Bella was driving down the road to meet up at Jacobs house but then her truck started making some kind of weird noise. She knew it was a good thing she was on her way to Jacobs. So, that he could look at her truck. Since he was the one that gave it to her. She sighed heavily. Just great she'd have to wait around before her truck was fixed. But at least she got to hangout with Jacob while he worked on it. Bella grabbed her cell from her pocket and called her father while she drove. She made sure nothing was in the road and no one seemed to be driving today. Which was kind of strange. But good because then she'd get there sooner. She was almost to Jacobs. Her life had been somewhat depressing. She didn't quite know anyone like she knew Jacob. Bella had to admit that she was attracted to him in a way too. I mean they have been friends since they were little kids but that was a long time ago. They kind of had to go back and remake their friendship. Which was alright to her.
She had pulled into his driveway and saw the garage light on. She walked in and looked around. Where was he? "Jacob, where are you?" She said as she continuously looked around for him. Then she saw that he was under a car in the back with a tool on. Bella smiled as she quietly walked towards where he was. Bella got on her knees and touched his shoulder. Hopefully she hadn't freaked him out or scared him. "HEY JACOB!" She said as loud as she could.

Jacob knew that Bella would be visiting today. She had been adamant about coming down to the reservation to see him. This didn't mean that he could put everything on hold though. Whilst she wasn't there, he could surely get a few jobs done that needed to be done, then he would feel less guilty about leaving them when she arrived. He was really looking forward to the visit. Every one of his friends from La Push seemed to be going off in a little group where he didn't seem to be welcome. Bella was a welcome change from that. He found himself smiling slightly as he worked whenever he thought about her. She was a little bit older than he was, but that had never stopped them being kids when they were little and clearly wasn't putting either one of them off now as they rebuilt that. To try and distract himself, he decided it was time to work on the car that had been sat in the garage since yesterday. It had only been a day and it was only a little job. That would be easy.
He jacked up the car high enough for him to slide underneath on his rolling board, brandishing a wrench. Lying under the car, all he could hear were the revs of the air powered socket wrench echoing loudly in his ears. Only a few more bolt,' he thought to himself, then that would be another car that could go back to it's owner. It was nice everyone seemed to have faith in his ability to fix stuff up, but he couldn't be dead certain he'd get everything right all of the time. He felt something tap his shoulders, causing him to release the trigger on the wrench. The loud voice made him jerk to sick up and whack his head on the section of exhaust that was directly above his head. “Owww...” he shouted loudly before sliding himself out from under the car. “Hi...Bells,” he greeted slightly nervously, sounding a little irritated as well, still rubbing his head with one hand. “You did that on purpose,” he jested as he pulled himself the rest of the way out from under the car and got to his feet, wiping his hands on his jeans. He'd thankfully missed messing up his shirt.

Jacob had already knew that she was going to visit him. She was more than excited to see her best guy friend in La Push. Bella gave him his space too when he needed it. Whenever she needed to see him though she'd do it even if he was busy. But then she'd just let him get to what he had to take care of. Because she didn't want to get in the way of his things to do nor his life. She smiled as she thought about him. Bella had to admit she was forming somewhat of a crush on him already but who was to say if he felt the same way or not? She'd have to find out someway or another. School was such a hassle without him around. She'd rather talk to him all day then anyone else. Jake was just that cool friend that you could tell just about everything to and he wouldn't judge you nor hate you for what you thought or what your opinion was. He was understanding and she totally liked that about him. Of course her father and his father had been best friends since like childhood. So, her father already liked him. So, there really wasn't a big deal if they were to ever become an item as they would call it these days. Silly new words and meanings.
Bella watched him work on the vehicle for a while. She had sometimes sneaked in to where he couldn't see her, she'd watch him work on cars. He took his time and was delicate. Jake was also gentle and it was just fun to watch him do what he loved doing. Bella had to admit she'd sometimes break things on her truck just so she could see him fix them all over again. But she knew that he knew about that little scheme she had going on. He didn't seem to care either. Probably cause that just meant she liked what he was doing with his life and where he was going with it. It just eased her to see him work. Then when she said hi, the next thing you knew, he had hit his head. "Omg, I'm so sorry Jake. I didn't know you were going to hurt yourself. Are you okay?"
Bella rushed over to his side as she looked at his head. He seemed alright. She gently kissed his forehead and hoped he'd feel a little better. She stuck her tongue out at him. "I did not do that on purpose, Jake." Okay, so maybe she did a little bit but she didn't expect him to whack his head on the car either. Bella watched him get up off of the floor. "See, your alright. Your standing." She went over to him and gave him a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jacob had pull his long hair up into a ponytail to stop it getting trapped. That was the last thing he needed with Bella on the way: for him to get into some mess because of his hair. He'd have to cut it soon. He wasn't sure it was 'him' anymore. He would think about it for a little longer, then see if he changed his mind or not. Maybe he could talk to Bella about it...He stopped himself, scowling and shaking his head. Yeah because that wouldn't seem weird or anything...' he thought. He smiled once again as he thought about Bella. It was great now that she was back in Forks. He had missed her visits. He couldn't understand why she had given up on her visits to her father for so long and now she was back in Forks for...well...good as far as he knew or as far as anyone else seemed to know. Charlie had been so excited about her return. Jake hadn't heard the end of it when Charlie was getting more and more excited about it whenever the date would get nearer and he would spend time with his father.
He hadn't heard her arrive, so how was he supposed to know she'd greet him like that? He rubbed his head with his hand, pressing his palm against the sore spot. That was going to really hurt in the morning. 'You make me clumsy,' he thought quickly to himself as he glanced at Bella when she said she didn't know he was going to hurt himself. “I think...I'll be fine,” he said as he clamped his eyes shut as he winced for a moment. He was hard headed. He would live. He'd always hit his head and gotten himself into bother like this when he was younger. He'd live. He held still as she checked his head for him. He chewed on the inside of his lip as she kissed his forehead. This wasn't right. She shouldn't be as tall as he was. He shook the thought off, smiling at Bella's gesture. He chuckled lightly as she stuck her tongue out at him, insisting that she hadn't done it on purpose. “Yeah, yeah, you'll tell me anything,” he teased. He gasped slightly as she gave him a hug and kissed his cheek.
'What the hell is that all about?' he thought to himself, keeping his hands away from Bella's clean clothes. “Ummm, Bells, unless you really wanna get covered in oil, can this wait 'til I've at least washed my hands?” he questioned teasingly. He lifted his hands to where she could see them, waving them about slightly. They weren't terribly messy, but he wasn't going to get into trouble by leaving hand prints on her jacket or something. He wasn't that stupid. He wriggled out of her grip and made his way over to the sink. He let the water run really hot before washing his hands as quickly as he could. He turned off the tap and dried his hands off by running them up and down his denim covered thighs. Saved him the time of having to find the towel. “There, better, right?” he questioned, waving his hands before stretching his arms out for her. “Wanna try that again?” he asked with a grin. He was getting better at talking to Bella now that she was around a lot more. He'd always had a hard time getting the right words out with her.
