Fae had been having trouble sleeping since being at the Cullen's, she had been waking with nightmares. Thankfully either Rosalie or Esme had always been able to calm her down, no matter what hour she awoke. The dreams had been of her father, but also this time she saw a woman peering into the house, looking for something. It didnt frighten Fae as much, it wasnt her daddy so she wasnt scared. She had awoken at 11am, once she had finally drifted off to a dreamless sleep at around 5am. When she awoke she jumped off from the bed and heading straight to the dress that was hung up on the door. Alice and Rosalie had helped her pick up the prettiest pink princess dress that she could ever have dreamed of. She really liked Alice, and Rosalie, she liked all of the Angels, but Rosalie was being like a mother to her and it made her feel special.
Alice had also picked up some more clothes, including some PJs which she was currently wearing. She tip toed out of her room looking around, not knowing who was going to be around. She chewed nervously on her lip as she stepped slowly down the steps. Fae had never gotten up this late before, but the events of the day before had been so exhausting that she obviously really needed it. She peered round into the living room as she heard the familiar voice of Alice, giggling slightly as she saw pink ribbons adornned the room... Alice had obviously been very bust that morning...
She smilied timidly as Alice turned to her, going all red and shy. All these pretty ribbons were for her. She reached out her arms as Alice scooped her up, Jasper was also there. She hadnt spoken much to him... He seemed a little scary to her, before she knew it Alice had whisked her to the kitchen for Fruity Pebbles and orange juice, which she happily munched on whilst Alice returned to the living room. This was so different from life with her father, she really liked it.

Alice had been busy all night trying to make sure things were perfect. She had heard Fae wake up several times screaming during the night, but Rosalie and Esme took care of that whilst she plotted and planned. She had made a cake already with as much pink icing she could manage... She had been shopping in the evening after Rosalie had taken fae and the dress back home. She had dragged Jasper into helping to wrap all the presents and currently she was putting up more streamers. 'No Jasper... It needs to be higher!' She chirped as he half heartedly lifted it up a little higher. She heard Fae stir upstairs and she smiled, she had slept in very late, it had given her time to go totally overboard with everything...
As Fae stepped in the room she span round and skipped over to her lightly scooping her up in her arms. She didnt really want Fae getting too close and cuddly with Jasper at the moment, she knew it was tough enough having the little girl living with them. She bounced lightly into the kitchen placeing her on the counter as she poured some orange and breakfast for her. Once she was settled she skipped back to Jasper looking to him, everytime she saw him she cringed. The new scar that shined on his throat was clearly visible to her and she would forever live with the fact that she was the one who inflicted it.
She skipped over lightly, not getting too close, knowing she had Faes scent around her, she was hoping he wouldnt react though. 'Jazzy... Your gonna be okay with this?' She felt so guilty, not just for attacking him, but for leaving him alone the night before. She knew this was going to be so hard for him. Not only with Fae around, but with Damienne coming too. She moved slowly closer to him, she wished she could express just how sorry she really was... but that wouldnt be possibly.

Jasper had had to force himself to be still when Alice had finally pulled herself away from the little human girl. He had spent the entire time from when Carlisle had pulled up to the house with Fae, pacing up and down in his room. It was rather unsettling that she wanted to spend so much time with Fae, but it showed that Alice had adapted quicker than she would have imagined and certainly quicker than Jasper would have been able to adjust. Thankfully, it had been Rosalie and Esme that had taken the time over the night to watch over Fae, so that gave Jasper time alone with Alice. He imagined the next day would be a lot more difficult to contend with. According to Alice's rather enthusiastic explanation, Edward had invited Damienne, a new and very human friend of his and, well, Alice's too. He wondered if he had been the last to know about that little encounter as well. He pushed those thoughts aside. Alice was happy. Edward was happy. Everyone seemed to be happy. He couldn't just bring down that mood. It wouldn't be fair.
