Alice nodded slowly as Fae asked if she was Edwards friend... Fae hadnt been with them long but she was picking things up very quickly, they really had to be careful around her. She had heard as Edward and Damienne entered the house and as she busied herself getting Fae dressed and ready for the party. She dressed her, brushed her hair, clipping it back away from her face and applying some pretty make up for her. Alice worked quickly, knowing all too well that little kids didnt like sitting in one place too long. Once she was satisfied that that Fae was all ready she knelt down gently and smiled to her taking a small wrapped box from her pocket and handing it to Fae 'I know we are saving presents until later... but you can have this one now' She smiled to her'Happy Birthday Fae' She kissed her gently on the forehead before winking gently to her. 'You can open it now... I am just going to check on Edward k?' She asked gently as she stood and turned to leave the room.
They had all thought long and hard about presents for Fae, she knew Carlisle was pretty keen to get her a small necklace with the Cullen crest on it, Rosalie had been pretty keen on the idea too, so she had left that for them to sort out. She had bought Fae a charm bracelet with a small crystal pink heart hanging from it, she was certain she was going to love it. She had heard Edward pass the door and he was using the spare shower, she skipped lightly to his room, Damienne was in his shower, she giggled slightly and waited in the doorway as she heard Damienne move towards the door and open it. She watched as she came shuffling out the bathroom, obviously assuming Edward was still there 'You look perfect!' She giggle and skipped to her side flinging her arms around her in a welcoming hug.
She looked round as Edward made an appearance and poked her tongue out to him lightly 'I hope Edward didnt annoy you too much last night...' She looked to Edward with a meaningful glare, 'And sorry about having to steal him' She giggled gently, she was sure Edward would have blamed his little hunt on Alice... She was so happy to have Damienne there, she was sure everything was going to be just fine, it was going to be a great party and it was a great excuse for Alice to forget everything about the past few days... Plus she would get to talk to Damienne a bit more on more positive things rather than having to distract her from her injured father.

After he had explained Faes situation Edward felt immediately guilty. He hadnt asked much about her mother... Infact it made him realise how little he actually knew about Damienne. 'I'm sorry Damienne...' He seemed to spend a lot of time saying the wrong thing and apologising a lot afterwards. He wondered what would have happened if the Cullens had been around at that time, seeing her thoughts, perhaps Damienne would have been in Faes situation... Would she have been happier? He shook the thought from his head, he didnt want to think about that right now... What was in the past was in the past and there was little point in dwindling on it 'Its a difficult situation for all of us... But shes a sweet little girl' Of course he missed out the details on what Carlisle had found when they had got her home... The bruises and the abuse, no child should have to go through that.
Edward smiled and chuckled as Damienne looked around in shock saying that she could happily live there 'I am sure Carlisle and Esme will be pleased to know you like the house...' Esme was house proud, she loved decorating the house and she had been thrilled that she had a new room to decorate for Fae 'Esme loves decorating...' It wasnt uncommon to come back to the house to find Esme had re arranged something... They had all gotten used to it though, she didnt tend to touch their rooms without their permission though. He chuckled as she reluctantly handed over her bag 'Come on Damienne... taking your bag is hardly going to break my back or anything... Your in my home now... My rules.' He teased her lightly as she lead her upstairs to his room.
As he took her up the stairs he smirked at her thoughts, though he hoped she didnt pay too much attention to the walls, the graduation cap mural that Esme had created could be pretty hard to explain if she decided to ask questions about it. He tensed a little as he lead her into his room, it wasnt the tidiest of places, his journals were spread across the table... he had forgotten about those, and he kicked himself as he remembered the lack of a bed. He bent down and gathered up the books shoving them into a cuboard, knowing that she surely wouldnt be so rude as to read them if he put them away. He turned to her as she mentioned about his music... He ran a hand through his hair nervously 'Yeah... I guess you could say that.' He had quite a collection of CDs and Vinyls from over the years, sometimes he thought music was the only thing keeping him sane in this world.
He took out his suit and looked to her, she was biting her lip again which made him smile, she was so cute. There was always so much self doubt in her mind. He chuckled a little, she sounded so shocked about him letting her use his shower. 'I cant help but feel I rushed you a little this morning, take your time if you need it.' He smiled and was pleasently shocked as she marched across the room and kissed him on the cheek, he ran a finger down her cheek 'Your welcome' He whispered back before she turned and headed to the shower. He picked up his chosen clothes before heading out of the room and to one of the other free showers... He wanted to make sure he wasnt swimming in Damienne's scent, partially for Jaspers sake, though mainly for his own sake.
He heard Alice and Fae getting ready and he smirked lightly, Alice was having fun it seemed. He pushed open the door to the spare bathroom and undressed quickly before jumping into the shower, he threw his old clothes into an awaiting basket which he planned on seeing to himself... He didnt really want Esme questioning him about why his clothes were so heavily scented with Damiennes scent. He turned on the shower and let the cold water hit his skin, he sighed slightly as the water heated up, causing a soft mist to evaporate off his skin. He closed his eyes and thought about the previous night, he was stll angered by how much Tobias was interfering with Damiennes life, no doubt he would be talking to Carlisle... Perhaps they might be able to get something to help her sleep a little better. He allowed a growl to escape his lips, there was so much he wanted to do for Damienne, but he couldnt as it would risk her knowing the truth behind him.
