Wind howled it's heavy baritone, whistling through trees to murmur against the rocking ocean waves. It was nearly silent, with the exception of gentle lapping of the sea below and melodic cry of the breeze. There were no people, no interrupting voices, the atmosphere relaxed without the intensity caused by human emotion. Peaceful. Perhaps thats why of all the places in the world, of all the lands to travel to, it was his favorite.
Heavy canine paws slammed their rough pads into the shifting earth, muscles challenging the body they belonged to, yearning for greater speed, greater power. Stretching, pushing, pulling until their owner panted in submission - but this did not, could not, stop him. Bones ached, body crying for relaxation, fatigued and exhausted, but still he moved onward. Back to Washington, back to La Push, to home, to Bella.
Jacob's burly, russet colored frame hurtled by passing trees, scattering foliage in whirlwinds of dancing colors. He was close; could taste the salt of the sea, could scent the stale aroma of packmembers, of family and the teenagers that occasionally wandered these paths. Joy and excitement was slowly filling his once frozen, tender heart, feeling the bright, hopeful gleam of new resolve... he had run away for a little while. To figure things out... and he finally had it. Love. Love was the Answer to all questions. Love for Bella Swan.
As figure streaked in a massive blur of color, muzzle was thrown back long enough to release an energetic cry - alerting those of his return. AS in split seconds in the place of a large rusty colored wolf stood a wolfish boy. Who eyes glistened in the sun with hope that Bella had gotten the message to meet him.
Now out of the woods... with a simple pair of jeans on he ran. Dusting being kicked up into the air with joy as he ran. Soon he was in teh tiny cenet of town... and waiting and alert seeing if she was near. EVen though he was sure one of the other wolfs would run into him first.

Bella had gotten the message she didn't understand why Jacob had left well she did but she wasn't sure if she could ever feel the same way he did she'd been walking along the beach all day just waiting for his return, when she heard his howl she ran forward to it's owner. '' Jacob!'' She shouted as she wrapped her arms around his neck, hugged him close pulling back she looked up at him, smiled warmly awaiting his reaction she'd really missed him. Biting her lip she stuffed her hand in her pocket, pulled out a leather beaded friendship bracelet she'd bought for him just as a friendly gesture holding it in her palm she waited for him to snatch it or ask what it was for.

"Bells!"
The sound of her voice played over an dover again in his ears. Taking in every sound... Smiling his wolfish grin. He turned and looked down at the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He squeeze her back around her waist. As she released so did he ... he took a step back and just looked at her... 'Wow she is beautiful' he thought to himself.
"Bells! Boy, have I missed you! I am so sorry i had to leave... it was a..." his voice trailed off.
His half-smile grew once again to , as she reached for something in her pocket, with her delicate hands. Suddenly, his eyes lite up as she opened her hand. A bracelet..made with leather, and colorful beads. There it was laying in her open palm... with out hesitation, he picked it out of her cool pale hands and slid it on. A perfect fit... she new how big he was.
"I have something for you ,too." He slid his thick hands into his jean pocket. A little box comeing out with it... he glaced up at Bella's reaction. She didn't know it yet, but inside were to very preious things. One a little metal ring that would fit around her wrist. A small wooden wolf charm he had carved and the second gift was an amulet... a beautiful amulet emerald green. A small stone he had found... he had also carved this one in the shape wolf. He smiled and just continued to hold out the little golden box.
"Go Ahead Open it!"

Bella smiled as he hugged her back then when he took the bracelet, slipped it on her smile widened because she didn't think he'd accept it. Then when he said he had something for her she took the small box out of his hand, opened it her eyes widening. As she looked at the items the necklace included she put it around her neck, as she placed the ring around her wrist she bit her lip looking at the small wolf charm. '' Oh Jacob I love them.'' She said closing the box as she stuffed it into her pocket she put the charm in her other pocket, wrapped her arms around his neck once more for a hug but she also kissed his cheek then stepped back as she looked at him caressing the amulet with her thumb.
'' What's the amulet for? it's really beautiful.'' Bella said smiling as she stared at it then looked up at Jacob to her he was a towering giant because she was rather short, he was like 6'5'' maybe taller but she didn't care one bit she just wanted to know what the necklace symbolized or what it was for.

"Anything for you Bells." Jake said grining. Pretty soon she wrapped around him again, He bent over a little and did the same. There was one small diffrence, her lips brushed against his burning cheeks. Smileing even wide he let go... setting her back down on the ground.
'' What's the amulet for? it's really beautiful.''
"It's for you to wear by your heart at all times, I really missed you bella. I want you to remeber me... in case I ever have to go away for a little while again. I carved both of them myself, thats a real stone...and shocker that was real wood. Although I did have to make a stop to get you the chain and the bracelet ring."
With a sigh he looked up toward the sky... It was sunny out. Was that even possible in Forks?
"So Bella, what are we gunna do before I get attacked by my pack? And when I say attacked I mean attacked... Oh will probably get tackled or something like that." He smiled and laughed looking back down at the beatiful, short brunette girl infront of him as he ran a hand through his short balck hair. His were white, a crescent shape of pearls agaist his russet skin. He acwated down waiting for answer, to flow from her lips.

