Bella climbed out of her truck as she looked up at the school she ran her fingers through her hair, started up the stairs toward the intimidating building it sucked transfering schools in the middle of spring semester but she'd learned half the stuff already at her old school. ''Isabella Swan Right? Eric Yorkie.'' The Black haired young man said as he caught up with her while she was looking at her schedual, walked with her to her 1st class. '' Just Bella.' She said rolling her eyes sometimes she hated her full name, especially when she had to tell everyone it was just Bella because she didn't use her full name alot it was on her birthcerticate and that was it.
She took her seat a few rows back from the front of the class, took out a spiral bound notebook that currently had nothing written in it as she wrote her name then dated the sheet of paper she started taking notes just to be safe.

Zavier had been in Forks for about a month now, though now he was happy to hear that he wasnt going to be the new boy any more. He was the one to arrive after the Cullens, so he had a lot of people talking about him... After all he was just like the Cullens, except he had to hide his eyes and they didnt. It seemed though that the Cullens werent really a social bunch, where as he had made an effort to 'fit in'. He didnt need the hassle of people thinking he was a freak like they were. He knew though they had their eyes on him, but he wasnt about to do anything foolish infront of a coven of vampires.
He had been the first to arrive to class and dumped his bag onto the chair next to him so he wouldnt get the flood of girls fighting to get the seat. He wasnt in the mood to have giggling girls all over him... Besides he actually liked his english classes, he had read all the books before so it was easy street for him. He watched as the class began to fill up and groaned a little as he realised the class was actually going to be full today. He yanked the bag off the seat and opened his notebook which was filled with detailed notes about the book they were studying.
He looked up as he felt someone sit next to him, he was a little suprised to see the new girl there. Though it seemed a few of the other girls didnt like the seating arrangement, he smiled warmly to her 'Hi there... you must be Miss Swan?' He extended his hand to greet her, as he shook her hand he pushed forth the emotion of friendiness with his gift. He knew his cold skin would suprise her, but it was the only way he could make his gift work.'Nice to see I'm not the new boy any more... I'm Zavier'

'' Bella, it's nice to meet you Zavier.'' Bella said as she continued taking notes on everything that was on the board noticing the copy of the book they were studding in front of her, as she placed a strand of hair behind her ear she looked at the prologue then smiled a little she'd already read it twice. She was taken back by the touch of his skin but ignored any thought to ask why his skin was so cold maybe he suffered from hypothermia or something or just bad circulation she didn't really feel like asking, although she noticed most of her female class mates staring at the back of his head she couldn't help but smile. He was rather good looking but she wasn't here to find a boyfriend she was here for school nothing else although so far she'd met Eric Yorkie who's last name reminded her of the dog breed, that made her laugh a little bit but not enough to draw attention to herself.
Bella tapped her pencil on the edge of her note book as she listened to the teacher not really trying to be annoying she was just really bored considering she'd learned half the stuff he was teaching already, it was really hard to concentrate when you had girls staring at the boy sitting next to you not that she minded. ''Take a picture it lasts longer.'' She thought as she sighed, ran her fingers through her hair playing with it debating on weather or not to pull it back then she finally let go as she let it fall around her shoulders. ''Do you know you have girls staring at you?'' Bella asked in a whisper so she didn't get into trouble it was bad enough she was the new girl, everyone suddenly knew who she was although her father was Police Chief swan so it wasn't exactly surprising.

As the teacher started his lecture about the symbolism of the characters relationships in the books Zavier looked down to the notepad and flipped to the back where he started sketching, he had a talent for art though that was just a natural thing, rather than his supernatural ones. He started sketching how he thought on of the characters in the book would look like. He had often wondered how the authors imagined their characters when they wrote the stories. He looked up a for a moment when he heard one of the girls near the back whispering about him under their breath, he smirked a little, he knew he was seen as the class hunk... The girls here were so jealous so easily it was unbelievable.
He nodded to Bella's question replying in a soft whisper'Yeah I am used to it... Though no doubt you will get some today too... It was far worse on my first day' He smirked a little remembering seeing the Cullens faces when they saw him. No doubt there would be a confrontation eventually, but he was happy to lie low and get them to make the first move.
He of course had heard all about Bella, he would have to be living in a hole in the middle of no where to not. He had seen and heard a lot about her father Charlie, he was well respected and liked within the community. This was probably one of the reasons he managed to catch a few of the boys looking over in Bellas direction... It seemed she was going to be the next flavour of the month and everyone wanted to be her best pal. He smiled, he loved a challenge. 'You might find it all a bit overwhelming at first... This place is so small everyone knows everything, your gonna get a hell of a lot of attention just for being the Chief of Polices daughter' He stopped whispering and looked down scribbling as the teacher turned round to look in their direction.

Bella was silent for a little bit as she tapped her pen against the paper she leaned back in her chair not meaning to lean back to far but she ended up hitting her head on an empty desk placing her hand on the back of her head she was impressed there wasn't any blood, she sat forward with a sigh still not saying anything but randomly muttering under her breath because now her head hurt. '' Yeah I'm sure.'' She said as she ran her fingers through her hair, finally decided to pull it back as she let tassels frame her face she bit her lower lip as she leaned forward once again but it took awhile for everything Zavier said to register. '' Oh right special attention just for being the police chief's daughter don't I feel privileged.'' Bella edged out sarcastically not really meaning to but that's how it came out, obviously she was quite outspoken not to mention easy going once you got to know her a little better.