He washed himself from head to toe with a musky scented soap and washed his hair before grabbing a towel and stepping out. Drying himself off quickly he started to dress, looking at himself in the mirror and trying to block out everyones thoughts around him. He looked smart, he was sure Alice would approve. He ran his fingers through his hair as he opened the door heading back to his room. He smirked a little, he wasnt suprised to hear that Alice had finally made an appearance... He stepped into his room and chuckled a little 'Alice is right... you look great...' A soft smile curled across his lips as he leaned gently on the doorway 'See Alice... I told you Damienne wouldnt dissapoint you...' He chuckled and winked gently to Damienne.

Damienne shook her head, making a slight noise of disgust as Edward apologised. “Don't...” she mumbled, reaching across and grabbing his hand. She kept getting him to apologise without even trying. He wasn't to know. She squeezed his hand slightly. “You weren't to know that'd upset me...you were just trying to make things clear,” she continued in a soft tone. She wished she could tell Edward why she was upset, but that would have meant telling him about the kind of family she really had and she wasn't ready for that yet. She smiled gently when he said it was difficult, but that Fae was a sweet little girl. “I'm sure she is,” she said, giving his hand another little squeeze before returning her hand to her lap. She would have it out with him eventually, when she was feeling brave. She wondered if she would sooner tell him that than actually kiss him. It was slightly an amusing thought, but, at the same time, a little sad. If she told him first, then he might not even want her around.
She nodded as Edward spoke about telling his parents about her liking the house. “I have no doubt that I'll probably tell them myself,” she said in a slight amused tone. They certainly had good taste, expensive taste at that. “Can she come over and do my room?” she questioned, still in the same amused tone. “In fact, she can do the house if she wants,” she added as she continued to look around. The Renton house was 'homely', but they hadn't really decorated it, more just moved their stuff in. She doubted it could look anything like the Cullen house though, however, the thought of it was nice. She shook her head slowly as she smiled at Edward when he spoke about taking her bag hardly being a hard task. His home, his rules. She sighed softly at his words. 'Great...he can do what he likes...why hadn't I thought of that at home?' she thought, having been so edgy yesterday about his visit. “What sort of rules would that be?” she questioned, teasing him back as she followed him.
She twisted her hair around her fingers as she followed him into his room and watching him as he bent to gather up a bunch of books, journals perhaps. She bit her lip a little. She'd only just started one and it seemed like he had one for every year of his life. She scanned the rows of CDs and vinyls, lightly running her fingers along some of the edges of the covers as she walked by. “And I thought I liked music...” she mumbled. Granted, she had a few vinyls still packed away, but nothing in comparison to how many Edward had. She had a lot of CDs as well, but still....nothing compared to how many he had. A lot more of her music was kept in digital format that, so that could explain away some of it. She smiled when he offered an explanation for letting her use his shower. “I did have a feeling you wanted to escape,” she teased, chuckling lightly. She too wanted to get out of the house, but more to get the introductions all over at done with at the Cullen's, so the butterflies would subside a little.
She clenched her jaw slightly as she looked away from Edward as he ran a finger down his cheek. He seemed to be so darn good at this and she could barely kiss his cheek. She felt a shiver run down her spine as he whispered back to her. She would do it. She had to. Not because he'd done it, but because she just felt like she needed to be able to kiss him without him having to instigate everything. The shower allowed her to clear her mind a little, last night's nightmare almost completely forgotten because of Edward. Having shuffled back out of the bathroom cleaned and changed, she knew she should have looked up first. Alice's voice responded to her question, making her jump slightly. She gasped as the other girl threw her arms around her. “Ummm...thanks,” she offered in reply, hugging her awkwardly. Alice really was hyper today. She gasped slightly, stepping back from Alice when she heard Edward speak. So he'd got washed up and changed as well...he certainly scrubbed up nicer than he normally looked...'If that's even possible,' she joked to herself.
She smiled at him, eyes looking him up and down as quickly as she could bring herself to look at him. She bit her lip as she took in his appearance. He really did look great in that suit. Her smile broadened as Edward spoke about having told Alice about her not being a disappointment. 'It seems I can't disappoint anyone as far as he's concerned,' she thought, thankful she was already smiling, otherwise, she would have just smiled for no reason. She refocused on Alice for a brief moment as she spoke, but turned to look at Edward again as she expressed her hope about him not annoying her last night. She slowly shook her head. “No, there was no 'annoying'. He was a perfect gentleman,” she said before turning back to Alice again. The only 'annoying' thing was that she couldn't instigate anything herself without doubting herself and backing out, but that was hardly his fault. She shook her head. “Oh, silly, don't be. Stuff happens. I know that,” she offered with a smile and a shrug.

Edward sighed slightly lifting his hand off the gear stick and giving her hand a gentle squeeze back. It hurt him to know how badly she wanted to tell him everything, it hurt him more that eventually she would one day learn that he knew all along, and that he wasnt quite what she thought he was. 'I should have though...' Damienne hadnt thought about her mum around him, though she had more pressing things on her mind at the moment. He wondered how he should react when the time came for her to explain her family. Would he act shocked? Or would he take it in his stride. He found it ironic that she thought that he would be frightened away by the truth... Of course he knew exactly how she felt, except it was her that would be frightened of him. He returned his hand to the wheel as she let go of his hand, it would be nice for Fae to have some human company, not that she would really tell the difference. She was still too young to really understand what was going on... he was amused at the thought that Damienne thought that telling her past might be easier than bring up the courage to actually kiss him. It was enough to make a smirk spread across his mouth.
