Edward chuckled lightly as Damienne questionned him about being good at everything 'You said it not me...' He teased gently. Edward listned amused as Dorian teased Damienne about her phone, he had heard it go off but she was distracted by trying to beat him. She certainly did have a competitive streak in her, though she would have to work very very hard to beat Edward at anything. Yup, Damienne certainly was something special, he almost couldnt even a future without her being a part of it. Though he knew that in years to come they would have to split ways, but he didnt want to think about that right now. He was enjoying the present and thats what counted for now. He noticed Damienne tense as Dorian spoke to him, it seemed he wasnt the only one who was nervous about this meeting...
He smirked at Dorians comment to Damienne, though he turned more serious as he asked her to take Lycan to the kitchen. His mind was on more serious matters than teasing his little sister. He nodded slowly, listening as he spoke about having family in Alaska 'We were based futher north near Denali, though we visited Anchorage a few times.' They had been up there near Tanya and her Coven, it had been a hard few years, Tanya was one of those who had sought his attention. Though as beautiful a person she was Edward just wasnt interested. His eyes flickered for a moment to the kitchen then back to Dorian, tonight was going to be pretty tense, but it needed to be done.
Edward watched as Jason went to sit down, making sure he wasnt in the way, he went to answer his question but found Jason answering it for him. He smiled a little, he knew Jason was greatful for the help Carlisle had given him. He looked back to Dorian 'No thanks are needed, Carlisle is only happy to hear that Jason is recovering well' He smiled to Jason 'I hope Damienne is giving you the attention you deserve' He chuckled gently knowing if Damienne was there he would get that pouty, offended look. He stood in the background listening to Dorian and Jason talk, happy to not be the centre of attention. He was still fighting not to make a face at the horrible smell that was filling the room.

Jason chuckled gently, as not to hurt hiumself 'You just wait till your my age son' He joked gently, though of course he knew Dorian wouldnt age until he stopped changing, part of the shapeshifter gene. He smiled as he spoke about the journey 'To be fair since you rang I've spent most of it asleep too' The whole Tobias thing had left him totally drained and weak, though he was thankful that he was still alive. Thanks to Edward and his 'father' he would live to fight another day with his sons it seemed, and for now Damienne was safe and happy. He only hoped that Dorian would see the good in Edward that he did, he wanted all of this to be as painless as possible for Damiennes sake.
He listened as Dorian and Edward exchanged polite conversation, though he knew that Dorian was eager to find out a lot more than the pleasentries. 'Your too modest Edward, if it werent for your quick thinking and your fathers skill I doubt I would be sitting here right now...' He was thankful that they had been home so soon as well, he dreaded to think what would have happened if Damienne had come back later and alone. He shuddered slightly at the thought, he would never want to put Damienne through that. 'I think Carlisle is a real asset to the Forks hospital, they are very lucky to have him. As am I' He chuckled 'Its always useful to have a Dr on hand' He winked to Edward and smirked, it was especially true with the state of things in his family.
He shook his head a little to dorian 'The couch is much easier to get out of in my state' He chuckled a little, wincing as he did so a little too hard. He watched as Dorian moved to sit down and looked up to Edward 'You can sit down too Edward... Dont feel like you have to be all polite.' He winked and looked to Dorian as he said there was nothing new to report 'Dorian, you have your own life now. You cant be expected to come babysit everytime Tobias throws his rattle out of the pram.' He sighed a little, he wanted a normal life for all his kids, but that wasnt really a possibility. 'Anyway, Edward has been so kind as to say he will help out a little. I dont want to keep dragging you all the way back here all the time.' His eyes shifted to the kitchen, all of this was so stressful, especially for Damienne, perhaps he tried protecting her too much...

