Emmett sat, slumped back in his chair, as the teacher lectured the class on The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. Groaning softly under his breath, he couldn't help but role his eyes as the teacher continued to explain the pandemic of the 1930's and how the Joad family actually went through so much turmoil. Emmett had been taught this book so many times, he just wanted to get up and explain it in three minutes to the class and be done with it. Or yell out saying how he knew how bad the Great Depression was because he lived through it, but he suffered quietly instead.
Looking over at Rose who sat to the right of him, and Jack, the new girl, both looked to be equally bored. That was a laugh. He knew why Rose was bored, she had been taught the book with him so many times, that she knew the book backwards and forwards. Jack on the other hand, had just been transfered here, but apparently she had already learned the book back at her old school in her A.P. class. Figures. Looking at Rose he smiled. She always was beautiful, even when he was close to death all he could do was stare and be amazed at her beauty. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he quietly began to doodle in his notebook. One more minute. The class was getting rowdy and loud. Emmett just sat there with Rose, and sadly Jack on the other side of him.
"How do you think the others are enjoying their day Rose?" He asked her softly, knowing how stressed the family had been over Alice's condition. he had been staying back, trying not to get in the way. He loved Alice dearly, she was his sister, but he knew he couldn't help her, so he needed to stay back. And thats just what he was doing.

Rosalie had her head in her hand, propped up on the desk. She was sooooo bored. Along with her husband, Rose had lived through the Great Depression. Her father being a banker, however, it didn't affect her as much, but she did know of how bad it was for some people. Rosalie read the book several times outside of the classes she was assigned to read it. It was practically one of the many books Rosalie memorized. She let out a bored sigh and took her head out of her hands. Instead, she grabbed a strand of her long, golden hair and fiddled with it between her fingers, a very blank and bored look evident on her face.
She felt Emmett's eyes drift towards her, but made nothing of it. She was so incredibly bored, as she was in most of her classes. She wrinkled her nose in disgust, still not fond nor accustomed to having a dog in the classroom. It sickened her. The smell was simply foul and unpleasant. She never liked having shape-shifters around, not only because of their smell [that was a main reason] but because of the sworn enemy-feeling that rested between the two species. She released the strand of hair she held in her hands and leaned back in her chair. She was so incredibly bored, it was absolutely not funny.
She turned her attention on her love, "I have no idea. Hopefully, Alice is feeling a bit better." she hoped. It wasn't that much fun having a sibling mildly ill, especially when the species was not supposed to get sick. Rosalie stepped back from the scene of whatever was going on; it wasn't her place with anything, and she couldn't help. So she decided to back off and stay on the sidelines with her husband.
[[[ Okay. I have never read nor have I heard of the book in this thread, so I won't put a lot of information of it in my posts. ]]]

{{Don't worry. It's an extremely boring book based in the 1930's during the Great Depression. It's about a family of Oakies traveling to California....I just learned about it in A.P. English....gag.}}
Emmett laughed. The bell rang and he stood up, glad the class was over and lunch was now here. "I agree." He smiled, going down the aisle of desk then stood waiting for Rose to get her things. He had no desire to go and spend time at lunch acting human, nor did he have the desire to stay in English. Yet it was the only class that he had with Rose that he could at least tolerate so...he dealt with it.
Watching as Jack left the class, a look of relief on her face as she walked out of the class. Guess he and Rose weren't the only one's to be free. Shrugging he smiled at Rose, a twinkle in his eyes. "Aren't you glad this is our last year?" He asked. He was glad. At least he wouldn't have to go back for a year or two and he could take a break. "I'll be so glad when we can get away from all the drama and bullshit."