Jasper had changed during the night, making himself look freshly presentable again. Alice had dragged him downstairs to help wrap presents and hang streamers. He was standing on a step ladder, lifting another streamer for Alice as she directed him. He couldn't help, but feel a little out of touch with all this. It reached eleven the next morning and his anxiousness began once more. The little girl was awake. Thankfully, he had his back to Alice and Fae as he closed his eyes and grimaced, his throat burning, though not in the uncontrollable manner he had imagined it would. He opened his eyes, glancing at Alice as she took Fae into the kitchen to get her breakfast. He fixed the streamer in place finally as Alice returned, feeling her eyes on his neck again. He should have warn a different shirt. He lowered himself off of the step ladder, folding it up and leaning it against the wall as she approached him, staying a little way away from him. “I'm fine right now. Might change when Edward's date turns up,” he jested with a smirk.

She knew having Fae around the house was going to be difficult on Jasper, though it was difficult on her too. Ever since that night human blood had become a lot more tempting to her. She remembered the feeling she had latched onto Jasper neck... Drinking the blood... She shuddered and pushed the thought from her head as she looked into his eyes. She knew he didnt want her to feel guilty about it all, but she didnt have the choice. She attacked him, she would never be able to forgive herself for that. 'It'll get better... right?' She wasnt totally sure what she meant by that, but she felt scarily distant from Jasper since it all happened.
She smirked a little when Jasper mentioned Damienne... She had heard Edward escape the house the night before and she knew where he was heading. He still wasnt back yet, enjoying himself too much perhaps? 'Damienne's nice, I think you'll like her...' She wasnt sure how Rosalie would take it though, she knew Esme was totally excited by the idea of meeting her. Edward hadnt thought about skipping town again yet, perhaps the guilt kept him there. Alice didnt want him to leave.
She stepped a little closer to Jasper again, her eyes flickered down to his neck again before she forced herself to look back to his eyes... Even they betrayed the events of that dreadful night. She felt like she had been so irrisponsible just abandoning him the night before. 'Will be interesting to see how Rosalie reacts though...' She chuckled a little, though she knew it was all going to be a little tense. She watched Jasper, she had an urge to hug him so tight and never let him go, it was so unlike her, but she needed the comfort.

Jasper watched Alice closely as she shuddered. He could feel her guilt. She was still feeling guilty about what she did to him, but she had reacted exactly how he had wanted her to, without him having to force her into something. He wasn't angry with her and he wished she would stop feeling guilty. He couldn't put up with a guilty Alice for the rest of eternity. “Is that a question or a statement?” he asked with a soft smile. “I was rather hoping you'd tell me,” he added, still smiling gently. He was glad when she finally found a smile when he had mentioned Edward's guest for the day. It was going to be interesting to see how he was. He sounded completely smitten with her, but Jasper couldn't be sure if that was Alice's telling or not. He certainly seemed at least just a little bit happier with himself. That was a good start on getting everyone to stop feeling guilty or pent up. It was starting to drive him a little bit crazy. He felt like he himself was bottling up something, but he was trying to keep a clear head.
He smiled back at Alice as she spoke. “I'll take your word for it,” he replied gently, wanting to step closer to her, but unable to tell if he would be able to control himself if he got closer to the smell of human on her. Esme and Alice did seem excited about it, Carlisle too. Edward had disappeared the night before, presumably to see Damienne, but he hadn't come back. Maybe he had made the smart move, getting out of the pink fluffy chaos holdings that was the Cullen house. He held his breath as Alice stepped closer. He lowered his head slightly to focus on her eyes, hiding the fresh scar on his throat from Alice's gaze. He smirked. “Isn't it always interesting to see how Rosalie reacts?” he questioned, still smiling. “I think she'll be distracted with Fae, to be hoenst, but you never now,” he went on. Stopping his breath, he stepped closer to Alice, closing the gap between them. He placed his hands on either side of her face, pressing his forehead against hers, focusing his eyes on hers. “We're going to be fine,” he whispered softly.

Alice sighed gently, why couldnt things go back to normal? She hated the way she felt, she had never felt unsure about anything in her life before.'I really dont know anymore...' She didnt know how Jasper managed to smile at a time like this. He was always so strong for her, even though she just felt like giving up, he was always there to make sure she stayed afloat. Then again Alice had been coping rather well with the events in the house, with Fae and Damienne... Especially after the incident with Damienne's father. However she knew Jasper was struggling more, hence why Alice was being slow to approach him again.