Dorian smirked at his father when he joked about him waiting until he was his age. “I don't think I'll be getting into half the trouble you do, dad,” he replied, still smirking. observed Edward as he spoke about being based further north, near Denali. “We don't really go up there. I heard it gets very crowded,” he replied, raising an eyebrow for a moment, obviously commenting more towards the vampires he knew accommodated that territory. Why would shape shifters go up into the Denali region, unless they were looking for trouble. He looked between Edward and his dad as they spoke, staying out of it for the moment. He continued to observe when Edward had said there was no need to thank him, again, provoking more response out of Jason. He slouched down in the chair, brushing a hand back through his hair, listening to the exchanges. So, his father was appreciating that the Cullens were around, considering one of them was a more than qualified sounding doctor? He couldn't argue with that. The guy had saved Jason's life.
He smirked at his dad's comment about the couch being easier to get up off of, considering his state. His eyes flickered up to Edward when his dad invited him to sit down, telling him he didn't have to be polite. He couldn't deny that Edward was polite enough. He couldn't knock him for that. He straightened up in his seat when his father observed that he had his own life and he shouldn't have to babysit every time Tobias threw a paddy. He looked to Edward again when his father said that he had offered to help out. “Well, it's nice to know there's someone around that could handle Tobias...should things get bad,” he observed, holding Edward's gaze for a moment. He turned to his dad again. “You know I'd come down here whenever you needed it though,” he added. He didn't mind the idea of Edward and his family being around so much. They were a group of at least seven vampires, if memory served him right. They could handle themselves by the sounds of things, though, they seemed more like the type to negotiate rather than fight.

Edward simply nodded to Dorians comment about Denali being crowded. Tanyas coven were like them, they made a perminant residence there so he wasnt all that suprised Dorian knew of them. He smiled but shook his head slowly to Jason as he said he was too modest. 'That may be Jason, but I couldnt have done anything else but what I did...' He may be a monster, but he wasnt one that would take advantage of a situation like that. He cringed slightly as he thought about what might have happened if they had not come home so early. Edward was horrified at the thought of Damienne having found her father dying in his room... He shook it from his head and smiled as he continued to talk about his father. 'Carlisle is very honoured to be working at the hospital, though he looks young in years his knowledge of medicine is better than anyone I have ever met.' He chose his words carefully, of course Jason and Dorian knew his father wasnt as young as he looked.
Edward smiled to Jason and moved to sit down in the nearest chair to him. Of course standing never bothered him, he could stand for hours and he wouldnt even feel a twinge. He looked to Dorian as he commented about him being around for them and nodded his head slightly 'I wont let any harm come to Damienne or Jason... If I can help it' He spoke with a low tone so he knew Damienne wouldnt be able to hear. He was willing to do anything in his power to protect her. He wanted Dorian to know that even though they were natural enemies that he was no threat to his sister or his father. He smirked ever so slightly at his thought, Carlisle was the talker, the rest of them were quite happy to fight. He was sure if he ran into Tobias he would be able to make him think twice before coming near Damienne again.

Jason laughed as his son told him he wouldnt get into as much trouble as him 'Dont be so sure there Dorian... Just wait till little Lycan in a teenager.' He already knew Dorian would do anything for his family, he just had the added bonus that he was a shapeshifter, he wasnt as fragile as Jason was. But it wouldnt mean he would get into less trouble, you could never tell with the Rentons. He shook his head, this boy was really just too nice for his own good, though Jason knew he could handle himself if needed. 'I see your just as bad at accepting thanks than your father' He smirked, Carlisle had been exactly the same when he had thanked him. He nodded slowly as Edward spoke about Carlisles extensive knowledge. Of course he didnt know how old the Cullens really were, but he imagined that Carlisle had picked up a lot of information in his time as a vampire. Though he had to admire him for being able to stay in a place filled with blood, considering his 'condition.'
He nodded to Edward, he knew somehow that he really meant it. He didnt know why but he knew that Edward would do anything for his daughter. It was reassuring to hear him confirm it though. 'Though it might not put Tobias in a very good mood when he finds out of course.' Once Tobias found out Damienne was hanging round with a vampire Jason expected all hell to break loose. He sighed as Dorian said he would come down when ever he was needed 'I cant really complain, I mean I get to see Lycan, and you of course... I think it would do some good for Damienne to see you every now and then. Remind her that some of our family arent totally against us.' He smiled 'Once I'm all fixed up I'll bring her up to Seattle to see you, I'm sure she'd love that' He beamed. He knew Damienne liked seeing Dorain, getting her further away from Tobias wouldnt be a bad idea at all... Just for a little while though.