Bella smiled as she caressed the beautiful amulet with her thumb it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen in her life, when he explained that he had to by the chain as well as the bracelet ring she couldn't help but smile he didn't have to get her anything. '' I don't know.'' She said frowning at the word attack cause she knew he meant literally attack, she didn't like seeing him get hurt but then again he healed rather quickly so it didn't much matter but she was surprised that it was rather warm. Bella bit the corner of her lip as she looked down at the sand then up at jacob there was something about him that she really liked but could never see herself with him permanently. He was kind of like a little brother to her, that's the way she'd always see him but she could never tell him that because he had his heart set on her she was sure of it just by the way he looked at her.

"How about a ride than?" He asked in a friednly way. When he was in fwolf form he was about the size of a horse... Bella would have no problem of sticking on to his back as they dashde through the woods. "Maybe we'll run to the cliffs. I didn't forget that when you first got here I promised that i would take you sometime..." He said with a smile. "Piggy Back?" He asked. Picking up Bella and agusting her over his shoulder. "Ready he asked?"

'' Sounds Fun.'' Bella said smiling she'd never in a million years expect to be riding piggy back on jacob's back while he was in wolf form, she figured holding on was a good idea so she held on as tight as she could biting her lip when he asked if she was ready. '' Yeah.'' She whispered softly but she was actually very nervous even surprised he remembered the fact she wanted to go cliff diving some time, she took a deep breath as she closed her eyes not really sure if this was gonna be an adrenaline rush or a scary situation. She had to admit Jacob never ceased to amaze her he was very good looking, even though he was nothing but a friend to her she hated the fact that he wanted more, she couldn't give him that sensation because she didn't know if she could love him like Emily loved Sam.

Jacob smiled... "Good."
'' Yeah.'' Was her answer to the cliffs. He smiled. As soon as the words had been spoken he set off at full speed. Starting on two feet. Dashing through the alleys, passed the people, and around corners.
Until they hit the forest. He croched down and a fur covered the muscles, and arms were replaced by paws along with feet aswell. Still running his face became that of a wolfs, with a muzzel. A howl broke through the air... and with Bella still on his back they ran, through trees, over rivers, through foliage, and felling free!

Bella could feel the wind blowing through her hair as jacob morphed. Her heart raced as adrenalin rushed through her veins this was what she'd been waiting for. Jacob honestly knew what she needed, the fact that he had given her gifts when all she had given him was a single friendship bracelet. She'd never in her entire life dreamed of this moment she'd known Jake all her life, now he wasn't all human he was half wolf half boy it didn't make alot of sense but nothing made sense around forks it seemed the entire town had been turned upside down with supernatural happenings or creatures.

It was nearly silent, except for the heavy breathing of Bella. Her turned his head to look at her for a moment. Watching the wond play and tease her long choclate hair. Heavy canine paws slammed their rough pads into the shifting earth, muscles challenging the body they belonged to, yearning for greater speed, greater power.
He Smiled that wolfish smile and went back to looking forward. They would be at the cliffs soon. He glaced down at his paws and on it was the braclet ... it was lethaer and colorful. and underit tuck a pair of jeans. Perfect he thought. HE went faster... and faster... wanting to give Bella the full experiance.

Bella was holding on for dear life as she held her arms around jacob's neck but not to hard she didn't wanna hurt him she just didn't wanna fall off, she couldn't wait to get to the cliff's it would be fun the adrenaline rush would give her something to think about. She knew how jacob felt about her but she could never feel the same it just wasn't right he'd always been like a younger brother to her nothing would change that, there had to be a way she could tell him but she couldn't think right now she didn't want to think. Jake was her friend she hated seeing him upset or mad at her but she felt she was destined for greater things, that maybe the boy she had yet to meet at school was her soul mate she wasn't positive but there was something about him that interested her.

Jake ran. Ran as if for dear life. He loved to run... the world passed him by when he did. The only thing that he did see at the moment was the beatiful girl on his back as she clung on.
He smiled that wolfish smile and lifted his head up and howled. As to tell her just a few more seconds. An OPenning apeared ahead. The World was brightend as Jake's rusty pelt broke through the cloud cover into the sunlite world.
He smiled as he morphed back. Craddleing Bells in his arms. "Have fun, Monkey?" He asked laughing.

'' Who you calling a monkey?'' Bella asked crossing her arms over her chest as she looked at Jacob realizing she was cradled in his arms which she had to admit felt nice around her thin frame, there was something about jacob holding her that made shivers of delight run down her back. Biting her lip she turned herself around, did something she never thought she'd ever be able to do least not with Jake she placed her hand on the side of his cheek caressing it with her thumb as her lips met with his in a soft kiss. Once she'd realized what she'd done she pushed away from him, turned to her back was facing him she couldn't believe she'd just done that he was her friend so she didn't wanna hurt him she just wanted to see what it felt like to kiss him to see what his reaction would be.