She was excited about Damienne being there, Alice had enjoyed her company and she liked how happy she made Edward. She knew it was tough on Edward, even through the tough bits Alice had Jasper and Carlisle had Esme. She only hoped it all ended well. Damienne's future dangled in the wind at the moment and there was a lot of uncertainty in her future. 'I hope so... You know how, well odd Rosalie can get. Especially when it comes to Edward...' Rosalie's reactions to Edward had always been rather strange... Alice had a suspision it had something to do with the fact Edward didnt seem interested in him.
Alice sighed out of habit as their foreheads touched, she looked sadly into his eyes. 'I hope so Jazzy... I cant see anything and it scares me...' Alice was used to seeing their future, but her visions had been so random as of late. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, Jaspers scent calmed her thoughts, he was always there for her. After what felt like forever she pulled herself away smiling to him 'There is still so much to do Jazzy... More ribbons... and balloons!!!' She giggled lightly and turned to the big box still filled with decorations for the party.

Jasper watched Alice closely as she sighed. Recent events clearly still bothered her. There were very, very recent though, so that was understandable. At least she wasn't lingering on something that happened forever ago like Edward could. He reached a hand up to her face, running the backs of his fingers down her cheek as she spoke. She wasn't sure. That wasn't like Alice. He let out his own gentle sigh as he searched her eyes. “You will...give it time,” he said softly and encouragingly. She would get her 'sight' back in no time, now that she was on the mend surely. She probably didn't like the idea that human blood had helped to fix her, but he personally couldn't care and was just happy to have Alice resembling her usual self, even if she was still reeling from the experience. She was his grounding and he needed her to be as normal as any vampire could be. They relied on one another a lot. If one faltered, the other was sure to follow. At this point, Jasper couldn't tell who had fallen first.
He smiled gently as he watched Alice. She at least felt excited, which had to be a good sign right. This Damienne girl had his partial vote already. If she was keeping Alice entertained and happy, she couldn't be that bad a person. By the sounds of things, she was even keeping Edward entertained, which kept him focused on something else for a change. He chuckled lightly at her slightly worried words about Rosalie. Rosalie was a little strange around girls and Edward. Despite having Rosalie, Jasper felt that Rosalie still held a small candle for Edward, if not an underlying resentment for him having had no interest in her in the way she had hoped he would have so long ago. “If she's not distracted by Fae and she's not nice to Damienne, I'll find something to get her out of the way,” he offered with a knowing smile. He could easily distract Rosalie if he put his mind to it and it was clearly important to Alice that Damienne felt comfortable here. There was no need to throw a bitchy Rosalie at her.
His own forehead pressed against Alice's, he felt her emotions magnify slightly, the physical contact allowing the emotions to be clearer in his own head. He kept his eyes fixed on hers. “You might not be able to see anything right now, but you're still on the mend,” he began softly, grabbing both of her hands in each of his own. “Don't be scared. I always be there,” he added in encouragement. If she couldn't see anything right now, that encourage him into the plans he had for when all of this blew over and calmed down. This was possibly the only time in the history of him and Alice that he might actually be able to genuinely surprise her with something. He let his head fall slightly as Alice moved away from him. He pulled his hands away from hers as well, tucking them neatly into his pockets. He raised an eyebrow as she spoke, turning to the big box of decorations. “And on that note, I think I'll have to politely step out...I'm gonna need to eat...” he said softly. He ran a hand down Alice's cheek, catching her eyes for a moment before turning and leaving on a hunt.