[[ lol. pleasant and interesting. We're supposed to read To Kill A Mockingbird sometime soon. We're reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman now. And apparently we're going to read Twilight next. lol, half of our entire class has already read it. xD ]]
Rosalie smiled as he laughed. She always loved to hear her husband laugh, the joyful sound was like music to her ears even when she was upset over anything. She stood up too and grabbed her unnecessary belongings and stood as well. She walked through the desks and walked next to her husband. Next she had lunch, another hour wasted for her and her family, but it wasn't a total waste. It was a break in the day in which she could escape from the school building. Plus, it was another 'class' she shared with her Emmett. She wasn't a fan of mostly any of her classes, having them come so easy for her, but having some with her family [mostly Emmett] it made it seem better.
Rosalie smiled wide as he mentioned it was their last year, "Yes! Completely!" she beamed, but then it faded as she continued, "But we'll have to go through with it again and again and again" she added at a lower volume so that the teacher wouldn't hear. She chuckled, "I will too. Thank God, erm. Or whoever is "in charge" of us." she joked, though it kind of was the truth.

Emmett smiled as he stepped out of the classroom. Graduation, again. It would be amusing, and it would be nice to get out of high school, again. He was getting tired of the whole theme that was going on. High school, graduation, fake life, and again. Over and over. It was such a pain in the ass.
"At least we get out for a while. Maybe this time we can stay out for a good 5 years or something." Emmett replied with a smile. "But our luck, we won't. We'll be right back in, in about a year or two. Fun." Emmett added a sarcastic tone to the end of his sentence. He was just sick of the routine. Why couldn't they be "home schooled" for a while. That would be so much easier.
"Who cares who's in "charge" of us. We are in charge of ourselves is all." Emmett smiled back at Rose. Hmm, she was beautiful, and if he said she was cute about something, it was a major understatement. Walking slowly down the hall with Rose, Emmett looked around then back at Rose. "I know one thing. I want to go somewhere that isn't so small. Rather somewhere where there is a large school rather than this small one."

Rosalie despised repeating high school over and over and over again. It was just a pain and a useless waste of time. She smiled as her husband looked at the bright side. It was always something to look forward to when she was mad, annoyed or sad. It lifted her mood better than Jasper could ever, even though it was his gift to manipulate her or anyone's emotions. "Of course we won't. We'll break for about a year, then start all over again. But it could be worse. she replied with a smile up at him.
Rosalie giggled at him, "I suppose you have a bit of a point." she said, looking at him again. She smiled as she looked into his eyes. The golden pools were warm and so easy to get lost in. She managed to look away for a bit, looking around at the gawking humans. She smiled to herself, ah. Always the envy of people. It pleased her. "Hm. I agree. I am beginning to get sick of small towns. They bore me. she said

Emmett walked and listened to his wife. Smiling he nodded his head as she agreed. It was amusing that the family only stuck to small towns. Why not go to a large city, like Seattle or even Helena, Montana. Someplace large, but still with the cloudy weather and such.
Turning and smile at his wife, Emmett nodded his head. "Lets get out of here. Its doesn't matter if we ditch anyways. Who's gonna care. What do you say?" He asked as he stood stopped in the hall. He wanted to go spend some needed alone time with her. Time where they didn't have to hide who they were to everyone around them. Rather, be just them talking, about what, who knew, but just spending time together would be nice.

Rosalie turned back over to look at him, smiling. She brightened up when he suggested the two ditch the rest of the day. She had been thinking the same thing earlier in English. She smiled, "Of course!" she beamed, "Let's go." she wanted some much desired alone time with her man. With all of the stuff going on in the household, that didn't include nor involve Rosalie, she felt more alone than ever, so it was nice to get some company. The two were always the more flamboyant pair of the Cullen couples, but Rosalie personally enjoyed having the moments where it wasn't full of passionate sex and whatnot.
The hallway was full of busy students trying to get to their next classes on time, so it was - once again - easy to blend in and leave. Luckily for Emmett and Rosalie, they had lunch, so they could claim to get a lunch from a place away from school, but never return. Hm, oh well. She continued to walk next to Emmett down the hallway corridors down to the parking lot.
