It had been a strange few days for Marius, he hadn't been in Forks long and yet already he felt like he had been there for years. He had arrived looking for Carlisle and instead had found Amy. He had never dreamed that he could feel so close to a human, yet with Amy he felt he was happy to risk nearly everything. He had already taken risks by showing her the view of Forks from the tree tops... It had been worth every moment. Her scent intoxicated him in a way he never thought possible, though of course he was worried. What if everything went wrong? What if something bad happened and Amy was caught in the middle? Like Fleur? He pushed those thoughts aside however, he wanted to enjoy the time spent with her.
They had agreed to meet the next day in Port Angeles, Marius had skillfully avoided taking her out to lunch and offered to take her to the Cinema instead. It had been a very long time since Marius had indulged in going into a movie theater, however this time he had someone to share it with. He arrived at the cinema first and looked through the listings and smirked a little as he saw one film... Oh it was all too perfect. The film had been out a few weeks now and so it wasn't going to be overly busy and it was one of his favourite books. He queued up and smiled to the girl behind the counter asking for 2 tickets for 'Phantom of the Opera' before paying and going to the foyer to wait for Amy.
As Marius saw her enter he took in a deep breath, reminding himself of her scent. She really was just so perfect... How could no one else see how special she was? He smiled as she came over to him,'Mon Amour, I hope you don't mind... But I bought us tickets to see one of my favourite stories...' He handed her the tickets as he put an arm round her, drawing her close and kissing her forehead gently. 'Would you like a snack of some sort?' He offered, of course he wouldnt need it, but he was always the gentleman.

Amy had never been to a movie theater before, and honestly she didn’t know why she agreed to such things. But then it came to Marius, she seemed to agree with everything he suggested. Was this a bad thing? Was Amy falling for him so hard that she was being dependent on seeing him? She honestly could see what else she could be doing besides being with him. This was scaring her. She was still stuck on the idea that sooner or later he is going to realize her for who she really is and then will leave her. Maybe she was wrong, or she could be thinking on the right path. Either way she didn’t want to be thinking about that now. This was not the greatest thing to be thinking while you were going to met the person in which you were talking about.
While riding in her 96 Toyota Camry, she slightly continued with these thought. But now they had to go. She made it to the cinema. She drove into the parking lot and then pick a spot close to the cinema entrance but not at a position that it would be easy for another car to hit her. She got out of the car, and then walked through the cinema. She didn’t really spot Marius at first because there was a group of teenagers standing by the door. But once she seen someone smile, she knew that it was him. It would be impossible for her not to be able to spot him. “Alright” Amy smile giving him a hug. She didn’t really care what movie they saw as long as they were together. Damn, that whole dependent thing was kicking in again.
Amy had just ate before she left the house so she wasn’t all that hungry. “Uumm maybe sour patch kids?” she said thinking about her favorite candy. “But you don’t have to if you don’t want to.” she said automatically assuming that he was asking her on his treat. She looked around the theater. She felt like such a lame because she had never even been in one of these cinema’s. “So when does the movie start?” Amy said skeptical on the thought of being in a large room with a lot of noisy people. Marius smiled and nodded as she mentioned the candy she wanted, moving into the queue for the confectionary counter. Marius had been a few times to the cinema, generally it was curiousity that drew him, he had seen how far film had come since he was old enough to know what life without such things were like. Nowadays if there was a film he wanted to see he generally waited until it was on television. After all he had all the time in the world. Of course though Amy was a perfect reason to break this habit and go see something. He couldnt think of someone he would rather spend time with at the moment than Amy. Marius had spent a long time alone and it was a very welcome change, it a little scary.
Marius had never felt so attached to a human in his life, yet he had only known her a few days. He didn't know how such a thing was possible. He was both facinated and scared by it. At the back of his mind her knew nothing good could come from the relationship, he would never be able to give Amy the things she would want for her future. Deep down he knew that this was a bad idea, that he would only hurt her, but he wanted to be selfish... Just for a little while at least. As he reached the counter he ordered her sweet and handed over the money before slipping an arm gently around her waist and heading over to the screen 'I believe it starts in 20 minutes... Though they are letting people into the screen already...'
He walked with her into the screen moving up to their seats in the centre of the auditorium. 'I hope the film lives up to the wonderfully written story' He chuckled lightly, he loved the book, he loved all the old french classics, Phantom, Les Miserables, Hunchback of Notre Dame... They reminded him of home so much. He sighed a little, he wondered how different Paris really was now a days. He really needed to return one day, perhaps if Amy agreed to go with him... Maybe then he would have the courage to face his past...