Alice had never been uncertain of anything in her life, but she was now. She had never been through such an experience and she didnt care to do it again. It pained her that she was bringing such worry to the household, she was normally the one making the place feel light and care free, she felt now that she was dragging everyone down. She closed her eyes and sighed as she felt Jaspers fingers run down the side of her face, Jasper was her strength in this time when everything seemed to be trying to make her crumble and fall. He was so brave and caring, she hadnt meant to hurt him, to almost kill him. She knew that he understood that, but that didnt matter to her, she knew Jasper would forgive her the most terrible of crimes, but she could never forgive herself. 'Perhaps...' Well Jasper believed in her, that was something at least. She just couldnt see how all of this was going to end well, and that was the problem, she could only see bad things ahead.
Alice was excited about seeing Damienne again, she was slightly irritated that she had to stop Edward from doing something really stupid. She knew he had been pissed off with her on the phone, but she also knew after he would have been thankful. She didnt really want her brother eating her future best friend... Also it wouldnt do the family any good if Edward got in the Rentons bad books, it would start a war and that was the last thing they needed. Alice chuckled lightly as Jasper said he would find a way to handle Rosalie if she started causing problems. 'Rather you than me on that one... Damienne needs to feel welcome here.' She sighed slightly, not only did she want her to be comfortable because she was her friend, but also because if she realised they were nice people then learning the truth from Edward might not cause her to run from him. That was the last thing she wanted, she wanted the rest of her family to be happy, even if she was struggling with that emotion herself.
The touch of Jaspers skin against hers was reassuring, though looking into those reddened eyes unsettled her slightly, though she tried not to show it. They were her Jazzy's eyes, her saviour, her strength and her love. She let her fingers entwine with his as he said he would always be there for her, she knew he wasnt lying, Jasper was her life as she was his. They were a pair and to remove one would be to destroy the other. She knew this, though she was having so much trouble seeing her self worth at the moment. 'I know Jazzy... I dont want to be scared...' She wanted to be normal, she wanted things to go back to how they were before the headaches and the drama. As she turned to the party stuff she smiled, it was something to concentrate on... Something to give her some purpose and to distract her from the events. She pouted her bottom lip at Jasper as he said he needed to go hunting. She knew he would need it if he was going to be around Fae and Damienne all day. 'Take Emmett with you too... I think he need a break from Rosalie and Fae.' She giggled slightly, poor man was now dealing with an overly broody partner over something that to him smelt like lunch. She turned back to the decorations as he left and started to blow up more balloons, this party was going to do the family some real good... At least she hoped so.

Fae sat happily at the counter munching on the cereal that Alice had given her. She was still really tired from her nightmares, she had always had nightmares, she thought maybe it would change now she was with the angels but obviously that wasnt the case. Everytime she woke though there was always an angel to comfort her, whether it had been Rosalie, or the one called Esme. She missed her mommy, but at the same time she felt so safe and at home here. Fae didnt mind that the Angel Jasper kept his distance, although she was rather attached to the Angel Carlisle she still had a fear of the other men around her. She was excited about her party, she had seen all the pretty decorations that Alice had put up, she had never had a party before and Carlisle had kept his promise so far. As she gulped down her orange juice she looked to the table, there was a sheet of paper there and her pencil. She reached over and started to sketch.
One thing she really loved about the Angels was they let her do whatever she wanted. She loved drawing and she didnt get much chance to do that at her fathers house. She chewed lightly on her lip, it was nice not having to worry about her father coming in and seeing what she was doing. She worked quickly, she could hear Alice and Jasper talking in the next room. She liked Alice, there was something wonderful about Alice, the way she move and spoke, just like a fairy in a fairytale. She had sensed a sadness in her though, the kind of sadness her mommy had when she was alive. Deep and sorrowful, it made Fae sad to think that a beautiful Angel like Alice could be so sad. She wished she could help her smile again, but then again she had never been able to make her mommy smile for long... Not with her daddy being around.
As the picture took form she looked at it and frowned slightly, she didnt recognise the face she had drawn, perhaps it was from a dream? She looked so pretty, but she wasnt one of the Angels that she had met. She put the picture to one side and looked up as she saw Jasper leave, she tilted her head slightly, she didnt understand him, he was the most distant out of all of them. His eyes were very different too, they scared her a little, but Alice loved him, she could see that. That meant he couldnt be a bad person. She sighed lightly as she finished her orange, everything had happened so fast...