Dorian laughed at the idea of Lycan when he was a teenager. “He's gonna be a double of me and you know it,” he offered with a wink. “I mean, I wouldn't mind if he turned out like his gramps, but if he turned out like any of his uncles...there may be some problems,” he added in a slightly more serious tone. He watched Edward as he and Jason spoke again. He stood to cross the room, moving to the bottom of the stairs where his bags lay. He glanced in the direction of the kitchen, hearing his sister, his wife and his son giggling about something or other. He pulled off his jacket, draping it over the bottom of the banister before turning back to Edward and his father. He quickly moved to the chair again, dropping down into it and brushing a hand back through his hair again. He glanced to Edward as the vampire spoke in a low tone, obviously not wanting the others, probably more specifically Damienne, to hear what he had to say. He smiled at Edward's words. “That's good to know,” he replied softly, feeling more reassured by the words than he thought he would have been.
He glanced to his dad, smirking slightly evilly at his comment about Tobias. “Well, what he doesn't know might kill him,” he muttered, his eyes dark, his voice oddly hopeful. With Tobias out of the way, he would have one less person to worry about making things difficult for his dad and his baby sister. He didn't often wish bad things upon people, but when it came to the likes of Tobias, he really couldn't help himself. His smile slowly returned when Jason spoke about not being able to complain if Dorian ended up having to come down a lot. “We enjoy seeing you too, dad,” he replied. “She needs all the 'good' she can get...” he continued, pausing briefly. “Regardless of where she finds it,” he added, glancing to Edward for a brief second. He had to admit, he liked Edward. He wasn't keen on his background, but as a person, he was okay. He refocused on his father quickly when he said once he was better, he'd bring her up to Seattle. “She's perfectly capable of bringing herself, dad. She's a big girl now. You know that,” he reminded in a humoured tone.

Edward simply shrugged as Jason said he was like his father when accepting thanks 'Like father like son I believe the saying goes.' He chuckled 'But I do not need thanks, seriously, I only did what any decent person would have done.' That much was true, he didnt want Jason to feel in any debt to him and his father. Carlisle had guided him well through the years and although Edward could be selfish at times Carlisle's selflessness had partially rubbed off on him too. Even though Edward had run away for some time, Carlisle and Esme were still there to guide him on his return. 'We like to think of ourselves as good 'people' despite... What we are.' His tone soft and serious, a slight pained look crossed his features. It was no secret in the Cullen household that Edward was the one who found their life the most difficult. Jasper may have not handled his hunger properly, but Edward would never be fully comfortable with the monster he had become. At least Jasper had Alice to pull him through all the hard times, Edward had no one.
A low growl rumbled in his throat as Jason mentioned Tobias's name, he hadnt even met the guy but he was certain he hated him and not just because he was a dog. Dorian was a dog and though not fully comfortable with him there in the same room as him Edwward could see he was a good person. This Tobias was a risk to Jason and more importantly to Damienne and Edward would never let that dog touch her as long as he was still on this earth. 'If he ever crosses my path he had better hope hes ready for a fight.' His voice low and serious, his eyes narrowed, for his sake he had better hope that never happened. He could tell from Dorians comment that he would probably be entertained by the idea of Tobias being run off by him, it brought a faint smile to his lips.
He listened as Jason mentioned taking Damienne to Seattle to visit his eyes met Dorian's as he said how she needed all the good she could get... At first he wasnt sur how Dorian was warming to him, but his thoughts calmed his fears. He turned his attention back to Jason 'You know it would do you both some good... I know Carlisle told you a trip might do you both some good... Get away from your troubles for a bit.' Edward knew it would do them both some good to get futher away from Tobias and La Push, even if it was only for a few days. He chuckled slightly as Dorian called Damienne a big girl, he might not have said that if he had seen her bouncing up an down infront of her Xbox...

