Jack walked through the campus frustrated as all hell. This place was ridiculous. For starters it was too small, everyone knew her buisness and she was getting annoyed at how people talked. Second, there wasn't enough people here! She couldn't go somewhere and meet someone new without driving to Port Angeles, and that was just doubling frustrating. Blinking twice hard, she knew her eyes were the hazel-yellow color they changed to when coyote was closer to the surface. Ugh, she usually had more control. That was one of the things on her mind as she walked into the cafeteria.
It was partially full, with the different groups sitting at different tables. Jack spotted her cousin with a group of people but she didn't attempt to go over. She moved into the food line, getting something simple to eat, prefering the idea of changing shape after school and going hunting. There was just something yummy about being a coyote and catching a rabbit. Jack licked her lips as her thoughts wondered. Lastly grabbing a Coke, she turned around and bit her lip, wondering where to go sit. Finding an empty table in the corner, by a window, she went and sat there, sitting on the table rather than in the chair.
Looking out the window as she munched on a carrot, Jack thought of this school. She had been there for a few days, and already she wanted to go home. Back to the warm, fun Santana high school. She could imagine it perfectly. Maci, Jessi, and her would be sitting out in the large quad, listening to Mr. Johnson, one of the english teachers, play his guitar for the students. It was always so relaxing. On other days, they would sit and laugh, and talk shit about the people they didn't like if they got too bored. Life was easy.
Here, in Forks, life sucked. She didn't want to sit with anyone, although it seemed that her cousin had already found friends. Jack just couldn't wrap her head around staying in this dismal of a place. There was no excitement, and the one thing Jack would love was a surprise that would yanked her tail.

Alice stepped into the Canteen and looked around for her siblings, it had been a long day and she was looking forward to having their company. Her eyes wandered to their usual table and was shocked to see someone sitting on it... Most of the students avoided that table like the plague, no one there liked the Cullens, which was a shame really, Alice liked them. She wandered over and felt eyes following her, she was trying to poke at trying to see the future with this person, but she kept drawing a blank. That was odd, it had never happened before. As she got nearer she could smell something that didnt appeal to her at all, she resisted wrinking her nose though... Was that horrible smell coming from the girl?
She stopped a little way from the table and smiled warmly to Jack, she could hear the whispers going around, after all no one ever dared draw attention to themselves around the Cullens. 'Hi!' she beamed 'I'm Alice' Her hands remained folded behind her back, Alice wasnt really that good at the socialising thing, not remembering her human life didnt help things at all. However she normally relied on her gift to help decide what to do, but that was drawing up a complete blank.
Alice wondered lightly where Edward and Jasper were, she felt rather strange being here alone. Though not only was the fact she was drawing a blank on her skill bothering her, but so was the smell coming from this girl, Alice had never smelt anything like it in her life, though it made her terribly curious. She had never seen this girl before, it seemed like a lot had changed since they had been away on holiday. There was Bella, the chief of polices daughter, then that new boy Zavier... Now another new student? Forks was often very quiet, suddenly it seemed loads of new people were appearing. Alice didnt mind this really, as long as there was no trouble for her and her family she was fine.

Jack stared blankly out the window, half listening to the chatter in the room around her, half consumed by her thoughts. Taking a bite of her carrot, she chewed on the piece, thinking of so many different things, that she was just blank. As she brought herself back to the living, a sickenly sweet smell tickled her nose and she noticed that the dull roar of the other students had calmed to a murmur. Raising an eyebrow, she turned to see the reason.
A short, beautiful, pixie like young woman walked towards her. By the smell she knew what she was, she had come in contact with many of her kind in Santee, late at night in dark places. It was strange to see one out in daylight, but the cloud cover of this dismal place was the perfect place to hide. Figures that she had to live there now.
Taking a deep breath through her nostrils, she watched the beautiful young woman coming directly to her. Out of the corner of her eyes, Jack saw Maci get up, recognizing the scent as well. Jack shook her head slightly, showing that she needed to stay put. Keeping her eyes on the vampire she wondered if there were any others at the school, and at the thought, she could feel the hairs on the back of her neck rise, as if she were coyote and her hackles were raised.
Resisting the urge to growl, she smiled and raised an eyebrow slightly as she heard the young woman speak. Alice. What a simple name. Leaning back on the table, which was obviously Alice's normal spot, from the looks that the other students were giving, she tilted her head slightly and replied, "Name's Jacinth, but everyone calls me Jack."
Jack saw as Maci stiffened in her seat and glared at Jack. The look read annoyance, as if she were saying, 'You always have to stick your nose where it doesn't belong.' The smile on Jack's face widened but she turned her attention back to the girl in front of her. "I'm not in your way or anything am I?" She added a hint of sarcasm, as she watched the girl in front of her and the different doors, wondering if any others would come.