He chuckled gently as she said she would probably tell them herself and if Esme could do their home too. 'I am sure she wouldnt say no if you asked her...' He was sure she would jump at the chance to decorate their home, Esme was just that kind of person. She did tend to find excuses to suddenly redecorate rooms around the house. 'If there is anything we can do to help whilst your dads recovering then let us know... We would be happy to help in any way.' Keeping a good relationship between the Cullens and the Rentons was high priority, whether Damienne was involved or not. He chuckled as she asked what sort of rules they were. 'Hmmm... Rule one, you have to let me do what ever I can to make you feel at home here. He chuckled gently as she teased him.
He had left his room a mess, he reall should have tidied the night before, but he had been keen to get out of the house whilst he still could. With his many journals tucked away safely from view he turned his attention back to Damienne 'I listen to a lot... It helps drown out the boredom...' He ran his fingers through his hair nervously, he hadnt realised having her there in his room would be so nerve wrecking. 'If theres anything you like I can copy it for you...' His taste in music was more classical, but then again he never knew with Damienne. 'Yeah sorry about that... Thought it was best to get out of there before the teasing started...' That and he knew that Dorian was going to smell Edward all over Damiennes room and more importantly in her bed. He really didnt want to be there when he found out he had spent the night curled up to his little sister...
Edward shook his head slightly watching Alice around Damienne was rather cringe worthy. He couldnt help but feel sorry for Alice though, it was tough with her being the only one who didnt remember what it was like being human. He walked into his room and ducked into the bathroom for a second to splash his favoured cologne on himself before reappearing, slipping an arm around Damienne 'You imply that I am usually an annoyance Alice?' He smirked to her an poked his tongue back out at her. He looked to Damienne 'You ready to brave the ret of the family?' He questioned gently, he knew that Esme and Carlisle would appear once they were sure Damienne was settled in a little. Of course you already know Alice so I dont have to introduce her' He chuckled gently as he started to walk, steering her downstairs and to the living room.
As he stepped into the room he turned to Damienne 'Do you want anything to eat or drink?' Edwrd was trying to play the perfect host, and although he hadnt eaten anything he needed to make sure that Damienne wasnt hungry or thirsty. After all they had food in the house now for Fae, which was a bit of a god send in the trying to appear human front. He waved to the couch indicating for Damienne to sit down 'I'm sure the rest of the family will be making an appearence soon' He chuckled gently standing awkwardly in the centre of the room.

Damienne closed her eyes for a moment when Edward took his hand off of the gear stick to squeeze her hand back. “No, you shouldn't,” she began, letting out a soft sigh. “But you will...when I'm ready to tell you...” she admitted in a low tone, a scowl shaping her features as she said it. She would have to tell him eventually now. She had made it clear that there was something to tell. She would have happily held his hand for the rest of the journey, but she thought that wasn't exactly safe when he was trying to drive. She shook her head slightly when Edward said Esme wouldn't mind if she asked. “We couldn't afford it,” she said, distracted by her surroundings still. They could afford a few flashy things, but generally, they just nicely got by. It was easier now it was just her and her dad. “Oh, no, no. I'm sure we'll be fine,” she insisted to Edward's offer of help whilst her dad was recovering. “But thanks anyway,” she added quickly. She knew he was just trying to be nice, but she didn't want to keep asking things of him and his family.
She swallowed, twirling a piece of hair around her fingers as Edward told her about his number one rule. “Is that the only rule?” she questioned, trying to bypass the urge blush or say something stupid. She laughed lightly when he said that music helped to drown out the boredom. “Oh, I totally get that,” she replied with a smile. She really did. She'd spent all of her time out of class, but in school, prior to Edward's arrival, with her earphones in and her music on full blast. She smiled at Edward when he offered to copy any she wanted. “Thanks,” she said softly, tilting her head to read some of the more classical choice. She didn't have a lot of these, but she did appreciate it well enough. It just wasn't good for drowning out the rest of the school, so she'd kept that side of her at home. There was plenty that she could see that she knew she didn't have. She refocused on Edward as he spoke again. She shrugged. “You saved us. I think I can forgive you,” she replied with a smirk and wink.
She looked down at her shoes, twisting a foot as Edward disappeared into his bathroom. She really didn't like being able to see her bare legs. 'Please let me not embarrass myself...' she thought. Dresses weren't really her forte even though she did have a few in her wardrobe. She was happier in her jeans. She gasped slightly as she felt Edward's arm wrap around her. She bit her lip, twisting her hair around her fingers nervously. She was so on edge and she couldn't even properly explain why. She wanted to be there. She inhaled, smelling a new smell coming from Edward. 'Cologne...?' she thought quickly to herself. It made him smell even better than before and now she didn't have to be right up against him to smell it. She swallowed as subtly as she could as she watched Alice and Edward tease one another. She pulled a slight face at his question, raising an eyebrow for a second. “No...” she admitted softly, eyeing him for a moment. He certainly didn't seem that nervous anymore.
