Zavier smiled gently 'If your sure...' He knew that his sudden appearence, his red eyes and his cold touch probably didnt help matters at all. If he had known he would have packed some spare contacts in his bag, it was stupid of him not to have but it could have been worse. He was coming to the conclusion though that Kate was naturally nervous around people, whether they were a freak like him or not. It helped reassure him a little, though he was so curious to why she was like this. The human mind really interested him in a strange way.
He smirked a little to her reply 'Really? Do I hide it all that well?' He had many many years of practice hiding things from people, the main thing of course was hiding what he was from humans. Not many people would want to be alone in a room with him if they knew he was a vampire. 'Everyone hides their problems... Its only natural, some are just perhaps a little better than others' He shook his head when she asked if her guess was just silly 'I've had a lot of practice hiding my feelings' He smiled again to her gently.
'So do you come here often then?' He like walking through the woods, it was something he wasnt really used to, but he enjoyed it so far. There was certainly something very peaceful about it, perhaps he could use it as inspiration for a new book, he didnt know. He listened into the surrounding area, the sounds of the animals moving across the forest floor, it was nice, but certainly not the kind of things humans would hear. Perhaps the silence here is what Kate seeked.

Kate found herself nodding softly toward the words that escaped Zavier's lips, her timid aura not once editing to make herself more relaxed. She listened to him intently, smiling only just as she glanced down at his feet subconsciously. It helped her to feel less awkward - avoiding the gaze of others. She could never really understand why, but that had been the way it always had been. She had to inwardly agree with his statement surrounding people's feelings...for she to often hid her pain filled ones. Though, she was perfectly sure her ability to hide feelings weren't as good as the young man in front of her. That was a definite assumption.
She slowly felt her head rise at hearing the question directed at her. It came as a hard decision to figure how to answer it successfully. After all, just declaring that she did was to simple in her eyes, but could she even add the additional information? Yes, so simply exclaim that she traveled here to lounge in the depths of her Mother's death. That is perfectly sane obviously.
Not.
After multiple seconds, she let out a sigh and nodded, glancing toward him once more. His gentle and caring expression caught her off guard, but helped her to smile back a lot more freely as she nodded a little stronger. "...Quite a lot actually" She muttered quietly, shoulders untensing as she laughed a little. "I just like...the mystery surrounding it". Now, that statement was true to an extent...right?
[sorry for the lame response dude T_T really I am *sobs*]

As a flock of birds flew over head Zavier looked up and smiled a little, there was something magical about the forests, then again perhaps he had just been in the city too long. He nodded slowly to her answer 'There is something rather amazing about it all...' He couldnt help but think that perhaps there was more reasons for this timid little human to be out in the forests alone, but he wasnt going to press the matter. Zavier had learned a lot over the years and pressing people to tell them their problems never worked... Layers of trust had to be built first, then perhaps the bud would flower and open.
'I like to come out here, its so different to Central Park in New York' He laughed softly, here he could lose himself without having to worry about humans watching him, well in most cases anyway. 'Theres nothing like having a bit of a stroll after school, it clears my head' He smirked a little, school wasnt really a problem for him, he knew all the stuff his teachers threw at him, but it sounded like a reasonable human excuse to want to wander through the forests alone.
He let his hands fall from her arm as he sat down making himself comfortable on the damp forest floor. He didnt want her to feel uncomfortable and standing around for too long would probably keep her on edge. 'I like the busy life sometimes, but others I just like to chill ya know?' He looked to her and smiled but let his gaze move back to the ground so not to freak her with his eyes too much. ((Seriously dont worry about it )

