearly anything to come help us... Hes selfless like that' She smiled to Damienne, she knew it was true, Carlisle loved all of them, no matter what they did... 'Edward knows just as well as I do that Carlisle is there to help us, and Carlisle always knows what to do' Except for what was wrong with her of course.... Alice grinned as she enquired about Edwards nickname, but was cut short by Edward. 'You make it a living hell anyway' She poked her tongue out to him playfully as she watched the two of them head out to the garage. She shook her head sighing, Edward really wasnt all that subtle thing, then again men never were...
She waited listening out both at the conversation upstairs and Edwards games in the garage, she shook her head as Edward played with Damienne, but was glad when they headed back over to her. 'Sure' She beamed as she skipped to the car to get her bag. She was happy to see that Edward was happy, she had never seen Edward like this, he had been getting so moody and angry as of late, but Damienne seemed to be changing his mood. Alice just hoped things went well for them... Even if it looked like it was going to be a bumpy ride...

Carlisle laughed at Jason's initial comment about kids being better with mobile phones and such. He didn't have the heart to admit that he was certain he knew as much about his phone as Edward did. Though, he did sometimes play the father who hadn't got a clue. It was a fun role to fall back on from time to time. He didn't really responded to that other than his laugh as it was Jason's next response about the kids from the reservation. “It's simply something I've observed,” he offered, trying to chuckle to make his previous point less matter-of-fact. “The people from La Push would much rather take care of things themselves,” he went on with a shrug. “Again, just something I've observed. Occupational hazard,” he finished with a wink. He laughed finally at Jason's observation of 'kids will be kids'. “They will indeed,” Carlisle responded brightly, smirking at the thought. He played over the different things he would have to consider now. Jason was thinking clearer and things were starting to click in his head. Carlisle would have to be more careful with what he said.
He smiled softly as Jason continued to talk about Damienne. At least the topic of his daughter and her well being kept him distracted from adding things together from the exchanges between the two of them, plus Edward, from before. “Oh, I'm sorry to hear that,” he said sympathetically when he said she'd always had trouble fitting in and that she was the youngest when her mother died. She was different from her siblings? She was VERY different from her siblings? Thoughts rushed through Carlisle's head. Maybe she was clear of the gene. “I'm sure you're happy with the fact she's different from Tobias,” he said, raising an eyebrow. He pressed a reassuring hand on Jason's shoulder, a gentle smile on his face. He laughed lightly when Jason referred to his daughter as 'a tough cookie'. “Well, if she's anything like her father, she certainly is,” he said brightly, still smiling. He nodded when Jason said he was certain that Damienne would want to come upstairs now. Hopefully she'd wait long enough for them to get Jason sorted. “I can understand that, I'd be the same,” he replied.
He looked Jason over, smiling as he continued to talk about how lucky his family were. “I'd like to think so,” he responded with a soft smile. “As for luck, I think we're nearly as unfortunate as you in terms of the family drama,” he offered. Yes, it was a risky comment, but he couldn't stop being friendly now and he was still trying to get Jason to open up more. The more he knew, the more Edward could hear, the quicker they would be able to work out the Rentons. He laughed heartily at Jason when he said he was 'ready for the mummification'. “I never thought of it that way before,” he said, still laughing. He put the bandages down on the counter. “I think we should get that shirt off first, that seems to be where most of the blood is accumulated,” he directed, considering how he could take it off without further pain for Jason. That was when he remembered the scissors in his case. He found them quickly, holding them by the blade, so he didn't look like he was brandishing them. “Are you particularly fond of that shirt?” he joked, knowing the blood would be difficult enough to get out.
He could hear the others coming back into the house now, which suggested they didn't have much longer before Damienne came storming up the stairs to see her father. He knew he'd be just the same way if the situation were any different and if it was someone he cared about where Jason was and he was placed where Damienne was. He'd hate having to wait. He personally wouldn't have listened to Edward, but it seemed Damienne respected him enough to stay downstairs when he requested it. He put the scissors on the counter when he heard Edward enter the room. “Thank you, Edward, most helpful,” he replied, taking the planks from Edward's hands and placing them on the counter as well. He heard Edward's warning and smirked with his back to the boy. “Maybe you should keep her distracted then,” he suggested, winking at Jason, still smirking about the situation a little. “At least for a little while,” he added, straightening his face before turning to face Edward now. “And just close the door on your way out,” he said, smiling politely.