She laughed nervously when Edward joked about her already knowing Alice before leading her downstairs. Was she really ready for this? She believed that her answer to his question had been completely honest: no, she wasn't really ready for this, she was nervous as hell. She slowly shook her head when he asked if she wanted anything to eat or drink. She was too nervous. The butterflies would surely make her be physically sick and not just feel that way if she tried to eat or drink anything. She got like that sometimes, not a lot, just sometimes, and it seems today's events was one of those times. She honestly just wanted to spend her time hidden behind Edward. She wasn't the best person he could have brought into their home, especially when she was nervous. She laughed nervously again as he gestured for her to sit, saying the his family would appear soon. That didn't really help her nerves any as she perched on the edge of the couch, hands clasped together, chewing on her lip as she looked around.
She refocused on Edward as he stood awkwardly in the middle of the room. Maybe he was still nervous. “Are you sure this was a good idea?” she questioned softly. She wasn't looking to upset or offend him. She was just dreading the idea of his family meeting her and then being disappointed or totally dislike her or something. That would be just her luck: the family of the first guy she'd actually taken a real interest in ever didn't like her. Yeah, that would be a great thing to happen. She looked away quickly, focusing down on her hands that were twined together in her lap. She twisted the ring on her forefinger around a couple of times before straightening it again and reaching up to fiddling with a loose piece of hair. “You're making me even more nervous standing there,” she admitted. Now she was just being a wreck. She would totally understand if they all disliked her now, even Edward. She really wasn't cut out for this. She wasn't brave at all. She just managed to cover it a lot normally.

Edward smiled gently to her as she said he would understand when she was ready to tell him 'In your own time...' He dreaded that time, he knew that if she told him the truth about her family he would need to tell her the truth about his. He wondered what she would think about him when she found out not only what he was, but that he had known about her all along... He shook the thought from her head, he had been doing that a lot lately, but it was the only way he could cope with the situation without running away from it all. He smirked a little as she thought about their safety whilst he drove, that was something she didnt have to worry about. Him crashing the car was about as likely as Emmett actually wearing a pink tutu to the party. 'I dont think that would stop her...' He chuckled gently, it wasnt like the Cullens couldnt afford to help decorate their house. 'I'm sure she'd be happy to have something to work on. Plus it might help with your dad being out of action for a bit...' He tensed a little at the thought, they did say they would help where possible and Esme wouldnt say no to going shopping and helping to decorate. He smirked a little and shrugged 'Well if you ever change your mind...'
He chuckled and shook his head 'I'm sure I'll let you know the others when they apply' He smirked a little, teasing her. Edward felt oddly tense having her there in his room and he nodded a little as she agreed with him. The amount of times he had drowned himself in his music when things seemed to get on top of him. Sometimes he would use the music to drown out his families thoughts from his head. Sometimes he hated his gift, though it could be useful he knew it was rather intrusive and respected his families privicy, as best he could anyway. He chuckled gently as she said that he had saved them from the situation. Though it was true he had saved them from the teasing he was being a little selfish and protecting himself from the trouble of explaining to Dorian why exactly he had spent the night in Damiennes bed... 'Well at least some good came of it then.' He smirked, though at the back of his mind he thought it might be a good idea to avoid Dorian for a bit...
When Damienne asked if he was sure this was a good idea he paused before replying 'No'. He wasnt sure at all, he was asking a lot from his family, they never had to act human at home but today because of Damienne they would have to. He was sure Rosalie wasnt going to be happy about it and he was sure she was going to show it in every way possible. He and Rosalie had always clashed, all because she couldnt get over the fact that he had never shown any interest in her, despite Carlisle hoping she would become his mate. 'Sorry...' He moved over to her and sat down, though he sat straight, stiff, not really wanting to be seen getting too comfy next to Damienne infront of the rest of the family. 'It'll be over before you know it' He chuckled gently quickly leaning forward and kissing her on the cheek before the rest of the family came into the room.

Damienne smiled softly when he replied to her words, offering up her own time in which to do it in. He wasn't going to rush her. She should have known he wasn't going to. He was more considerate than that. She did want to tell him, just not yet, not like this. She wasn't bound to spoil his day over this. He was nervous about this whole day with her meeting his family. He didn't have to be upset about what she would have to tell him eventually. She shook it out of her head. There was no point even thinking about it if she wasn't going to tell him yet. She glanced at Edward when he said the lack of money would hardly stop Esme. “I best keep my mouth shut then,” she joked, laughing nervously. She shrugged as Edward continued to talk. “I don't know...he can't be that bad for that long, right?” she questioned. She hoped her dad wouldn't be out of action for long. She knew how he could be when he was sat around doing nothing for ages. She smiled softly. “You'll be the first to know,” she replied softly. She felt she'd find herself talking to Edward more than anyone else now.
She laughed nervously again when Edward said that he would let her know of any other rules when they applied. She wasn't sure whether should be slightly scared by that. Judging by how much of a gracious host he was being, the 'rules' could be absolutely anything. She smirked when he said at least some good had come out of him rushing them out of her house this morning, even if it had culminated in her having to shower and change at his house. It delayed her embarrassment a little longer. She seriously wasn't liking the idea of wearing the dress, but she was going to have to brave up and wear the damn thing now. She curled her finger around the silver butterfly hanging from the chain around her neck, smiling nervously at Alice when Edward had slipped his arm around her and then directed her away and downstairs again. She felt nervous with Alice there and now it was just Edward again and the butterflies in her stomach were back with a vengeance. She felt at ease with Edward, but she was still nervous as hell.