Amy would have never imagined herself coming into a cinema, and honestly she still didn’t know who Marius managed to get her here. And this time, it wasn’t like her picked her up and dragged her here, she actually dragged herself here. What was she thinking now? Usually she wanted for it to come on TV. There was no rush, because most of them were not worth paying the money to see. Though if she really wanted to see them, she just brought them on DVD. Amy decided the reason she really came was because she wanted to be with Marius. Everything was so much fun in her life since he came around. He was just so sweet. Like the perfect man, though Amy really did have her great doubts about him, most of the time they were erased by the thoughts of his perfection.
Deep down inside Amy was really excited. Though coming to a movie wasn’t something Amy was really into, sharing her first experience with Marius was having this great feeling. She tried to hide the excited look that over took her face. She looked up at Marius as he wrapped his arm around his waist. She jumped forward a little as his hand cold hands hit a little of the exposed skin showing between her jeans and her shirt. She hated when her shirt rode up, but this top was too cute. “Sounds good.” she said. She wondered if she had ever mentioned to Marius that she had never been to a cinema before. She shrugged, and if she did, now he would just know again. “Did I ever tell you that this is my first time ever even stepping foot inside of a cinema?” she said, just thinking about how much of a lame she must have sounded like.
“There was a story?” Amy said surprised. If she loved the movie after it was done, she was sure that she was going to read the book. Though if she hated the screening, she was sure, no matter how much better the book was, that the book would never be the same. She hated that. That is why she always made sure she read the book before she seen the movies. Books were generally always better because their was more describing and your mind could go off in anyway in wanted. For a movie, what you saw was what you got. [/blockquote]

Marius frowned a little to himself as she jumped at the coldness of his skin, he really needed to be more careful around her. He knew that if he let too many things slip she would start asking questions. Marius looked to Amy a little shocked, he thought going to the cinema was something that all teenagers did these days. 'No mon amour... How come such a thing is true?' His tone was curious 'Then again mon amour, I imagine that unlike most our age you are a little more imaginative... I very rarely come myself.' He smiled to her gently, he was glad then that he would be sharing this moment with her, he only hoped she would enjoy the film.
He nodded slowly as she asked about the story. 'Yes, though as usual the film will be different... This particular version is based off the popular Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical. Tis certainly not exactly like the book, but certainly more poetic and true than the 'horror' movies they made of the story... It was never written as a horror story, but a story of forbidden love and sacrifice.' He smiled and put an arm around her as they sat pulling her slightly closer, enjoying the burn in his throat as he breathed in... It was wrong to indulge himself this way, it was so very dangerous, but he simply loved having her close. He guessed he picked the film because at times he felt like the Phantom, locked in his own world that no one outside understood. He was the Phantom and Amy was his Christine... He knew that their story could end the same way. He knew that if she ever found out what he really was... She would leave him and live her life away from him.
He shook the thoughts from his head, he didnt really want to think about all that right now. He would enjoy the evening, the music and Amy's company. He just wanted to live life for the here and now and not worry about the things that may come in the future... 'If you like this then perhaps I will have to take you to see it in the Theatre... It is a true work of art on the stage... Have you ever seen anything at a theatre?' He had been several times, he admired those actors on stage more than those on screen, such talent people, able to show the greatest emotions live infront of a large audience. He was sure he would enjoy taking Amy to see a show, no matter what it was.

