Character's Name: Jared Larson
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Category: Werewolf
Sub-Category: Sam’s pack
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Family:
Father: Jay (Deceased)
Mother: Ileana
Character History:
The son of two less than average Quileutes, Jared surprised everyone with how well he got on even from a child, he seemed destined for a more interesting path than either of the parents. When he was young he was a bit of an outcast due to his lineage. Legend had it that on his Fathers side there was no true Quileute blood (what you or I would call werewolf) for five generations and on his mothers side at least seven generations. Where his parents seemed less involved in the hierarchy goings on Jared chose even as an infant to become more involved. He built early friendships with Quil & Paul despite of his parents wishes.
Jared’s relationship with both parents was strained at best, his Father enjoyed simple pleasure and was quite anti social other than the occasional fishing trip. It still saddened Jared when his father past on when Jared was twelve. It was bad enough losing him but a lot of people elders seemed to crowd around Jared at that point, it went beyond sympathy but Jared could never quite put his finger on it. It was at that time Jacob Black seemed to take a much more vested interest in Jared, they had been acquaintances through Quil but suddenly they seemed thick as thieves. Again Jared didn’t read too deeply into this instead.
Not too long after this La Push seemed to be at a bit of a stir. A new Doctor had arrived at the hospital and the word was that he and his family were cold ones but very special cold ones. Jared had always liked the story involving the treaty, it seemed more pleasant than a lot of the violent and gruesome stories that were told around the campfire. The whispers had been going around for a while that things were going to start happening - whatever that meant. The interest the elders seemed to take in Jared and a few of the others became more and more obvious but Jared still chose to ride it out.
After further events La Push was once more in a stir. A new resident of Forks had arrived, the daughter of Chief Swan and it wasn’t too long after that Jared got to meet the cause of the uproar in the flesh. It wasn’t the girl that affected Jared but the effect she had on Jared’s now good friend Jake. He was a man obsessed. As much as Jared took pride in his Quileute heritage there was one thing he took no pride in. Their apparent obsession with what still seemed to Jared as the occult.
Character Appearance:
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Loyal
+ Brave
+ Easygoing
+ Natural human strength (before the transformation)
+ Cautious
- Can be childish
- Arrogant
- Insensitive at times
- Sometimes fails to seize the moment
- Chauvinistic
Personality:
Jared is very much typical of Quileute boys. From a young age he accepted the Quileute Way. Like most of the boys he didn’t buy into the scary stories but still found himself jealous of Quil & Jake at times. People looked up to them because of the blood that flowed through their veins. Still Jared never allowed this to make him bitter and managed to fall in line. As he grew older he grew closer to the other boys in La Push but his bravery and knack for voicing his thoughts in an insensitive fashion often meant his clashing with Paul.
The friendship was never spoiled by Paul’s fiery temper as Jared could take as good as he got plus Jared took each scrap in his stride and usually found it slightly amusing in retrospect. Outside of fighting Jared could be found to air on the side of caution too often. He would be the one to point out the downside of what Jake tended to call fun. Still he went along with each crazy plan in the end. Jared doesn’t take to new people as quickly as others & finds trusting outsiders.

It felt strange for Oz to wake up in a comfortable bed and not have to worry about checking out, or disturbing the nice people who had taken him in overnight. Yet that was the situation Oz found himself in. His Uncle Ken and Aunt Maureen had left Sunnydale but never managed to get their old house on the market. About time they got Jordy out of this hell-hole Oz thought. All hell was breaking loose in Sunnydale (again) this time was different somehow. Giles had told him as much but he needed to see for himself.
At that moment Oz was still wrapped like a cocoon in his duvet with just his head sticking out. He lazily rolled from his side to his back to look at the ceiling of the box-room/bedroom. This place feels more like home than… home Oz thought with what registered on the Oz scale as a huge smile. The ceiling was covered in posters of various rock bands with a Dingoes Ate My Baby poster as the centrepiece. "Good times"
Oz knew he really should get out of bed, another roll confirmed it. 12.35PM, best nights sleep Oz had ever had around the full moon since he had been bitten. Upon reflection that was not a good thing, the wolf in him was hiding! Ironic, werewolves were not known as creatures that ran away, Oz knew it was what all the clever people were doing. FOOD he thought the missing ingredient
Oz had a special way of getting out of bed when nobody was around it was called ‘keep the sheets around and roll out’. He used this method to perfection. He’d left his jeans and t-shirt from the night before by the bed, he gave them a quick smell test – they would do for today. He slipped his clothes on while still under the sheet, before heading downstairs and into the kitchen.
All the ingredients Oz would need for his world-renowned scrambled egg on toast were waiting for him. He thought for a second about a rasher of bacon, but that was perhaps a little too adventurous. As he cracked the eggs open and set the toaster away Oz thought about exactly why he had come back to Sunnydale.
Was it because of curiosity? Last time The First had been around Willow and Giles nearly died, Oz really didn’t want to see either of those guys perish. Granted last time he had seen Willow she was all dark and vein-y. Also something was up with Spike, Oz noticed that when he spent too long chained up in front of Spike. He asked Giles about it not so long ago Giles mentioned something about not having to worry about Spike much longer.
Was it to help? He could wolf out on cue these days, sure some of those ‘Potential’ people might get caught in the fray but he had enough control so that they would only be seriously maimed.
No the reason was simple – he’d ran out of money, he even sold his van. He got a good offer for it, a demon who was desperate to get out of Sunnydale. Uncle Ken’s place was there and since the town was abandoned it was easy to get free food. That was where he was going to head now, to the groceries store.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Oz really needed the food now, since his breakfast had turned to charcoal! "I blame the hellmouth" he said before putting on his jacket and walking towards the store