Jason chuckled as Dorian said Lycan would be a double of Dorian when he was a teenager 'We can only hope on that one... Though you had your fair share of rough times as a teen' He chuckled as he thought back to those days, life was so much different back then. 'I have faith that he wont Dorian... He has two great, strong parents to help guide him' He smiled gently, sometimes he even wondered if he would live long enough to see Lycan grow up... As things were going at the moment he would be lucky to be alive at the end of the year. He sighed gently pushing the thoughts from his mind. He looked to Edward as he tried to make excuses for his modesty 'Not everyone is a decent person Edward, though it seems you prove that a decent person can come in many forms.' He smiled warmly, he really had taken a liking to Edward, he could almost feel him becoming part of the family. Though of course he was unsure how Damienne would react when she found out the truth, though they had time, for now he was happy that she was happy.
Jason sighed, no matter how much of a problem Tobias was he was still his son and all this trouble really tore Jason up inside, though he would never let it fully show to his family. He wondered that if Selena was still alive, if all of this would be different, though there was little point on lingering on what ifs. 'Tobias is always ready for a fight... Dont underestimate him Edward...' His face deadly serious, it was bad enough his own family having to deal with Tobias, but now he was dragging Edward and his family into it to. Though he had no doubt Edward could handle himself it was still a big worry for Jason. He felt his chest tighten with worry at the thought of all of this fighting, he took in a deep breath wanting to hide his discomfort from Edward and Dorian.
He had to admit Edward was right, getting further away from La Push would do them both some good. Then again he just worried about having to come back to it all after spending a few days away. He knew Damienne wanted to stay close to her mothers grave and Jason had to respect that wish. He knew Damienne still missed her greatly, as did Jason. 'I only wish I could give her more Dorian...' He sighed gently as he said she needed all the good she could get. He couldnt help but feel he was failing her, no matter how hard he tried it was never good enough. A smile spread across his lips as he said she was a big girl now 'Are you trying to deny your 'old man' a visit too?' He chuckled gently 'You think I'd let Damienne have all the joy of visiting you alone?' It was something they both needed right now... a break.

Dorian smirked at Edward's sentiment about 'like father, like son'. He wished he was more like his own father. Yes, their personalities were quite similar, but Dorian had this stupid shape shifter business to contend with, though, that had become a lot easier to handle as he got older. He wasn't sure he was going to be able to cope the same way his dad had when Lycan got to that point in his life though. He still had no idea how his dad had coped with that many shape shifter children. He continued to watch Edward as he spoke to his father. It really was nice to know that some vampires hadn't forgotten their manners. Edward was clearly the decent sort of person Dorian should hope his sister would hang out with. It was just unfortunate that he was a vampire. He knew that Damienne probably didn't know about that little fact and he couldn't tell how she would react to that, but something told him that Edward would be somewhat upset if she reacted badly, though, at the same time, something told him that Edward expected that.
He looked away from Edward as he spoke of the Cullens thinking themselves to be good people, despite what they were. Dorian, as of yet, couldn't disagree with that. They seemed like good people to him, despite the vampire element. He really couldn't deny that considering they had saved his father's life and stopped his sister having to deal with that on her own. Sometimes, he wished the shape shifter gene would manifest itself in Damienne, just so she could fend off Tobias, but, in the same instance, he couldn't bring himself to really wish that upon her. He imagined if she changed, she'd be a loose cannon with a fiery temper and that wouldn't be good for anyone. He didn't want Damienne to go the same way as the rest of them had. He wanted her to be happy and he didn't think she'd be happy as a shape shifter, not one bit. Besides, that would have torn her further away from Edward, the one person that seemed to be making her happy outside of her family. He sighed. What a messed up family they were.
He smirked when Edward expressed his hope that Tobias would be ready for a fight and Jason commented on how Tobias was always ready for a fight. “He won't know what hit him,” he commented in a low tone, with a knowing smirk. Tobias had heard the legends, just as he had, but unlike Dorian, he'd never crossed paths with a vampire, so far as he knew. He focused on his father when he told Edward not to underestimate Tobias. “Dad, I'm sure Edward's perfectly capable of handling the angry little fur ball,” he said, rolling his eyes. He sat forward in his chair when his father started going on about wishing he could give Damienne more. He rested his elbows on his knees and clasped his hands together. “You do enough already,” he insisted, before lowering his voice to continue. “She can fend for herself, y'know? You can only do so much...” he replied, voice low and glancing over the top of Edward's and Jason's heads in the direction of the kitchen, checking they were still in there and still out of ear shot.
He shook his head slowly at his father's comment about denying him a visit as well. “Certainly not, but don't be using Damienne as an excuse to come up either. When was the last time you visited?” he joked. “It'd be a wonder if you remembered where I lived. Lucky for you, I haven't moved,” he added, chuckling lightly. He sat back in the chair as Edward said that a trip had been suggested as a good idea. “But I won't have you bringing Damienne out of school,” he said in a serious tone, directed to his father. “She doesn't have much of her education left to go. Don't want to mess it up now,” he went on. “Especially if she wanted to go onto something else afterwards,” he finished. He'd always been concerned as to how Damienne was fitting into her schools because he didn't want her failing. He really hoped that the stupid gene wouldn't manifest in her. He remembered how he had struggled with focusing on school when the changes started. He let out a long sigh. This evening wasn't as bad as he thought it would have been.