Amy looked up at Marius and smiled. Feelings like this for one person should be illegal. But she loved the feeling. “Well I don’t really have friends where I can share the pleasure. But lately no movie has been worth the money to see. I just wait til they come on TV or DVD or something” she shrugged. Many people looked at her weird when she said that, but frankly she didn’t care much. It was the truth. Cinema’s were so over rated. She laughed at his comment. He had no idea how imaginative she could be. “And why don’t you come here?” she asked in the same tone he asked her the basically same question.
Amy took a seat, though she knew it would be a while before the movie started. She figured that it would be better if they just got comfortable. She smiled while in his arms and listening to what the sotry was about. She never read the book, but she had heard of it. Now she definitely wished to read it. “What made you pick this movie?” she said with a smile on her face, though he couldn’t see it because she was looking down. She thought about all the love movies that she wished her life would end like. She wanted to find true love, the one that no one else could destroy. But that seemed harder to find that she thought. Maybe Marius would be that person she found it with, but she dint know and she definitely didn’t want to get her hopes up and him not be the one.
“Nope. Ive been deprived of such greatness.” she smirked. Though Amy always thought that she would love a live play than something in the cinema. “I think I would like to this in the Theatre, even if its just for the experience” Amy said. She loved Marius’ sweetness, though sometimes it felt like a curse. He father always told her that no man would ever do something without wanting something in return. Though he father was an wicked mean man, she slightly believed that. It made Amy wonder why Marius was doing all this for her, the time he wanted to spend with her, everything. He didn’t seem like her wanted anything more than for her to be happy and to be around her. [/blockquote]

Marius hadn't forgotten when Amy had told him she had no friends... It was something he couldnt understand for the life of him. It possibly didnt help that Amy's scent just seemed to draw him to her... He smirked a little to himself, out of all the chairs she could have chosen it was at his table... Fate was a strange thing indeed. Yet of course there was also the nagging feeling in his mind and in his throat, warning him that it wasnt just her love he desired... But her blood as well. He had already suprised himself with how well he was coping. Her scent was the most beautiful thing he had ever encountered, he swallowed and mentally slapped himself as he felt the venom in his mouth. He wasnt going to give into it that easily. He chuckled gently at her question 'I guess I have never really had anyone to go with... I have travelled a lot, its not very 'friend' friendly.' He smirked to her 'Guess you can say I'm a bit of a loner... I much prefer books I am afraid.' Of course it had been mainly because he was travelling in search of Carlisle, following their trail had been harder than he had thought.
He considered her question for a moment 'I love the old French Classics... They remind me a little of home. Also its a lovely story.' He chuckled again 'Perfect for a date... At least I thought.' He winked lightly to her and flicked her hair playfully, savouring the wafts of her scent as it reached his nose. The story was a tragic one, in a way he could relate to the phantom... A man who couldnt reveal himself to the one he loved for fear of losing her. To the point where he scared her away and lost her forever... He squeezed her gently at the thought of it. He knew his secret really could send her running, she would have every right to. Where as the Phantom was a monster mostly only in his appearance, Marius was a true monster. There was nothing he would be able to do about that, Amy was always in danger when she was in his company.
'Oh dear mon amour... I am afraid that is something that I am going to have to change...' He winked to her and kissed her forehead lightly. 'If you like this film perhaps I should take you to see it on the stage?' He liked the thought of taking Amy out again, to share those first moments with her. He sighed to himself, he almost felt human again... It had been a very long time since he had given into his 'human' side. Though it frightened him greatly, he was also enjoying it. He was being selfish by wanting to endanger Amy for his own reasons. He knew if couldnt end well, but he just wanted this moment... He wanted to keep her as his own. The life of a vampire was lonely, but it was selfish of him to want her. 'Perhaps one day we can take a trip together... He paused for a moment 'I have always wanted to see inside the Royal Opera House in Paris...' He had never been inside the grand building, but there was so much of his home city he had seen only in books.