She chewed her lip, dropping her head when he said he didn't think it was actually a good idea. “Maybe I should go...” she muttered sadly, still looking down at her hands in her lap. She had been looking forward to this, all apart from meeting Rosalie. He had made her sound like she would be very difficult about her being there and she wasn't sure she was ready for that, even with Edward by her side. She lifted her hands from her lap, wrapping them around herself slightly, one hand resting on her elbow, the other running up and down her opposite upper arm, feeling her nerves bubbling like crazy as Edward sat down and looked a little awkward. She half glanced to him as he spoke again, his chuckle causing her to sigh. At least he was trying to be positive about it. She bit her lip as he kissed her cheek, her skin tingling at the contact. She heard the voices of people returning to the house from outside and moving downstairs from the rest of the house. She couldn't just back out now.

Alice had simply beamed to Damienne as she stepped back from the hug 'Your welcome' She giggled lightly and turned round to Edward 'I never questioned that she would Eddie dear' She grinned teasing him gently. She was impressed that Damienne had found something pink at such short noticed. She gathered that pink wasnt normally a Damienne thing. She looked to Edward and raised an eyebrow as Damienne said he had been a perfect gentleman 'Oh really?' Hmm she knew that certainly wasnt the WHOLE truth, though she noticed a light scowl on Edward face, he obviously did need any reminders of what almost happened the night before. 'Oh you can certainly be an annoyance at times brother dear...' She poked out her tongue quickly pulling a face before giggling.
She looked to Damienne and smiled gently 'Yeah... We had a ribbon emergency'' She chuckled 'And Edward was the only one who would understand.' She pouted her little lip and twisted a finger through her way in her oh so cute puppy dog eyed way before giggling a little. 'Anyhow, I'll leave you two 'love birds' alone... Jazzy should be back soon and I gotta get his clothes out...' She giggled and waved before turning round and skipping out at to her room. She cringed a little as she entered, the memories of when she attacked Jasper were still strong in her mind. She was considering asking Carlisle if they could shift the rooms around a little... The mirror that she had smashed had been taken away but not yet replaced and she felt a tingle of dread down her spine every time she noticed it wasnt there.
She moved to the cupboards taking out a clean shirt for Jasper before shaking her head and replacing it with another that buttoned up slightly higher to save her the shame of having to see that scar... She laid the clothes neatly on the bed, she closed her eyes and turned away looking out the window. She could hear movement in the forest around the house, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett were back. She knew that Jasper would come straight to her, she sighed gently and sat down continuing to look out into the trees. She needed to get it all out of her mind before she went down to the 'party'. She was sure that Jazzy would help calm her a little, he was very good at that...

Fae sat happily as Alice rushed around her, she giggled lightly as she was dressed and made up. She had never had this much attention before and she was loving it. She felt like a proper little princess... Once she was done she grinned and did a twirl infront of the mirror 'Thankyou Alice!' She watched as Alice knelt down and gave her a small present. Her jaw dropped and she took it in her hands, which were trembling. She had never recieved gifts from anyone but her mommy, and Alice had said there were more. She bit back tears and muttered a thankyou as Alice went off to talk to Edward. She moved over to her bed and sat down slowly running her fingers over the lovely wrapped present. She bit her lip not knowing whether she should open it... Well Alice said it was okay and she wouldnt want to upset her by not opening it...
She ran her fingers along the edge of the paper carefully ripping it open and gently removing the pretty pink ribbon Alice had wrapped around it. Inside was a small blue box, she had seen these kinds of boxes in those expensive jewelery shops. She pressed the clasped and opened it, gasping in awe as she saw the beautiful white gold charms bracelet... There was already a charm attached to it, a small heart. She beamed as she sat and stared, she was so lost that she jumped out of her skin as she heard Rosalie at the door 'Hey Kiddo...' Rosalie walked over to her and sat down on the bed next to her. She smiled and turned the box to show her 'Alice gave it to me... For my birthday...' She giggled a little as Rosalie took it from her and removed it from the box, gently taking her hand and putting it on her 'Its lovely... A perfect gift for a perfect little girl!' Rosalie beamed and reached down picking Fae up and heading downstairs to join the others.
As she entered the livingroom her nose scrunched up at the strong smell of dog... It wasnt as bad as if there was one there... Her eyes looked straight to Damienne... So it was her, she didnt know much about Damienne, Carlisle, Edward and Alice seemed reluctant to tell her much and now she realised why... Her eyes narrowed briefly before being jabbed sharply in the ribs by Emmett... 'Hello... I'm Rosalie, this is Fae...' Rosalie forced a smile before putting Fae down. Fae turned to Damienne and her eyes grew wide with recognision, she moved closer to Damienne, a soft blush across her cheeks as she curtsied and giggled. 'Hi... Your Angel Edwards lady friend arnt you?' She watched her closely, she reached out and touched Damiennes hand, expecting it to bed cold, like the others 'Your not an Angel though are you?' She tilted her head slightly watching her for a moment before smiling.

Carlisle had heard the familiar sounds of the engine of Edward's Volvo returning, but hadn't moved from his office in that moment. He closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. If Edward was back that meant Damienne was with him. Were they all really ready for not just one little human, but two humans in the house? He was glad that Edward had someone to keep him company, but there was no telling what Jasper would do, regardless of whether he returned fresh from a hunt. He had banned the younger vampire from leaving the house except for hunts and when he left he had to take at least one of the others with him. Today had been Emmett and Rosalie's turn to watch Jasper. He hated having to ask this of any of them, having to watch over Jasper like that, but, right now, it was for the best. They didn't want any accidents now, did they? He heard everyone moving around the house, smelling Esme come to the door of his office, briefly stepping inside to let him know she was going to join the others.