Alice had noticed the air change in the Canteen as she moved through it, everyone had known the Cullens had been on holiday and she was back before time. Though she was guessing they were also curious as to how the little 'freak' aka her would react to someone sitting on the Cullen table. Alice didnt really mind all that much, she rather liked meeting new people, though her brothers Edward and Emmett... and her sister Rosalie come to think of it always made it hard. She glanced around, there was no sign of Edward yet, she was safe from his interferance for now.
'Jacinth... I like it' She smiled sweetly, she had noticed the others at the other table and Alice looked over curiously. She knew if these guys were dangerous they certainly wouldnt make a scene infront of the whole school. That was good for her for one very good reason, Alice was a great fighter, but that relied heavily on her girft... For some reason she couldnt see anything with this girl, it was as if the moment they met their futures were wiped out... It worried her a little, but she felt safe here.
She giggled a little 'Oh it doesnt bother me one bit you beig there... Though my brother tends to be a bit edgy about his personal space' She beamed at Jack, she was actually talking at someone at school who wasnt her family! How cool was that! 'But hes not around at the moment so your good!' Alice noticed it had gone very quiet indeed and she looked around, no one met her gaze and they all suddenly made themself look busy. She pouted a little, she knew people saw her as a freak.

The tune she hummed tugged at his mind. “Stop that.” He barked, beyond irritated as he stormed out of the classroom and down the hall. The other students that still mingled in the hall gave Edward a wide birth, confusion and excitement flashing in their eyes. What was he so worked up about. He didn't bother to wait for the other girl, and instead he assumed she'd follow. If she didn't what did he care?
When he reached the large room, the scene was an unusual one. All the students whispered in hushed tones, their attention focused on two people at his usual table. Alice was standing up, beaming at an unknown person who had invaded their space. His face was clouded with anger as he made his way through the sea of tables, coming to stand next to his favorite sibling. “Who's she?” He asked gesturing with his head toward the attractive yet foul smelling young woman that sat in his seat.

Alice heard the door open, more whispers flew across the watching students as the drama unfolded. 'Looks like I spoke too soon' She bit her lip lightly, Edward really didnt look like he was in a good mood. She loved her brother and all but he could have a terrible temper sometimes. 'Hey Edward...This is Jack' She smiled a little sheepishly, she could sense that Edward wasnt having the best of days... Though he was still in one piece so that was something...
She looked behind him as another person followed and she wondered who she was... Someone else? Suddenly she gasped, her hand flying to her mouth as her eyes glazed overslightly. She watched as she saw Edward and this girl, smiling, talking to each other. Alice felt really strange for some reason, the image was simple enough, why did she suddenly feel jealous of this girl... Alice frowned and turned to Jack realising how rude she had been 'This is Edward, hes my brother' She beamed again but she was feeling uneasy, she somehow wished she had stayed on holiday...

Amanda had followed edward as he'd expected, when she caught win of the other female she lowered her head covering her nose with her hand finally realizing it was a waist she raised her head once again then looked at alice amused that the humming had annoyed edward but obviously hadn't triggered anything. It wasn't easy being the new girl especially if you were a vampire or as fowl smelling as the other girl it actually made amanda's stomach curdle the smell did anyways, she figured edward might speak 1st since he was the one who didn't believe her or alice could figure it out without being told. Her gift was rather odd it's how she learned names, it often got her in trouble cause not everyone wanted their memories invaded especially if they were private ones.