The 'vacation' lasted longer than he expected it would. A brief respite that was only supposed to span a few days time stretched into several weeks, until it neared a month that he had been absent from Forks. Edward had told the others of his clan, his family, that the dreary rain and uninteresting (but safe they kindly reminded) life was driving him mad. Fearing a repeat of Edward's earlier rebelliousness the rest of the sent him on his way, shooing him to the Southern American island that Carlisle had purchased for Esme some time ago.
It was a veritable paradise, and, at first, it seemed it was exactly what Edward had needed. He spent many days basking in the sun, enjoying all that the wonders of the world below the equator had to offer without restrain based upon his immortality. He was free to walk the island in simply shorts, feeling the strangeness of sand beneath his toes. Warmth pouring into his ice-cold skin, the smells and sounds of the island all around him. Before long, however, he had found all the pleasure that he could in that get-away, and Forks loomed in the distance once more.
Flying in commercial jets had always been a challenge for Edward. At first they took getting accustomed to, because when he was born the thought of them hadn't even existed. That, however, was not the most pressing issue. Imagine, being a hungry vampire crammed into a long metal tube with one hundred and some beating hearts surrounding you. It would be enough to drive one mad. For someone of Edward's talent, it was even worse. One hundred and some odd thoughts all being thought within close enough proximity that Edward could perceive them. All. At once. At the same time as counting all of their heartbeats. It was the worst kind of torture.
Wanting to alleviate what stress he was able from his journey, a well fed Edward boarded the plane and planted his ear buds firmly in place, cranking the volume higher than most humans would be able to handle. Although it was not a perfect solution, it did help and within no time the plane was touching down in Seattle. The loyal shiny silver Volvo waited for it's owner patiently in the parking lot, chirping electronically when the locks were disengaged.
His plane had landed almost an hour later than it was supposed to, leaving Edward with little time to make it to school. For some reason he felt the need to be there today, to slide back into normalcy. To play the role of small town high school student once again. Little did Edward know, after this day, things wouldn't be normal in Forks ever again. He sped through the roads carefully, slowing whenever the thoughts of a cop with a radar gun began to make their way into his mind.
Luckily for the centurion, he had the foresight to leave his school books in the trunk of his car. Not that they ever left. It wasn't as if he needed to study for anything. In record time (though not for him) Edward arrived at Fork's High school, parking his Volvo in its normal spot (as no one had dared to take it). Grabbing his knapsack the vegetarian vampire jogged into the school, resisting the urge to run like he knew he could. Consulting the clock in the hallway, he realized that his English class was in session. Taking a left followed by a sharp right Edward found the door he needed and opened it quietly. He slid into an open seat in the back observing the classmates that were in the room.
There were two students he had never seen before, one of each gender, sitting next to one another toward the front of the room. While pretending to be attentive to his note taking Edward observed the duo in front of him, trying to discover whatever information he might.

Bella had heard the door creak open, her concentration went from her note writing to the person that had walked in taking a seat in the back. ''Who's that?'' She whispered to Zavier titling her head toward the amost empty table in the back of the class room her heart racing she knew Zavier would have an answer cause obviously he had one for basically everything, she didn't really like when people stared at the back of her head. Bella had always been a very private person her thoughts well they were basically off limits to anyone who tried to invade them, it was odd enough that Zavier had made her feel so comfortable when he'd introduced himself to her she had alot of questions.

Zavier had also looked up from his books when the door opened, his eyes watched Edward as he entered and a an inaudible growl escaped his throat. There was no mistaking the smell and the look of the vampire. He saw his golden eyes and knew from the whispers exactly who he was. He leaned slighlty towards Bella and whispered softly. 'Thats Edward Cullen... He and his family have been on holiday, they are a bit of an odd bunch, not very socialble so I hear.' He had never spoken to them so he didnt know much about them. Though Edwards presence in the class certainly put him on edge.
He knew very little about the Cullens, except that they were different to him, they were veggie vampires as he had heard it called. He was sure that the Cullens werent due back yet, perhaps he had gotten his dates mixed up. He knew that Edward was watching them but he tried to not let it bother him. He blinks lightly, he knew his contacts needed changing after the class and that irritated him a little. 'I am so glad its lunch after this' He chuckled softly, though he wondered if Edward was going to approach him... If he did he didnt want it to be whilst Bella was around 'After Class I'll meet you in the canteen if you like... I have something I need to deal with but I'll be glad to show you the ropes?' He smiled to her for a moment before returning to his notebook.

The class was boring as usual, and most of the students thoughts focused around how bored they were. Feeing much the same, Edward focused his attention on the two new students. The girl was attractive with long chestnut hair and delicate features. The boy was also something worth looking at, an ethereal beauty of sorts. Something familiar about him nagged at Edwards mind, but he was unable to place it.
As the girl spoke Edward turned all his attention to their conversation, amused for the millionth time by his eavesdropping abilities. Her curiosity made the corner of his mouth flick up in the smallest of smiles. He 'felt' for her thoughts, wanting to see what her first impression of him was, but he was entirely unable. Confused and frustrated he tried again, to no avail. Furrowing his brow in agitation Edward listened as the boy told the girl his impression of Edward. Not very sociable was the understatement of the millennia. Edward despised socializing with the high school students. Not only were most of them so wrapped up in their trivial lives, it was just too dangerous for Edward to get close to people that wasn't one of them.
Reading the thoughts of the boy was easy, but they caused alarm in Edward's mind. Somehow this other student knew what Edward was. The boy also knew that Edward was a “veggie vamp” among his kind, and that the boy was wearing contacts that were bothering him. The whole situation bothered Edward. He continued to watch, trying to figure out what was going on and what he was going to do about it.