Edward had spent the night holding Damienne and watching over her... She didnt have another nightmare, though whether that was because he was there or not he wasnt sure. He had managed to sneak out of her room once she was awake and before the others were to creat the illusion he had slept downstairs all night.Though he was probably sure that Dorian had smelt him all over Damienne's room. He told Damienne that she was welcome to dress round their house, since he was sure the party wouldnt be starting right away once they got there. It would give them the chance to get out of the house sooner... He said his goodbyes to Damiennes family as he headed to the car, flinging his backpack in the back of the car and waiting for Damienne. Once she was in the car he pulled off towards the Cullens house. He could feel the tension... He was scared of introducing her to his family, he wasnt really sure how this was going to turn out.
Once he was far enough away from the house he put his foot down weaving in and out of the small windy roads towards his house. 'Fae's only been living with us a few days... She might say some rather odd things, but shes been through a lot.' He frowned slightly, Carlisle had taken the time to talk to him about the circumstances that lead to Fae living with them. It made Edward feel sick knowing there were people out there that could do such horrible things to a child 'She is under the impression we are 'Angels'...So dont be suprised if she asks if you are one' He smirked to her, though she was very wrong on that part, they were far from Angels. He himself hadnt spent much time with Fae, he left that to Rosalie, Alice and Esme. They all doted on her so he was happy to step back and let them take charge. That plus her thoughts bothered him, she had experienced things that no person, let a lone a child should ever have gone through.
It didnt take long before he was pulling into the drive of their house, parking the car out front and hopping out and opening Damiennes door for her. From what he could gather Fae and Alice were downstairs, Esme and Carlisle were upstairs still and the house was lacking Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett. 'Here we are...' He welcomed as he opened the door to the house. 'Alice?' He called, knowing all too well where she was. The place was even more pink than it was before, he shuddered at the thought as he took Damiennes coat, hanging it up with his. 'Well... This is home...' He trailed off a little, feeling awkward and also terrified at what the next few hours were going to bring.

Once Jasper had left Alice finished putting up a few more decorations before moving to the kitchen to check on Fae 'Hey Fae... You finished your breakfast?' He chirped as she skipped lightly into the room, she picked up the empty bowl and glass slipping them into the sink and washing them, leaving them to dry on the side. It was nice having Fae around, it helped Alice forget all the things that had happened over the past few days. She turned back to Fae and noticed the paper, she smiled and skipped over 'What you drawing there Fae?' Alice had seen the pictures that Fae had drawn of Carlisle and Rosalie, they were amazing, so life like. There was no doubt that Fae had some real talent there.
She slipped in on the stool beside her and picked up the piece of paper smiling to her, though her smile faded a little as she saw who the picture was of. She looked to Fae 'Fae... Where have you seen this person?' She asked softly, trying not to let her her shock show. There was no mistaking who the picture was of, but Alice was fairly certain that Fae had never met Damienne... Perhaps she did know her and Alice was missing something, though it would have been a huge coincidence surely... She looked to Fae and smiled, not wanting to upset her 'This is Damienne... Your going to meet her today... Though before we do we need to get you into your dress!' She giggled and picked Fae up in her arms, still holding the picture in her hand. She was spooked by it, but she was sure there was a reasonable explination for it all.
Alice bounded up the stairs, hearing a car approaching a smile spread across her lips. Edward was back with Damienne. She took Fae to her new room and closed the door, putting the drawing down and taking her dress and placing it on the bed. 'You ready for your Princess Make over?' She grinned and giggled as she danced about the room getting out the makeup, hair brushes, hair bands and ribbons. She knew Fae was going to have a great day. Alice was excited about seeing Damienne again, but she would let her get he barings before going down and saying hi. After all Fae needed her attention for now.