Kate listened politely and nodded at some moments, dusting those loose strands from around her face away into the midst of the mess she called her hair. She inwardly had to agree over the amazing aura a forest provided, yet she knew only to well that this aura that lingered in this particular part of the forest wasn't to bright, but more darker. It seemed she could only feel such a thing, though, judging that Zavier hadn't been in Forks long, he obviously wouldn't know of the events that had happened in the previous year. Depressing events that scared Kate, each image pictured more gruesome and unrealistic than the other. That was the main problem in being imaginitive...the images produced where often so extreme they brought fresh terror and sorrow.
It made her laugh some what hearing him compare the forest to central park, of all places! She could easily pin point the vast differences between the two destinations, her head swirling at the prospect. "I'd...love to go there" She admitted quietly, smiling distantly at such an event. The holidays she had taken abroad weren't often so close to home, her most remembered being when she had just recently turned thirteen. Her Mother thought more inspiration would form if she traveled to Japan, a smaller town within it being her point of interest. Such a holiday had provided the young girl with so much admiration - plus an new found love for the classic food in the Japanese area known as sushi. Kate was soon distracted from her thoughts as she heard him mentioned about school. It was clear she hadn't seen him about, this causing her to gaze on in interest. Personally, she didn't find school to be to much of a problem as other students would often complain about. It wasn't boasting that she did rather well in her classes, it was just plain fact.
Though, she dared to never openly admit things, for the fear of being hurt and looked down upon often entered into the situation. To be placed in those areas of pain wasn't at all inviting. It was another fact that she wasn't one to fight back, even though it was a lie to say she never had. Trying her best to be more open and talkative, she flashed a curious smile in his direction - brave. "...Y-your in Forks High?" She questioned softly, completely aware of the reservation school. For some reason, the aspect of him attending such a school didn't seem as strong. The reservation's students always had a certain thing about them. Not that she was personally judging of course.
It struck her as odd to notice him suddenly take a seat, her lids fluttering in a bizarre way as she felt herself relax to such an extent her smile felt more natural. Her eyes locked with his after a moment, her instinct to look away. Yet, she forced herself to hold his gaze - the crimson flooding them making her wish to look all the more. Her expressing remained some what gentle in hopes to not look as though she was giving him a look to suggest she where insane. "Busy doesn't often...cross my path". Unsure whether to remain standing, she took to lean against a tree nearby, the bark rough against her back. When his eyes left her own to lock with the ground, she leaned her head up to stare into the canopy of leaves above her. "Though...its like time doesn't pass when you're here" She muttered honestly, smiling as a small bird escaped the tree, disappearing into the sky above her.
It was as though time didn't pass...even though it obviously did. The fresh flowers grown from the once bare and destructed ground was proof enough.
[[^_^ thanks hehe]]

Zavier chuckled lightly 'Its very different to here...' A lot busier, more people bugging him, homeless people, murders, all that Jazz. All the big flashing lights at night... Nothing like the calm of Forks at night. Then again some people really thrived on that, he enjoyed it at first but it really wasnt what he was looking for anymore. 'I am sure you will make it one day. If you do and I'm around I'll show you round' He laughed a little combing his fingers through his hair, he didnt know if he would go back to new york, not in her life time anyway. Those days in the lime light was over for him. It was a crazy thing to do really.
He looked up to her as she asked her question 'Yeah... You?' He didnt mind the school, the students there were mostly great, though that Newton kid got on his nerves. He didnt know of any other schools in Forks but he guessed La Push had their own school, otherwise this whole treaty thing cwouldnt work all that well... 'I like it there, its quiet' He smirked and sighed. Different to the schools of New York. 'Well kind of quiet' His life wasnt going to be that quiet with Edward around that was for sure.
His eyes met hers and he nodded listening to her as she spoke. 'Yeah I can imagine' He smiled gently his eyes also following the small bird. He liked being out here amongst nature, it calmed him, though unlike the cullens he didnt eat it... He smirked at the thought, nah, that really didnt appeal to him at all. He was comfortable with what he was, he had been doing it long enough now. ((sorry it really sucks :s))

Kate once again listened politely to what Zavier had to say, her form remaining stood as she smiled. How could he have wished to leave the grand clutches of New York for somewhere like Forks? It startled her to notice such a grand decision, but then again, she had to be reasonable. After all, once you where used to something maybe a change was necessary; no matter how big or small it would be. Maybe one day she'd be brave enough to finally leave Forks - move somewhere more extravagant. Now a thought like that was enough to make hr almost laugh out loud, eyes glimmering in amusement. As if.
She snapped back into the current reality of the situation as she noticed the question directed toward her, her smile familiar as she cautiously took a seat beside him, her attempts to be more brave in social situations her aim to be accomplished. "Yeah, I'm in Forks High...". Her smile remained as she closed her eyes at the small mention of quiet. It was true enough to the fact, but sometimes it could be irritating. Not that she would admit it out loud, for where she lived was a sanctuary at the moment. Slowly, she sighed and opened her eyes to glance at the green aura that surrounded the pair, them unseeing as she thought over basically anything and everything.
What related wasn't important..."Why Forks?" She inquired, seriously. Yes, he'd mentioned of its tranquil path, but there where far more luxurious areas of even grander tranquility than Forks. Now this did indeed interest her as she looked at him - head lounging on her knees in a bemused and caring manner - expression peaceful.

Zavier hadnt seen Kate around school, perhaps they were just in different places at different times. Though he was sure now he knew who she was he would notice her more. He was fairly popular in school, the girls thought he was cute and the guys thought he was cool to hang with. Though perhaps this is why he had never seen Kate, the quieter girls tended to stay away. 'Cool, havent seen you around there' He smirked slightly, he doubted Kate would have been the kind to approach him even if he had.
He considered her question for a moment, Forks had its advantages. For one it was tiny and out of the way, people were less likely to recognise who he was. Secondly the cloudy weather was perfect for him, he didnt need to hide so much. Though these were not answers he could really give Kate 'I have a friend that lives in Port Angeles, and I liked Forks when I visited it a few years back.' He shrugged a little, he did like Forks, it was perfect for him. Though he certainly didnt have friends nearby, enemies maybe...