Edward nodded slowly to Jason as said he proved that a decent person came in many forms, though he still didnt fully believe his words. His stubborness to accept that he wasnt a monster and that the cost of surviving his illness was losing his soul made sure he would never consider himself a person at all. Dorians thoughts on Damienne not knowing about the situation made his stomach tighten. Dorian was right, he didnt expect Damienne to take it well. He expected her to finally see him as the monster he really was. He was pleased that Dorian seemed to be thinking in the same lines of Jason, even if he was doubting himself he didnt want Dorian seeing Edward as any sort of threat. The thought of Damienne having the shapeshifter gene made Edward heart plummet, of course the thought had crossed his mind but it was something he didnt want to think about. If it was the case that she did carry the gene then Edward would be heart broken, he turned away for a moment to hide the pained look on his face. The one girl Edward had fallen for could be a dog... Not only would they be disgusted by each other, but Damienne would change, and no one would know how it would affect her.
He looked back to Dorian and gave a slight smirk as he commented on he wouldnt know what hit him. There was no doubt he would give the dog a run for his money, Edward was very fast and strong enough to take him on... At least he was confident he was, perhaps it would do Tobias good to be shown he couldnt just throw his weight around and always win... 'I have my fair share of experience fighting Jason... Our lives arent always this peaceful.' He chuckled at Dorians comment about him being able to handle the fur ball 'There are certainly worse things than little furballs out there... The Volturi would be top on that list, they really were a deadly foe, it was only by chance that the Cullens remained out of their line of sight by staying low. Though Edward knew all too well that Aro would do anything to have him and Alice as part of their guard, they had been down that path before and they had been upset that Alice and Edward had walked away from their offer.
As they spoke about Damienne Edward kept tabs on their thoughts, though he knew Damienne was curious about what they were talking about she had certainly not heard any of their conversation, she was too busy with her nephew and sister in law to be able to concentrate too much on them. Of course Edward understood Dorians insistance on her staying in school, unlike him she didnt have hundreds of years to perfect her knowledge, unlike him. Still he knew getting away from Forks would be a good thing 'Perhaps you should both go up on spring break, you'd get more time up there and Damie wouldnt miss out on anything...' He mused gently, at least if she was with Dorian he knew she would be safe...

Jason chuckled and admitted defeat, he wasnt going to win here by being the concerned dad. 'I guess you'd both know better than me... After all, I'm only human' He smirked and winked to them both, after all both of them had more clue about their abilities than he did. He was just a mere mortal after all. Also he had no idea on Edwards background, though it was something Jason was sure he would learn a little of in time. 'Itsnt there always something out there thats more of a threat than the ones we know?' Though Jason knew little of the vampire world he imagined there were troubles in their lives just as there were troubles in the Rentons lives. Though Jason hoped he would never have to deal with these things that were worse than furballs...
Jason laughed perhaps a little too hard and winced slightly 'Okay maybe its been a while... But I have to admit I'm sure Damienne would jump at the chance to go visit. She might get my butt into gear so we actually go this time.' He knew Damienne would love a trip to the city, it would do them both some good. He shook his head to Dorian 'As I said to Carlisle when he suggested it, I wont take Frankie out of school, shes only just started to settle down... Thanks to a certain someone.' He smirked and shot a glance to Edward and nodded as he suggested going on spring break 'Either that, or over a weekend. I'll talk to Frankie about it, I'm sure she'll be keen though. He was as keen as Dorian for Damienne to have a proper education and be able to do something with her life. He wanted her to be normal, well as normal as she could be.