Post by Damienne F. Renton on Oct 14, 2009 18:50:06 GMT
Damienne had actually slept better last night than she had the night before...besides the nightmare and waking up screaming Edward's name. However, he'd been there for her and had stayed with her for the rest of the night as far as she knew. Once she was awake, he had disappeared downstairs as she got ready, having come to the understanding that she would change into her 'pink' outfit at his house. He clearly wanted to get home. That, and he needed to be out of her room once everyone else started to make their appearances as the morning progressed. She packed her party outfit into a bag once she was dressed and ready, pulling on a random coat. She jogged down the stairs, smiling at Edward who was waiting there for her with his own bag. She scowled slightly. He'd not gotten changed himself. Maybe that was why he wanted to get home. She kissed her nephew goodbye, quickly hugging her dad and shouted and waved to Dorian and Sabrina bickering in the kitchen.
She followed Edward out of the house, watching him through his bag into the back of his waiting car. She ran down the last few steps and moved to the passenger side, letting herself in and settling into the seat, shoving her bag in the foot well as she pulled on her seatbelt. She looked to Edward as they pulled away from the house. There was definitely an atmosphere and they had barely spoken since she had woken up. “Are you as nervous as I am?” she wondered aloud, still watching Edward. It was his family, but she would be able to understand if he was nervous about her meeting them. She was nervous about him meeting hers and was even more so nervous about meeting the rest of Edward's family that she hadn't met yet. She looked out of the window as she felt Edward put his foot down. She had to say the engine sounded nicer at a higher speed, more like a purr than an engine noise. She let out a slow breath before looking to Edward as he spoke again. She nodded slowly as he explained a few things about Fae.
She smiled softly when Edward said that she may refer to the family as 'angels' and that she shouldn't be surprised if she was asked if she was one too. “What should I tell her if she does ask?” she asked softly. She didn't want to lie to the little girl, but if it were easier to, then she would. Otherwise, she'd be in the same boat as Fae it would seem: thinking the Cullens to be 'angels' of a sort. She reached across, running her fingertips down the back of Edward's hand, the one that was closer to her, of course. She was here for Edward now. That was one of the tasks for the day, not that she really minded at all if it meant she got to spend more time with him. She drew her hand back to herself, letting him focus on the road. She watched the trees flying past. So he lived sort of 'out of town' too. She grabbed her bag as Edward helped her out of the car. She followed him up to the house, looking around in awe. It was a lot nicer than her house that was for sure. She took a step closer to Edward as he called for Alice, still looking around. She felt, sort of, out of place now.
She shrugged out of her coat, letting Edward take that and hang it with his. She looked around, letting out a soft breath when Edward spoke. 'Home? It's like a gallery or something...' she thought as she bit her lip. “It's nice...a lot nicer than mine,” she said with a nervous laugh. She was half expecting Alice to come bounding down the stairs and straight towards her. She continued to chew on her lip. Now she was here, the nerves were especially worse. She thought they may have subsided a little, especially since there seemed to be no one around yet, but no, she had to have the worst case of butterflies possible, didn't she? “Where is everyone?” she asked conversationally, stepping closer to Edward again, lifting a hand to rest it on his arm. Perhaps they'd all had the same idea to go out all at once. She understood that Carlisle was busy, so he may be at the hospital. As for the others, she assumed Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie were at the school as well, but there was no school today. She mentally shook herself. Now, she was over thinking where everyone was.

Edward looked to Damienne for a moment as she asked if he was as nervous as she was 'More so...' He chuckled a little before looking back to the road. So much could go wrong today, it really was going to be a real test for all of his family. He only hoped they could all pull it off and not leave Damienne thinking they were not human. It would be tough, they were all used to being themselves at home and it was going to take all their will power to act human for at least another day in the week. Edward concentrated on the road, though he didnt really need to, he had so much going on in his mind that he wanted to focus on one thing only and at the moment it was driving. He knew that Damienne was nervous too, though not as nervous as she would have been if she had known the truth about them.