Kate frowned some what to herself as she tried to think of how her enactments around people must affect them. It was something that came to her at an odd occurrence, mind a constant blur as she debated inwardly over such a thing. Maybe it was her own fault that her timid aura was over taking most of her lowering personal life. Lowering her head in the obvious shame of realizing such at thing, she shook her head and sighed out loud. "As...I say...I keep myself to myself" She admitted in a soft , nurturing tone of voice.
"I'm not good with people" She laughed some what, sighing out loud. Shaking her head harshly to distract herself from that scenario of thought, she redirected it toward Zavier's next mention. She listened politely and nodded, raising a brow. "...Port Angeles? I love it up there" She murmured, almost in a miniature daze as she giggle some what subconsciously. "I find it more attractive than Forks though" Kate said simply, tone faintly drop dead straight as she laughed nervously. How else could she explain it to the young man?
Biting on her lip some what in attempts to look sane, she shrugged some more for no real reason. "Though...Forks is indeed more calm I guess..." Now that much was of course true. Such a small population meant everyone knew something from someone - meaning things usually traveled fast. Unfortunately for Kate, she wasn't one to pick up on such information which flooded around like a loose bird - constantly on the escape from some vile and vicious predator. Sometimes, the brunette wished she could have picked up on such information that flew around her head constantly. It was unfortunate that she never did.

A slight frown also came to Zavier's face as Kate lowered her head in shame. He stood and walked over to her lifting her head gently with the tips of his fingers. 'You needn't be ashamed of it' He smiled gently and reassuringly. He didnt want her to be shy around him, but that would take time. He was patient though, after all he was over 300 years old, it came with the territory. Plus he was used to working with people who had no confidence in themselves. Zavier was probably the most conradicting personality anyone would come across in Forks. He was the guy everyone wanted to be friends with, the cool kid, but also was the compassionate one who was always there for his friends.
'Would you believe it if I told you I was like that once?' He smirked a little, okay it had been a very very long time ago in his human life, but it was still true. He was the shy baker boy who couldn't talk to the girls without his face going red. Now he was a different person all together, honed through hundreads of years of life.
He smiled as she talked about Port Angeles, he didn't actually like it all that much. Forks was pretty and quiet, he prefered city life to town life and Port Angeles was just a small town. Nothing of interest for him there... He nodded as she said that Forks was calmer 'You can say that again' he smirked and leaned back against a tree. 'I like it here, though you probably think thats odd for someone like me' Someone like him, he let off a gentle chuckle, indeed somewhere like Forks was a bad place for someone like him to be, epecially with the Cullens around.

A blush over took the ivory skin that covered the cheeks in which Kate held proudly - it flooding as if a crimson lake. Yet, she found it hard to escape his soft, honey comb gaze as they locked with hers. It was indeed a beautiful sight, but she was not going to admit that despite her ever growing blush. What else could she possibly say to Zavier without blushing all the more and stammering like a god damned chicken? Such a thing was impossible to decide...A sigh escaped as she distracted herself away from his gaze in a timid manner, his cold touch capturing her chin like a quick prick.
Yet, she didn't once complain. If to be honest, it felt strangely relieving to her. Her brows arched in disbelief as she looked at her hands in attempts not to stare. How could such a fact be true! "R-really?" She whispered, startled. Of course, to never judge others was something she had been taught for years - ever since her early days when her Mother had live along side her happily. Shaking her head to not look to amazed, she allowed her smile to soften once more - eyes locking with his again. "N-no...I don't think it is odd" She whispered, tone gentle and soft as she laughed. "It's your...its your choice" She pointed out, smile weak as her dimples revealed themselves vaguely.
"I...enjoy smaller places" She laughed happily. "But...that just isn't odd on my account". Now that was true to an extent!

Zavier nodded and smirked 'Yeah hard to believe isn't it?' he chuckled a little taking his hand away noticing her blush. 'I guess you can say I have blossomed since then though.' It certainly looked like Kate needed some time to blossom. He didnt doubt she could be strong and confident with a little bit of coaxing.
He smiled as she laughed 'My friends thought I was mad... Leaving the big city to come somewhere like this.' Well they didnt really since he didnt really have any friends. He didnt really build relationships with mortals, except professional ones of course. This going back to school thing hadnt been done in a very long time, it was presenting new challenges for him. 'Nice to see not everyone thinks that though! Everyone at school thinks I'm mad...' He chuckled 'Well nearly everyone it seemes.'