Jack smiled at Alice, she seemed nice enough, and if you could be friend with a pack of dominating werewolves, why not a vampire. When a wave of fresh air came at her with two other scents of vampire though, it seemed she spoke too soon. A tall young man walked toward them, and no matter how good looking he was, for he was a good piece of eye candy, he rubbed her wrong just by the look he gave her.
"Okay, I'm glad I'm not in your way. Want to sit with me? I don't know anyone here, except you." As she finished, she heard the handsome young man's voice snap, and she gritted her teeth resisting the urge to snarl. Looking at him, she smiled an irritated smile and looked back at Alice. "Nice to meet you Edward."
From her position, she heard a soft rumble. Snapping her head at Maci, she narrowed her eyes, and Maci just glared, fighting the urge to get up and go help her cousin. But they couldn't cause any kind of scene if they were to stay here, and Jack was determined, and curious, at this point to stick to it, sadly. Curiosity was itching at her though as she sat on the table, with her feet on a chair, nibbling on a piece of salami, the mix of meet was okay, but with all the other meet on her tray, it was just one of the pieces she grabbed off the bread of her once sandwich.
The girl right beside the two siblings hadn't spoken yet, but Jack felt just a little edgy that there were three or more of them, and only two coyotes in the cafeteria at the moment. She had to keep her cool. Smiling she leaned back on her hands relaxed. "So, it seems this town is more interesting than I thought it would be." She said it softly, just loud enough for her coyote hearing to pick it up.

Edward felt the tension in his body relax as soon as he was at Alice's side. Though she did not have Jasper's special talent, she did have a calming effect on her brother. All the glaring in the world didn't seem to stop the girl that claimed to be his sister as she followed behind him to the cafeteria. At Alice's reaction he reached out a comforting hand to her. “Are you alright?” He questioned, concern filling his voice.
“A pleasure, I'm sure.” Edward responded to Jack, taking the seat next to her. “People are staring, more than usual. I suggest we all take a seat and try not to be outrageous.” He said, pointedly looking at the newest arrival. Belatedly he realized that he had forgotten to get any food. Not that they ever really ate anyways. Leaning back he tried to look as relaxed as possible, hoping that the attention of the school would turn elsewhere.
Hearing Jack's barely breathed statement, he responded in kind, his voice just audible to people whose ears were as sensitive as his. “You have no idea.”

Alice nodded looking to edward and flashed him a question silently in her mind *Who the hell is that girl?* Alice looked back at Amanda and smiled but she kept getting odd flashes in her head of her and Edward talking... She sat down next to Edward and closed her eyes trying to get more... They were talking but what about? one of the words was coming... What was it? Her lips moved silently trying to make out words in the coversation before whispering something 'Masen...?' Her eyes snapped open and looked to Edward then to Amanda, this was some kind of joke right?
She shook it out of her head and looked to Jack, she didnt know why but concentrating on her gift around her seemed extreamly difficult and it was starting to give her a headache. She rubbed her temples a little 'Can someone pleeeeease explain whats going on before my head like explodes?' She had a new girl who was drawing up a blank, he had seen Edward in a vision fighting with an unknown vampire and there was this new girl who was some how connected to Edwards past. She pouted slightly wishing Jasper was there, no such luck though.
'Jack who are those guys over there who are staring at me like they want to kill me?' She looked at Amanda and shook her head, nope she wasnt even going to attempt to bring that up here. She had enough of a headache as it was.

Amanda sat down but kept her distances mainly because she wasn't all that sure what was going on but she could see everything that the fowl smelling girl saw when it came to memories as she rolled her eyes she set her bag down on the table, laid her head on it for some strange reason she could see all the memories everyone in the school had it was really starting to irritate her. She often wished she didn't have a gift or that she had had the chance to get to know her real family, not the one that adopted her so many years ago, then just abanonded her like they didn't want her anymore. '' Maybe there's some place we can go that isn't so crowded?'' Mandy asked not really sure where else they could go but she hated being stared at, it seemed like everyone was staring at them.