He didn't turn to her. He couldn't let her see his doubt. “I'll be down shortly. I just need to change,” he said, trying to sound encouraging. Once he was certain she was downstairs with the others, he got up and went to the room he shared with Esme. He changed quite slowly for him, not wishing to have to crowd poor Damienne any more than she already was. As he did the last button of his shirt, it occurred to him that perhaps she would prefer another familiar face in the room. He rolled his head on his neck, trying to relieve the tension that was starting to build up. He brushed a hand back through his hair before making his way downstairs. He forced a smile as he wrapped an arm around Esme's waist as he moved behind her. His eyes flickered around the others. Alice and Jasper had yet to come downstairs, he noted. He looked to Edward, holding his gaze for a moment before looking to Damienne with an encouraging smile. “Nice to see you again. I hope your father's keeping well,” he said courteously.
He noticed Emmett nudge Rosalie before wrapping an arm around her shoulder once she had put Fae down on the floor. At least someone else was trying to keep things in order. Emmett lifted a hand in a stilled sort of wave before quickly and simply saying “hi, I'm Emmett.” He was trying, a friendly smile on his face as he pulled Rosalie closer to him. Emmett clearly understood how Rosalie was going to be very difficult with Damienne around. Carlisle refocused on Damienne and then glanced down at Fae as she spoke to Damienne. He closed his eyes, letting out a soft sigh when she referred to them as 'angels' again. His eyes snapped open as she asked Damienne about not being one of them. Maybe Fae was understanding things better than he thought. He wondered how Damienne would be able to cope with that question. He glanced to Edward. Had he told Damienne about the situation they had going on with Fae? He looked back at Damienne, concern filtering through him as he watched her.

Esme had been worried about Fae all night, she had been waking up screaming, though it was to be expected. Thankfully they didnt sleep and either her or Rosalie had been on hand to calm her fears. It broke Esme's heart to see the little girl in such distress, she only hoped that things improved as time went on. Carlisle had told her of Edward's interest in this Damienne girl, Esme could hardly keep her joy to herself, though of course Carlisle had also told her the complications in this relationship. Things were never simple, finally Edward was happy, but it was going to come at a cost. Of course Esme was going to do everything within her power to make Damienne feel welcome in their family, she had noticed how Edward had changed, although he was still troubled by the recent events he had a slight spring in his step as of late. She only hoped it lasted...
She had been busying herself tidying and keeping herself out of the way of Alice's decorating rampage... She had noticed that Carlisle had been very thoughtful of late, she was sure he shared her concerns about Damienne, though Carlisle was the patriach of the family and he took his role very seriously. There were so many ifs and buts... So many things that could go wrong and if things went wrong for Edward and Damienne it would go wrong for all of them. She popped her head into his office 'Carlisle?' She sighed a little as he spoke, she knew her mate better than he thought, but she nodded 'Okay... Dont be too long... Love you.' She smiled and blew a kiss before ducking out and heading downstairs, she heard Alice in her room and she sighed slightly, things were tough in the household, a party was just what they needed.
As she entered the room she saw Rosalie, Emmett, Fae, Damienne and Edward were in the room. She stepped up to Damienne and smiled 'Hello Damienne... I'm Esme' She didnt want to intimidate the poor thing. The smell of shapeshifter was still about her, and her eyes darted to Rosalie for a moment before she stepped back giving her some space. She looked to Carlisle as he joined them and she kissed him gently on the cheek, she was sure Damienne would be glad seeing his familiar face. Her arm wrapped round her mates waist, now they were only waiting on Alice and Jasper. She watched as Fae went to say hello, she tensed slightly and looked to Carlisle as she refered to them all as Angels again... The poor thing, they really couldnt blame her. Children had such wonderful imaginations sometimes, a soft smile spread across her lips watching the small child, so innocent and unaware of the dangers that the world held.

Despite how much he had eaten, as he approached the house, the smell of human was already attacking his senses like crazy. Upon entering the house, he bolted straight upstairs, heading straight for his room as quickly as he could. Fae was with Rosalie and Damienne was with Edward. They were safe from him. He entered his room, shutting the door quickly and leaning against it, looking down at the floor for a moment. How could he face any of them like this? He lifted his eyes to Alice where she sat waiting for him. His eyes glanced at the shirt she had gotten out for him. He was honestly more comfortable as he was. “I can't do this,” he admitted as he looked at the floor again with a heavy set scowl. He had tried to build himself up, telling himself he could face this. Everyone else was around. They would keep him on a leash. They shouldn't have to keep him on a damn leash. He closed his eyes, still scowling, growling at himself. His former confidence had quickly dissipated as soon as he had come back towards the house.
He let out a slow breath, trying to not let the panic take over, not while Alice was still in the room. “What if I hurt somebody?” he questioned, kind of rhetorically, in a whisper, his eyes still clamped shut. He slowly opened his eyes, scowl still forming his expression. He still didn't lift his eyes to meet Alice's gaze. “I'd be back where I started...” he continued in whisper. He slowly slid down the door, so that he ended up sitting on the floor, his knees pulled up to his chest. “I'm afraid I'll hurt someone...” he admitted before taking a breath and looking to the ceiling, venom stinging his eyes like crazy. “I'm afraid I'll hurt everyone...” he continued, closing his eyes. “I'm afraid of me...” he admitted as his final point as he finally managed to meet Alice's gaze, the venom still stinging his eyes. He quickly stood, rushing across the room to her, falling to his knees in front of her and wrapping his arms around her. He buried his face into her neck, shaking his head slowly. “I can't be that person, Alice,” he mumbled.