Damienne smiled as Alice spoke about Jasper. “I'm sure he knows it though,” she offered. “If you mean as much to him as he obviously means to you, I'm sure he'll know,” she went on. She reached out, putting a reassuring hand on Alice's shoulder. “I'm not an expert or even known anything about that sort of thing, but I'm pretty certain that's how it works. If not, that system's screwed,” she joked, trying to lighten the mood, not liking the sad look on Alice's face. She continued to smile when Alice said Carlisle would do anything to come help them. She withdrew her hand. “Sounds like dad,” she mumbled, more to herself than to Alice, but it did make it seem like she was properly acknowledging Alice at least. “Must be nice to have a close knit support system like that,” she replied. “I've got dad, dad's got me. I mean, yeah, we do talk to some of my other siblings, but they've all grown up now...they have their own support systems to help with,” she went on, sighing as she finished speaking.
Damienne felt that Alice would have given up the little piece of information about Edward's nickname if he hadn't come downstairs and playfully threatened her. She smirked at Alice's reply, giggling at the look on her face. Having lead Edward into the garage, she could just imagine the look on Alice's face for some reason. It was kind of creepy how she was working out little reactions like that. She tried to ignore the feeling about what Alice could be thinking right now. She felt her jaw drop a little when Edward said blue was his favourite colour. “I swear I didn't,” she said, a hint of panic in her voice. “Though, that is kinda weird,” she went on, chewing on her lip. “Blue's kinda my favourite colour too...well, I say 'kinda', it IS my favourite,” she insisted. “Yet something else we have in common,” she added with a smirk. 'Yet more stuff out of the blue, so to speak,' she thought to herself, glad she was already smirking because her thought only made it worse. She felt Edward's muscles tense slightly under her hands, but she thought nothing of it.
Having come out of the garage, she was hoping that she would clear her head a little more, but she'd forgotten her headband and she hadn't been too graceful about getting it back. Standing just outside the front door, the later evening clearly drawing in now, she was starting to feel the cold, which made her feel a little bit more keen to get that shirt to Edward. She didn't want him getting ill or something. “Thanks,” she replied softly to Alice, turning to Edward again. She watched Edward closely, nodding when he asked her to let him go up first. She watched him a little more closely than she should as he walked up the stairs and she remained at the bottom, the furious blush returning once again to her cheeks. She moved to the bottom of the bannister, looking up to Edward on the landing as he moved into her dad's room. She wondered what on Earth could be going on in there. “Is it safe?” she jested. “Can I go to my room now?” she asked, giggling lightly.

Edward smirked, if only Damienne realised how amusing her own thoughts were... Of course he couldnt let anything slip... After all she didnt know he could read her mind. He chuckled that she was freaking out over the coincidence, though he was glad to see she was finding it amusing too. It was rather scary that these little moments kept popping up, it was almost as if fate was taunting him... He had been alone for so long, living with his family who each had their mate... He was alone and the one person he finally started feeling something for was related to dogs.
The smell of blood from upstairs was still strong, though it was getting stale as the blood dried. Though he wasnt sure bringing Alice up there would be a good idea. As he gave the wood to Carlisle and he heard his comment he scowled slightly, he knew Carlisle was enjoying seeing his son around a girl, and he knew this was only the start of the family teasing. 'I have no idea what your talking about...' He turned around and closed the door behind him, seeing Damienne peering up the stairs. 'Sure... Your rooms all yours' He smirked slightly as he leaned over the bannister watching her. 'So what exactly are you doing with your brothers shirts anyway?' He was irritated by Carlisles comments and he didnt really want to spark any more 'comments' considering he knew Carlisle would be listening.

Jason looked up to Carlisle as he mentioned there was Drama on his side too 'Really? There must be a lot of drama then...' He watched Carlisles face closely, that comment from his family came back to his mind. He remembered hearing about the La Push people not using the hosipital because of one of the doctors. Jason never really knew much about the vampires but he was starting to piece the bits together slowly. It wasnt that he minded all that much, he had always known the Forks Vampires were different, though this really didnt bode well for either of their families if what he was thinking was right. 'Do you think perhaps the Dramas might be a problem for either of our families?' His eyes were focused, but in no way confrontational. Even if he was right he didnt want them to get the idea they were a threat in anyway.
The vampires were the reason Tobias didnt want them there... Personally Jason thought they were all just being silly, he knew the Vampires were not a threat. If they were and Carlisle was one of them then why would he help him so? Jason wanted to know either way, it was strange that their paths should cross so soon. However Damienne was happy in Edwards company and how could he worry about anything when he could see she liked his company? Sure it would be a big problem if this was the case, but he was sure they could work around it.
He laughed and shook his head when Carlisle mentioned about his shirt 'Oh I dont know... The bloody look was growing on me...' He smirked 'Do what you gotta do doc, shirts can be bought... I would say health cant be but in this day and age with medical bills' He chuckled lightly. He turned hearing Edward coming back up the stairs, it was going to be good to get his arm sorted and supported. Though he couldnt help but grin at Carlisle's comments to Edward. It was obvious to both dads that there was more then a simple friendship between their children.