"Give up. Their curiosity seems to be worse than mine." Jack told Edward, as she slid down into a seat next to Alice. Luckily, the table was rounded and where she sat she could keep an eye on the door, and her three companions.
"You have no idea." Laughing softly at that, Jack leaned back and pulled her hair so it lay down her back. "Actually, I'm surprised this place is as lively as it is. I come from a city in San Diego, and no matter how crazy it got down there, I don't think I've ever been in the same room with three of your kind before." Uh oh. Damn it. Like always, her tongue slipped and she said something she probably shouldn't have. Damn. She usually thought before she said anything or did anything, but at the moment, she just slipped.
Smiling over at Alice she went to attempt to change the subject when Alice asked what was going on. Before Jack could actually come up with what to say, she asked about Maci. Jack's eyes went hard, and she knew they had change color, and she felt the snarl in her throat before she could stop it. Okay, she had no control today. Digging her nails into her palms, she stopped herself quickly. Oh damn she was in trouble.
"The one who looks like she wants to kill you is family." She said, closing her eyes and trying to calm down. So much for keeping Maci out of their sights, but you didn't always get want. "She's my younger cousin."
Jack needed to chill. They weren't going to do anything to Maci, but her dominance kicked in when it came to her. She was her baby cousin, her best friend, and family. They were basically sisters, and Jack was extremely protective of her. These three, weren't human and the thought of them doing anything to Maci caused coyote to go nuts. Taking a deep breath, Jack closed her eyes then openned them, knowing the coyote was going to stay at the surface, refusing to go down to where she belonged.

Edward shrugged in response to Alice's projected question. They'd have to talk later. He focused his concentration on him and Alice having time to talk later on, and he hoped that her gift was able to pick up on it. “I don't think we'll be able to start explaining anything until we get to the house.” He said, running his fingers through his hair, “Seeing how my day is going, anyone up for a half-day?” He looked to Alice questioningly, hoping that she would agree. He didn't want to have to wait and talk about this later. Edward wanted to let her know everything then, to get her opinion on all that had happened.
His vision followed the direction Alice was looking and he bared his teeth in a snarl when the young girl shot daggers in their direction. Jack's statement drew Edward's attention. “Our kind?” He questioned, eyebrows raised as he looked her up and down.

Alice nodded in agreement to Edwards half day suggestion, the school were used to the Cullens taking time off, they didnt mind though since all of them were top of their classes. It wasnt like they wer missing much. She was unusually on edge ever since Edward had left, her visions were giving her headaches because she simply couldnt understand what they meant. Perhaps she was thinking so hard? Normally Jaspers calming effect on her helped her concentrate, she had no such luxury here though. She hoped though that the rest of the family would come home soon, she was starting to think they were going to need some advice. She knew Carlisles calm straight forward thinking would help, it always did.
Alice had known there was something odd about Jack, but still her comment about their kind made her suddenly very focused. So she had encountered Vampires before? She looked over to Maci and then back to Jack, seeing change in her eye colour she gasped slightly in shock... What the hell was she??? She edged slightly closer to Edward, she felt safer around him. At least he would be able to read her mind, for some reason her gift was drawing a blank on her. 'Perhaps this isnt the place for any of us to be discussing this...' Her eyes looked around the canteen, everyones eyes were watching them and she didnt like it one bit. She looked to Amanda, then to Jack, then finally Edward, she wanted to get everything sorted out, but this really wasnt the place for it. 'Perhaps we should all go somewhere where we can sort everything out?' She bit her lip nervously, she felt helpless and it was scaring her.

'' Sounds like a plan to me but Um.. considering Edward doesn't believe I am who I say I am is that really a good idea?'' Amanda asked running her fingers through her own hair the memories she got from Jack made her very edgy, well she had to admit taking half a day was a good plan mean it was only her 1st day but she wasn't exactly human so what would half a day do? She wasn't so sure she'd be welcomed at their home considering the fact edward didn't believe her, well alice was getting vibes that she was telling the truth but she hand't said otherwise which kind of annoyed mandy but she'd deal with it. All she knew was that it'd be better if the three of them left mainly because the memory reads she was getting from both girls scared her just as much as alice's feeling helpless there was something about both girls that made her very edgy, she hissed slightly as Maci's eyes aimed in her direction.