Kate's gaze never faulted as she continued to listen in a polite manner to what Zavier had to say - concentration on a higher level. Though, her blush remained visible as she nodded feebly toward his small statements. "I suppose it is" She whispered with a soft tone, smiling softly toward him. In all honesty, the brunette couldn't help but wish that she could to burst from her shy bubble and blossom into something more open...less timid. Hopefully for her, it would happen one day. As they say, the sooner the better. Now that would be a scenario she would look forward to achieving when it arrived.
Seeing his smile once again helped to release and unnerve the unnecessary tension within her shoulders, head shaking once more in a softer motion. "N-no...nothing is crazy...its just personal choice" She whispered, her tone honest as she carried on smiling herself. Kate watched him some what before shaking her head once more, unsure of how to think and react. The brunette still remained shy in the overall situation, fingers drumming against her leg softly as she grinned a little. "I...don't think anyone is mad." She laughed once more, and shrugged. It was true to an extent. One was not mad, just different in their mind. Why was that such a bad thing? Oh well... Subconsciously, she had began to grow into a dazed state - unaware of everything else.

It calmed Zavier a little to see that Kate was slowly relaxing slightly in his company. He was glad that he had managed to resist ripping her apart... He knew soon that he would need to travel to Seattle soon to feed. Having to go so far was an inconvinience, it also meant that Zavier was taking more risks than normal. He smiled gently back to Kate, he was enjoying their chat 'You know they say the flowers that bloom latest are the most beautiful and rare of all.' He chuckled lightly 'I think I got that from the film Mulan... But I think it holds a lot of truth.'
He grinned slightly to her 'I think then perhaps I have been keeping the wrong company.' He didn't mind people saying he was crazy for wanting to live in Forks, to them it might seem strange. Then again when you had been on the earth for more than 300 years you tended to look at things very differently than those who only knew it for 17.
Zavier looked to the sky as the sky started to darken, the thick heavy clouds slowly turning from light to dark grey. 'It looks like a storm may be coming tonight' He smiled gently, there was something calming about storms. He could smell the moisture in the air, it was a nice smell, though he looked to Kate 'I fear its going to rain' His smile remained, getting wet for him wasnt a problem, he was more concerned about his human companion.

Kate continued to seemingly relax as she breathed out softly, her gaze not once locking on a position as they began to wander around the area in slight interest. Each area of greenery seemed to make her breath and heart sore, her mind always managing to find some beauty within its clutches. Crossing her arms over the flat base that was her chest, she glanced toward Zavier as she took into consideration of what he just said. A light flush escaped along her ivory features as she grinned nervously yet again toward him. "I...I guess" She whispered embarrassed, the Mulan phrase making her giggle out loud.
Though, she shook her head with a softer smile all the more. "Maybe..they just can't see what is special about Forks?" She suggested happily, her palms rubbing up and down her arms in a motivation to calm her some what. Though, it didn't seem to work...darn. A light sigh escaped from Kate as she glanced around the emerald land surrounding the pair of them currently - each leaf and bark catching her attention briefly before being over come by the next sight which lay beside it. She rose a brow gently, arching it as she too glanced up toward the sky confused.
The sky was indeed growing to a shade of gray, eyes scanning the skies amazed. "Oh well" She whispered to herself, personally enjoying the rain yet fearing she would look pretty idiotic willingly running around in the rain as she often enjoyed doing so. Deciding to keep quiet on that note, she smiled and looked toward Zavier. "Hopefully it'll pass" She muttered quietly as her shoulders rolled subconsciously, eyes glimmering.

Zavier nodded and smirked slightly 'I guess they can't, then again you never see whats special about a place until you leave it...' He hadn't been back to London since he left, he knew it had changed a lot after the great plague in 1665. He had left before the great fire had destroyed half the city in 1666. Now he knew there was very little of the London he once knew, perhaps it was worth a visit one day, maybe in a few years. He missed the partied in New York though, Forks didn't really have much going for it. Of course there would be end of year prom, ugh... Prom.
Zavier smiled and watched her curiously 'The rain doesnt bother you all that much? Then again living here I guess you can't let it' He chuckled lightly, though he felt a little worried, after all it was winter and cold + rain = bad thing for humans. Then again if she was comfortable with it who was he to say otherwise? 'I am sure it will' He looked up to the sky and let out a soft sigh, he loved the rain, there was something calming about it. Though he would have looked like a right freak standing out in the pouring rain the the middle of NYC.
He looked back to Kate and smiled 'So miss Kate... Tell me a little about yourself... I feel like I hardly know who you are as a person and we have been sitting here a while' He chuckled gently 'I will tell if you tell...' He smirked and gave her a playful wink, he was sure he could make up a good enough story for his background, he had done it so many times before.