Resting on the bottom part of the bannister, she began twirling a piece of hair around her fingers, one hand still resting on the wooden end post of the bannister, looking down at the carpet beneath her feet before she looked up to the landing where she was expecting Edward to reappear any moment. She let out a slow sigh as she waited, tilting her head, eyes wandering to other parts of the ceiling as she waited. She refocused on Edward as he appeared, leaning over the bannister. She smiled up at Edward, starting to move up the stairs as he asked why she had her brother's shirts anyway. “It was going to be a present for helping me out,” she informed. It was true. She'd bought the shirt for Dorian for helping her find a few things for school, but, now she honestly thought about it more, she figured it would fit Edward much better and it was just nice that it was actually Edward's favourite colour. Well, it was his favourite colour, if he was telling the truth about that little fact. “I think it'd be more fitting for you,” she went on.
She chewed on her lip as she walked up the rest of the stairs. Dorian and Edward, on surface value, sure looked about the same size to her. Then again, she'd never been fantastic at judging things like that. It was one of those things she didn't normally do. The fact she'd bought Dorian an expensive shirt had been the best thing fashion wise she thought she'd ever done. She really wasn't the fancy clothes kind of girl that people may think she was. She was more into comfort clothes. “Dorian's a little more James Bond,” she added in explanation to her 'fitting' comment with a soft chuckle as she brushed passed Edward to her room, having reached the top of the stairs moments before and now crossing the landing to her room. She pushed open the door to her room, turning to Edward. “You coming?” she questioned before disappearing into her room to find the shirt. 'Thank god this place is tidy,' she thought to herself as she looked around. 'Now, where was it?' she thought, chewing on her lip and scowling as she looked around the room.
It had to be somewhere at hand because she was going to visit Dorian soon. She brushed a hand through her hair, before throwing her headband onto her dressing table. She pulled at the buttons on her coat and shrugged it off, placing it over the back of her chair. She brushed both of her hands back through her hair now. “Oh,” she outburst suddenly, remembering where the shirt was. She moved over to her bed, bending down and pulling up the cover to reach under the bed. Back to the door, she couldn't hear if Edward had moved at all, but she carried on feeling around for the bag with the shirt. Her fingers finally touched plastic and tried to grip it. 'I hope this fits now,' she thought. The whole shirt conversation would have been pointless if it didn't. When she couldn't get a grip on the bag, she dropped down to lie on her front and reach under the bed at a better angle. “Stupid thing,” she muttered under her breath. She hadn't even had a hold of it before. The other bad had had some of her own new clothes in.

Carlisle nodded slowly when Jason commented on the 'drama'. “From time to time, things get a little more...complicated than we'd like,” he said. “Every family has that now and again though, right?” he questioned with a soft smile. He shouldn't have mentioned it. He tried to maintain his soft smile as he shrugged when Jason asked if he thought the drama might be a problem for either of their families. “I'd like to hope not,” he said softly, trying to sound as genuine as he felt like being about the topic. He really did like to hope not. Even if the Rentons had shape shifter backgrounds, neither Jason nor Damienne were shifters and Edward seemed to happy. Well, happier than he would have imagined considering the events on the last few days. “Well, I'm sure you were, but I don't think Damienne would appreciate it too much,” he replied, laughing lightly. Jason was dealing with this all too well. Carlisle also noticed how much more aware Jason was becoming and felt like he should have kept his mouth shut before because Jason was now adding everything up.
He nodded when Jason offered a more serious response to Carlisle's initial question. He picked up the scissors and ran them up the sleeve of the broken arm, from the cuff right up to the collar, so all that Jason had to do was slip it off of his good arm. He put the scissors back on the side. He was distracted from that track over conversation when Edward replied to his teasing. He didn't think he'd react well and he had been right from the start. Carlisle smirked at Edward as the boy seemed albeit a little displeased by his reaction to his son's behaviour, saying he didn't have any idea what he was talking about. “Sure you don't,” he replied simply, still smiling. He was kind of liking this teasing parent role. He didn't get to play that role with his family being relatively well established already. “I'll call for you both when we're ready,” he said quickly before Edward left the room, shutting the door behind him as he had instructed. He turned back to Jason. “Kids,” he chuckled. He could sense Edward's irritation, but he was still amused by the way Edward was being around this girl. It was sort of endearing as well to see someone finally spark this sort of reaction from him.

