Once upon a time, eighteen long years ago, a baby girl was born to Paulina and Scott Riveira, a couple of newly weds who had both wanted a child for a while. They named her Skye Catori, an indian name, meaning "sky spirit" in honor of Scott's Quiliute heritage. The girl was raised very carefully, Scott always being very cautious whenever Skye asked him to tell her one of the Quiliute legends. But Scott didn't want his daughter to know of their wolf-ancestors, or the 'cold ones.'