Edward considered her question 'Carlisle has been trying to discourage the whole Angel calling thing, but she calls us Angels anyway.' He sighed slightly, he would probably have to explain a little more. 'Carlisle found her in the woods, clinging to her mothers body...' His voice went quiet as he explained 'Apparently her mother had been killed by her father, and she clung to Carlisle believing him to be an Angel who had come to take her mother away to heaven.' Of course Carlisle was nothing close to what Fae thought. 'Carlisle brought her home to live with us whilst the police investigate what happened with her mother. The police wanted to take her but she seems to have a fear of men... and police and clung to Carlisle.' He sighed gently 'So its a little complicated....' It was a heavy thing to hear, but she needed to understand at least a little before she got there.
He chuckled a little looking at Damiennes awe as she saw the house 'Its not much... but its home' He teased slightly, though his nerves probably showed through a little. He chuckled a little as she said it was a lot nicer than hers 'I think yours is more... Homely...' It was true, her house was lived in, where as the Cullens barely lived in their house, it was as Damienne put it, more like a gallery. He rested a hand gently on her shoulder 'Dont worry Alice isnt going to jump out of a cuboard at you... Shes upstairs with Fae' He chuckled gently, hoping she would relax a little. He walked into the living room and stood awkwardly in the centre with his hands in his pockets a little unsure of what to do. 'Here let me take your things...' He took her bag from her.
It looked like the family wasnt quite ready for the party yet, which made him relax slightly 'Here you can get dressed in my room, it has a bathroom attached. He lead her upstairs to his room, opening the door and putting her bag down on the floor. There wasnt much to his room really, he walked over to his cuboard and opened it pulling out a 3 piece suit, trousers, waistcoat and dark shirt to wear at the party. He pointed to the door leading off his room 'Thats the bathroom... you can have a shower if you like... Make yourself at home.' He smiled, he needed to change, his clothes were covered in Damiennes scent and the others would pick up on that... There was too much on there to just justify being in her company.

Damienne felt oddly reassured when Edward said he was more nervous than she was. She let out a sharp breath and smiled at him. That was certainly a relief to know she wasn't the only one nervous about this little impending introduction. She felt her jaw drop slightly as Edward tried to explain Fae to him. 'Carlisle found her in the woods, clinging to her mother's body...' Edward's words echoed in her head as he continued to speak. She could still hear what he was saying, but she was more focused on that statement in particular. Would Carlisle have saved her if he had found her with her mother ten years ago? She scowled, focusing as hard as she good on her hands that were twisted together in her lap. She swallowed. This was why she didn't talk about her own mother too much. She withdrew a sharp breath before lifting her head to look at Edward when he finished speaking. “I understand...” she said softly, nodding slowly. She understood perhaps a little more than Edward realised.
She continued to try and take in everything around her. “Not much?” she repeated in a slightly disbelieving voice, shaking her head a little. She wrinkled up her nose as she looked at him when she called her house 'homely'. “Yeah, but this is like...” she began to reply, looking around again. “I could so live here,” she commented without thinking. She, of course, meant it in the way of it was a house she'd happily call home had it been the one her dad had found back in December...not in the way of she already wanted to live with Edward. She didn't have that urge. She felt herself relax a little as Edward placed a hand on her shoulder, saying Alice wasn't going to jump out at her. That made her feel a little better at least. She laughed slightly at his words before following him into the living room, yet another awe inspiring sight. She refocused on him when he offered to take her back, reluctantly handing it over to him. 'And he thinks he's not considerate...' she thought with a smile.
She followed him up the stairs, trying to keep her eyes looking around as opposed to watching Edward walk up the stairs in front of her. 'Behave...' she scolded herself. Edward had been right last night. Today was going to be a long day. She continued to follow him into his room, looking around as he placed her bag on the floor and went to his closet. There was so much music in different format all around the room and an impressive stereo. She felt her jaw drop slightly as she stepped further into the room to look around at all the random items he had lying around. “You like music then?” she asked in a slight daze. Her attention was drawn back to Edward as she notice him getting out a three piece suit. She chewed on her lip. The outfit she was wearing wasn't THAT nice. It had been the only pink she seemed to own. Even if she'd had something better, Edward would no doubt look a million times better anyway. She followed his hand when he pointed to another door, explaining that was the bathroom.