Edward growled, he was glad his father was finding the situation amusing because he certainly wasnt. He should have known Carlisle would act this way, after all her knew he had been very withdrawn as of late. Then again this was one reason he had only wanted Alice to meet Damienne, he wouldnt be able to hide it from her... But now he was going to be the laughing stock of the Cullen family... God he wasnt looking forward to Emmett finding out. Though he was sure Esme would be happy.. And Rosalie... Well she would be herself...
He seemed to be doing well in making Damienne feel uncomfortable. 'Really? Whys that?' Not that he was going to say no to another shirt, though Damienne seemed to really think this shirt would look better on him. He smirked when she said Dorian was more James Bond 'You saying I'm not suave and charming miss Damienne?' Those honey coloured eyes looked into hers again as she brushed past him and entered her room. Her scent wafting over him aain like some sort of drug. He moved to follow her into her room and cursed himself, he was sure Carlisle would be having a ball over that comment he just made... This girl was screwing with him big time.
He raised his eyebrow as he saw Damienne rooting around under the bed, he gathered she was looking for the shirt, he chuckled lightly 'Here let me...' He kneeled down and shuffled onto his stomach reaching under for the bag. Being in such a confined space with Damienne's scent all around him made his throat burn. He hadnt even fed the day before thanks to Alices little diversion and he was finding it harder and harder... Damn could he really put Damienne in this much danger? He reached out for the bag Damienne was trying to reached and grasped it easily with his longer arms, he looked over to her and suddenly realised he was a hell of a lot closer to Damiennes face then he had expected...
He smirked a little awkwardly looking into her eyes 'Sorry... Thought I might be able to reach it better...' He could almost feel the heat from her skin, though he didnt want to touch her, and her scent was overpowering. A thousand thoughts ran through his mind in that moment, some more human than others which made Edward curse himself. He was snapped out of his moment as he heard a stiffled giggle followed by a thought from Alice. He gritted his teeth and pushed himself out from under the bed bringing the bag out with him turning round and letting out a snarl at Alice who was standing by the doorway giggling at him. 'NOT funny Alice...' It was the kind of situation he wanted his family knowing about, he was sure Carlisle was probably laughing at what he had heard.

Alice took Damiennes bag and made sure the car was locked before heading back to the house. She could hear the rather serious conversation going on upstairs... By her guess Jason was starting to put things together... She only hoped Carlisle would be able to control the sitaution. As she entered the house she looked around, Damienne and Edward had gone upstairs so she guessed she should tag along. The smell of the blood burned her throat and she took a breath hoping she wouldnt need to breath too much... She really didnt want to go psycho vampire infront of Edwards new girlfriend. Thats the last thing they all needed right now, plus Alice was feeling bad enough for causing so much trouble over the past few days.
Alice bounced lightly up the stairs and used her senses to assess where everyone was. Carlisle was in the first room with Jason... Edward and Damienne was in the next. She skipped to the door and was greeted with two pairs of legs sticking out from under the bed. Alice burst into giggles seeing the scene a song playing through her head... Edward and Damienne sitting in a tree... K-I-S-S-I-N-G' She knew it would get a reaction out of edward and sure enough soon he was standing infront of her not looking all too happy What??? I didnt say anything...' She pouted innocently with those puppy dog eyes that she knew Edward couldnt get angry at. 'Busted...'
She winked lightly to Edward as she skipped over putting Damiennes bag on the bed as she looked around 'Nice room Damienne!' She sat down gracefully and continued looking round, she had never been into another humans room before, it was so different to her own room at home.

Jason nodded to Carlisle's remark about families being complicated every now and then 'Some more so than others though right?' He sighed slightly, if Carlisle was going to slip up it was going to be tought 'Not that it all matters... As long as their a happy' A distant smile reached across his lips, after all if Damienne was happy then he was happy. He wished for nothing more than for her to be happy and to grow up well 'Not that Tobias would care about her happiness' He sighed and shook his head 'Perhaps its in the genes' His voice was saddened. The shapeshifter gene had cost him so much, sometimes he wished the thing never existed, that way he would still have his wife, his family that he loved so much.
He smiled 'Yet again Doc I think your right... She probably wouldnt...' He slipped the blood soaked shirt off his good arm and let it drop to the floor. He gritted his teeth, the pain in his arm was really starting to get to him. He chuckled at the exchange between Carlisle and Edward 'You wouldnt think they only met today would you?' Edward certainly had an affect on Damienne, then again from looking at him and Carlisle he could imagine any girl would feel the same way... He chuckled 'Kids indeed' He gave him a wink, good to see that Carlisle seemed as happy as he did about the situation.