Damienne had spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen and she'd completely forgotten about trying to listen to what they were saying. She had ended up jumping up to sit on the counter beside Lycan, talking to Sabrina, catching up on events she had missed up in Seattle. There wasn't much to talk about, but with Lycan muttered about his sandwich every two seconds, it was a little difficult to let the conversation carry on smoothly. Damienne kept glancing in the direction of the living room, where her father, her brother and Edward seemed quite content in talking to one another. After a while, he had stretched and yawned, reaching his arms out to his mum, his hands opening and closing quickly. 'Sleep...now,' he said through another yawn. He reached up and rubbed his eyes as his mum picked him up. She dropped down from the counter top and moved Lycan's plate into the sink before turning to walk with Sabrina back into the living room. She glanced around. They all seemed awfully shifty to her.
She brushed a hand back through her hair as she watched them for a moment. She shook her head slightly before entering the room properly. “Were you guys talking about me by any chance?” she asked as she slowly moved over to the couch. “My ears were burning like crazy,” she commented sarcastically, smirking at Edward as she sat on the arm of the couch closest to him. She sat in the same way as she had on the chair earlier, resting her feet on the edge of the arm, bringing her knees up close to her chest. She wrapped her arms around her knees as her eyes flickered between the three guys in the room, smiling as she looked at Edward again. She watched Dorian as he held Lycan for a moment and said good night to Sabrina. Her eyes followed Sabrina as she carried Lycan and they went to bed, nodding and smiling politely at her as she passed. She chewed on her lip, looking back at the others. “Why do I feel awfully outnumbered now?” she asked with a smirk.

Dorian smiled broadly at his father as he accepted defeat. “So's Damienne,” he reminded in a low tone. She was only human too. He watched Edward for a moment, noticing a sort of realisation cross his expression. He scowled. What was that all about? He shook it off as Edward turned back to him with a smirk about the Tobias thing. He felt oddly reassured again when Edward explained to his father that he'd had his own fair share of fighting experience. Nothing seemed to be simple, whether you were a shape shifter or a vampire. You couldn't avoid the conflict. He nodded slowly when Edward said there were worse things than fur balls. Dorian couldn't deny that. There were probably bigger fur balls and even stronger vampires to be afraid of. It wasn't often that Dorian thought about this, but in the presence of Edward, he couldn't help considering it. Edward seemed to be the tamest vampire he'd ever come across and he imagined the rest of the Cullens weren't much different.
He smiled as his dad spoke about visiting again. “She could easily kick your butt,” he commented joking, shaking his head slowly. “Though, it would seem that she's not going to be considering a trip away any time soon,” he added with a smirk, sitting back in the chair, following his dad's comment about her only just settling because of a certain someone. “Hmmm, spring break...” he repeated, pulling a slight face. “It might be pretty busy at work, but I'm sure I can get...someone to cover,” he went on with a slightly unsure smile. He smirked when Edward made the point that they'd get more time up there and that she wouldn't miss out on anything. “I think she'd disagree with you there,” he said quickly, noticing his wife, sister and son in the archway to the kitchen. He adjusted in his seat, smiling at his wife. 'Bed time,' Lycan announced as Sabrina brought him over to him and he settled in his lap. “Bed time? Already?” he asked gently. Lycan nodded slowly, his eyes falling shut as he moved.
“Are you going too?” he asked Sabrina gently. She nodded, smiling softly. “I won't be too far behind,” he commented as she leant forwards. She pulled a face, laughing lightly and nodding slightly. 'Yes, you will,' she muttered, kissing his lips gently. He beamed at her as she stood up straight, taking Lycan with her. 'Night daddy...and gramps,' Lycan muttered, half waving as he leant against his mother's shoulder. 'Auntie Dam and...Edward...' he continued, practically asleep now. Dorian kept his mouth closed, smiling broadly and light chuckle resonating in his throat. He watched at they disappeared up the stairs before refocusing on Damienne. She really did sit in the strangest places. He smirked when she asked if they were talking about her. He wasn't going to justify her question with an answer from him. His smile broadened when she commented about being outnumbered. “You should be used to that by now,” he teased. She'd spent most of her life outnumbered by either boys or shape shifters.