She bit her lip, twirling her hair around her fingers. “Oh, right...” she said, a slight sound of shock in her voice. She hadn't expected that. She thought he would have wanted a shower as seen as it was his bathroom. She did appreciate it though, considering she had just fallen back to sleep after her stupid nightmare and didn't have time to shower this morning. She moved to where Edward had left her bag, reaching down to pick it up. She turned back to Edward with a smile. She swallowed before marching across the room to his side. She quickly reached up, pressing her lips against his cheek. “Thank you,” she whispered before quickly turning and going into the bathroom, securing the door behind her. She was thanking him for a whole number of things in that one instance. The decision to march right up to him had been somewhat thwarted by her chickening out and simply kissing his cheek, but it was a start. She quickly found a towel before undressing quickly and jumping into the shower.
She closed her eyes as the water hit her face. She suddenly felt very relaxed here in Edward's house. She'd been there only a few minutes and here she was stealing his shower. She washed herself quickly, focusing more on cleaning her hair like she always did, twirling the curls around her fingers as she rubbed the conditioner in. She wanted to get this over and done with as soon as possible, so that she could be back with Edward. She was rather looking forward to seeing how he looked in a three piece suit as well. She smiled to herself as she finished in the shower, jumping out and grabbing the towel, wrapping it around her. She opened her bag, finding her hair brush. She ran it through her hair a few times before drying herself off, bunching her hair up into her towel afterwards and redressing into her new outfit. She left her shoes on the floor under the sink as she tugged at the dress, making sure it was sat right. She put on the few piece of jewellery she had picked and framed her eyes with a little black eye liner and mascara.
Finally, she pinned up her still wet hair, swirling it all up into an elegant up do, the ends sticking out in all directions around her head. She smirked at herself in the mirror. 'If anything, Alice will like it,' she told herself with a short giggle. The plus side of the style was that it was held up with two long pins, so if it wasn't liked, it was easily taken out. It was just easier for it to be out of the way as it dried. She looked down at herself, twisting one foot slight to check her shoes. They were only little heels on them and she felt like Alice wouldn't like the idea that she didn't wear proper heels. She shook off the idea with a slight scowl before putting her foot flat again. She packed her other clothes into her bag before picking it up and shuffling out of the bathroom, eyes cast down. She didn't know if Edward was still getting changed. She placed her bag down on the floor where it had been before, being careful because of the length of the dress. “What do you think?” she asked nervously, still looking at the toes of her shoes.

Fae looked up as Alice came skipping into the room, seeing Alice always seemed to make her smile. She nodded vigorously when she asked if she had finished her breakfast, one thing was for certain, the Angels never let her go hungry. She had been used to getting food only when her father felt like giving her some, since they had run away it was whenever her mom had felt safe going into town, which hadnt been often. 'Thankyou Alice' She giggled and smiled shyly as Alice took the bowl and glass and washed them in the large kitchen sink. 'A picture... of a person' She said looking at the picture again, she didnt know who it was and it made her frown as she tried her hardest to think where she had seen that face before. However she kept coming up blank and it really started to bother her.
She looked to Alice as she sat down next to her, taking the paper from her looking at it. 'I dont know...' She bit her lip, chewing on it nervously, thinking she had done something wrong 'I've never seen her before...' She smilied timidly back as Alice smiled to her, it seemed that Alice did know that person. She thought for a moment as she said the name 'Damienne...' She let the name roll off her tongue 'Angel Edwards friend?' She had heard the name mentioned before and she had heard Alice mention the name to Edward last night before he had gone out. She looked to Alice and nodded grinning as she said they needed to get her into her dress. She reached out her arms as Alice swooped her up and she giggled with her as she headed up the stairs to her new room.
Fae nodded as Alice asked if she was ready for her make over, clambering down from her arms and starting to take of her PJs so she could put on her dress. She could feel the butterflies in her tummy as she watched Alice dance about the room getting everything ready for her. She skipped over and sat on the bed whilst she got everything out, this was going to be her first birthday party and she was so excited. Though she was still really sad that her mommy wouldnt be there to enjoy it all with her. Still she knew she would have a great day, everything had been great since she arrived at the Angels house.