Face tucked against her neck, he took in a deep breath, taking in her luscious smell with it. He let the breath out slowly, savouring the smell of Alice, his Alice. Her scent was like a wave of new calm for him, especially when he got this close. He took in and let out another deep breath of Alice. “I'm sorry...” he muttered gently into her ear as he lifted his head a little. “I know you need me today,” he began, moving his head back so that he could look her in the eyes. He slowly shook his head before continuing with, “but maybe it's not such a good idea.” He did want to meet Damienne. She'd given Edward something to focus on other than Alice and had given Alice someone new to talk to. He knew she was desperate for the company, a lot of people, if not everyone, from the school not giving her a chance because she was so 'weird'. She wasn't weird. She was Alice. There was a whole set of differences. He let out a sigh, knowing Alice wouldn't be happy with his choice. “If you really need me, I'll come down with you,” he offered.

Edward only hoped that Jason would recover quickly from his wounds, though Edward knew from the night before that he was putting up a brave face for Damienne, he was in a lot more pain than he was letting on. 'I certainly hope not, Jasons a tough one, I'm sure he'll be fine soon.' He smiled. Though that was as long as Tobias didnt go anywhere near him, but Edward was going to make sure he went no where near Jason, or Damienne. He was sure that he would stay away whilst Dorian was in town, however once he left there was no telling what he would do. He nodded slowly as she said he would be the first to know if she changed her mind 'Well thats good to know' He chuckled a little, he was sure the Cullen house was going to amaze her a little more before the day was out. Carlisle had picked the house very carefully, making sure they all had enough room, and then some.
He simply shook his head as Damienne said that perhaps she should go. No he had invited her and it was too late to back out now, after all they all knew she was here now... They would all be able to smell her and hear her so there was no turning back. 'It'll all be fine...' He smiled gently to her and briefly ran one of his hands over hers, he didnt want her to be nervous, though he knew it was bound to happen. He heard as the others returned from the hunting trip... Jasper had headed straight to his room, it didnt look good and his thoughts didnt bode well. He gritted his teeth slightly hoping for all their sakes, including Damienne's that he kept it all together. He watched as Rosalie and Fae came into the room followed by Esme, Carlisle and Emmett, so there was only Alice and Jasper left. A slight scowl left his lips as he saw Rosalies disgust at Damienne being there, but calmed slightly as Emmett gave her a poke.
The atmosphere in the room was so tense it could be cute with a knife, trust Fae to break the ice a little as she talked to Damienne, he noticed Carlisles tension when he she mentioned Angels, but gave him a reassuring nod to let him know Damienne already knew the situation. His hand reached out and gently rested a hand on Damienne's back, it was interesting how Fae could tell the difference between one of their kind and a human like her... He was guessing she had come to the conclusion from the fact that Damiennes skin wasnt hard, nor ice cold like theirs. He had to admit, Fae was cute... There was no denying it, he had noticed though how Alice and Rosalie had made sure her shoulders were covered by a pretty pink shawl... The bruises on her arms were rather distressing to see, it was sad to think this innocent child had been through such abuse at the hands of her father.

Damienne smiled at Edward's comforting words about his hopes and his idea of her father healing soon. She let out a sigh before simply saying “I hope so”. She laughed a little when Edward seemed to enjoy the idea of her letting him be the first to know if she changed her mind about his offer of help. He really would be the first to know. She didn't have anyone else she felt she could really confide in like Edward, though she'd not really shared as much as she really needed to get out of her system. She smiled gently at Alice's reply, watching both her and Edward back and forth slowly as they spoke. Alice was so comfortable teasing Edward. Even with how comfortable felt around Dorian, she never felt brave enough to tease him as much as Alice did with Edward. She continued to smile as she watch them. She glanced to Edward, scowling slightly when Alice seemed to disbelieve what she was saying. Had Edward actually told her what was going on? Then again, Damienne knew that Alice was quite perceptive. She should have known.
He'd not really done anything wrong as such, just something out of character as far as Damienne knew, but she hadn't really stopped him. Her scowl faded as she continued to watch Alice taunt Edward. She smiled again once Alice refocused her attention onto her. She laughed lightly when Alice explained the ribbon emergency and how Edward would have been the only one who would have understood. “I'm sure he's a pro with ribbon emergencies,” she joked, glancing at Edward. Alice's choice of words made her blush for a moment. She was really enjoying the idea of her and Edward, wasn't she? She shook it out of her mind as she watched Alice leave and was then lead away by Edward. She tensed as Edward shook his head, denying her suggestion of her leaving. He was damn confusing. He didn't think it was a good idea, but he didn't want her to leave. What was she supposed to do then? Normally, she would have just suffered in silence, but she didn't feel like she could here. Edward would see that something was wrong.