Edward noticed that Dorian had seen his moment of pain thoughts, of course he had no idea why. He didnt like thinking about Damienne's future, whether she was a shapeshifter or not her future would eventually split from his and it wasnt a thought he wanted to think about. Edward sighed slightly as Dorian pointed out that Damienne was only human too. It wasnt really something he wanted to think about, though it was something he would have to deal with sooner or later. Edward nodded slowly as Jason pointed out there was always something more dangerous out there 'Theres always a new suprise around the corner as well... But it keeps life interesting.' He smirked a little, after all life could get boring after a while. Though sometimes the troubles the Cullens came across really tested them, like this problem with Alice. He would be happy once she was better and everything was back to 'normal.'
He chuckled slightly as Dorian said Damienne could kick Jasons butt, though his expression changed when they both refered to Damienne and Edward in a round about fashion. He didnt want Damienne putting him before her family and herself 'It might do her some good... Even if she doesnt realise it.' He said in a soft tone. Although it pained him to think about time away from Damienne he knew it would probably do them both some good, though the distraction from his family had been very welcome. He cringed slightly as Dorian said she would disagree on not missing out on anything... Now they were going to have everyone teasing the hell out of them. It was bad enough with Carlisle teasing, Alice not dropping the subject and Jason smirking... Now Dorian was in on it and soon the rest of Edwards family too. He sighed slightly, he should have seen this all coming. Just because he was a vampire didnt mean he wasnt affected by all of this.
He watched as Sabrina came in and watched the exchange between Dorian and his son. His eyes narrowed slightly as he watched, that was a future he was sure Damienne wanted, a family, something Edward couldnt give her. Edward would never have a family like that, and strangely it hurt... For the first time in his life he actually understood how Rosalie felt. He pushed the thoughts to the side as Lycan said goognight to him, his eyebrow raised and he smirked slightly 'Goodnight Sabrina... Lycan' He looked to Damienne as she asked if they were talking about her and Edward chuckled 'By the way Lycan knew my name I could ask the same of you too Damie...' He hadnt really been listening in what she had been saying, but he had caught his name in there somewhere. His hand reached up and brushed through his hair as he shifted in the seat, he felt a little more settled now she was back in the room... Odd how she had that affect on him...

Jason couldnt do anything but nod, for the moment at least she was human, though only time would tell if she remained that way. Though for her sake he seriously hoped she wouldnt shift... For his sake too, he didnt know if he could survive another of his children changing. He chuckled a little as Edward commented about how it kept life interesting 'Oh you could say that again...' He had had his fair share of drama in his short human life, he could certainly say his life had been anything but boring... Painful but definatly not boring. He was amused by Dorian and Edward calling Tobias a furball, it made him sound soft and fluffy... That really wasnt a good description of him, but funny none the less.
'Hmm... Yes it might be tough tearing her away from her new study buddy... I'm sure shes got lots to catch up on' He chuckled gently, but he was in no doubt that a trip to Seattle to see he big bro would do her some real good. He looked up to Sabrina and Lycan and beamed 'Aw my little Imp heading to bed already? You save all your gramps hug and kiss energy for tomorrow.' He chuckled watching as they dissapeared upstairs to the spare room. It was good to be surrounded by family again, sometimes he forgot how much he missed it. He watched as Damienne perched on the arm of the chair and he chuckled, she had always been an odd one...
He shook his head and grinned as she said about her ears burning 'hmm perhaps you should see the doctor about that Frankie...' Of course she knew they had been, just as Jason was sure she was talking about Edward to Sabrina. He sat back and watched as Dorian teased her, this was exactly what Damienne needed to get her mind off things, well, this and Edward of course...