She didn't have much more time to think about it when the others from the house entered the room. She stood quickly as they entered, eyes flickering over all of them. They were all perfect looking, just like Edward. It was a little difficult to believe that they weren't all really relatives. She didn't see Alice in the group that formed and Jasper wasn't there either. She noticed Carlisle right away when he had appeared and Emmett was difficult to miss. The girl next to Emmett really didn't like her. That was obvious from a glance. She had to be Rosalie. The little girl...that had to be Fae. She nodded to Emmett as he introduced himself. The conversation she had had with Edward about him flashed through her mind, but was quickly forgotten again. The glares from Rosalie made it difficult to think about anything else. She managed a smile and a nod to Esme as she then introduced herself. Edward's mother. It was a little difficult to believe that Carlisle and Esme were really foster parents to all these teenagers.
She managed another smile as Rosalie introduced herself and the little girl as she put her down. So, she was saving face, being nice with the others being round...or was she just jumping to conclusions? Judging by the looks she had received from the girl when she had walked in, she wasn't really jumping to an conclusions about the other girl's true opinion of her. She felt a little better, a more natural smile curling around her lips as Carlisle appeared, smiling. She let out a soft sigh and nodded. “He's fine,” she replied gently, shrugging a little. “I can't imagine how he'd be without you,” she added, letting go of the pendant around her neck, her hand dropping to her side naturally. She looked down to Fae as the little girl approached her, smiling gently as she felt Edward's hand on her back and as she watched Fae curtsy and giggle. She was certainly a precious little girl. She could totally understand why they had taken her in. “That I am,” she replied softly when Fae questioned who she was. “I'm Damienne,” she introduced.
She tensed slightly as Fae reached out and touched her hand. She withdrew a short, subtle breath when Fae questioned her about not being an angel though. She slowly shook her head as she began her reply. “No, I'm not,” she said, sounding a touch disappointed, but that was more for Fae's sake. She wasn't supposed to be playing along with the 'angel' thing. She had decided that when Edward had told her about it. She understood entirely why Fae would think of them that way, but they didn't want it to go too far. She let out a soft sigh as she chose her words carefully in her head. “And the Cullens...they're just good people,” she continued, smiling gently. “They're looking out for you,” she went on, pausing for a moment. “They're looking out for me too,” she finished, the vague sound of pride in her voice as she glanced up at Edward for a moment. She wasn't sure if she was saying the right thing, but she hadn't said the word 'angel' once, so that had to be a start. She looked to Fae again and simply smiled.

Alice simply nodded as Damienne commented that she was sure Edward was a pro with ribbon emergencies 'He sure is!' She smirked lightly as she skipped off to her room. The thought of Edward finally being happy made Alice happy too. It had been too long since Edward had been at peace... Infact Alice had never seen Edward like this before, he really was a different person around Damienne and it made her sigh. The thought of having Damienne as not just a best friend, but as a new sister was a very welcomed thought for Alice. Though Alice knew how Edward felt about the whole taking someones soul from them, their future was rocky at the moment but Alice could only see one future for them that would make them both happy, well, mostly for Edward... Eventually at least. Edward would get over it eventually she was sure, and he wouldnt ever be alone again. Thats what Alice wanted for Edward, to never be alone, it pained her that she had Jasper and Edward used to have no one. Now he had someone and she only hoped it turned out for the best.
Alice continued to look out of the window as she heard Jasper come home and move quickly to their room. She didnt turn around as he quickly shut the door behind him. She sighed softly as she heard him talk, she could feel his uncertainty seeping through the room and it made her grit her teeth. If Jasper was unsure how could she be? She took in a deep breath, trying to keep her voice steady and calm for him 'You wont Jazzy...' She believed it with all her heart, after all she had seen some futures for Damienne and Fae beyond that day, and she was certain that if he chose to join the party that wouldnt change. She turned to look at him as he voiced his fears, of course Alice already knew his fears. They were always the same, he was always scared of being the weakest link in the Cullen family, always scared he would hurt a human and ruin everything Carlisle had built for them. Of course Alice knew he worried for nothing, she had every faith that he would never hurt anyone.
She was slightly startled as he moved to her side wrapping his arms around her and burying his face into her neck. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around him, she hated seeing Jasper like this, it was all her fault he felt like this. If it wasnt for her then he would never be doubting himself. 'You wont be that person Jazzy... I have faith in you...' She knew it wasnt much to offer him, after all what did her faith mean? She knew already that Carlisle had his doubts about Jasper being around humans at this time, hence why he wasnt back at school like she was. She closed her eyes and did as he did, savoured her mates scent. She felt as his uncertainty waivered and she gently ran a hand through his hair hoping to calm him further. These were trying times for them, but Alice was certain they would get through them, as long as they were together, they would get through it somehow.
She looked into his eyes and smiled gently 'You dont have to apologise... I understand.' It was true, she did understand how he felt, because she knew from her visions that if anyone was a danger right now... it was her, not him. She knew how it felt to not feel strong enough, she had been feeling it a lot lately, if it hadnt have been for Jasper she wouldnt be there right now... He was her strength. 'Jazzy... I know you can do this, I have faith in you, I know your not going to hurt anyone.' She searched his eyes, she didnt just want him to do this for her, she wanted him to do it for himself too. If he could do this, she knew he would see that he wasnt the monster he thought he was... 'I always need you Jazzy... you know that.' She whispered softly, it was true, she couldnt imagine not having him there with her. She didnt want to force him into doing something he really didnt want him to do, but all the same she didnt want to face Damienne and Fae alone.
